Relaxed Elegance
Located within the Four Seasons resort, and being a Wolfgang Puck restaurant, we went in with high expectations and they were delightfully met. Elevated and overlooking the ocean, we were seated under a covered porch, which allowed us to enjoy the open air, while protected from the elements. The restaurant uses a waiter - waiter assistant approach, which generated a bespoke attention to detail. Our waiter, Jeffie, is a true professional, and had an amazing understanding of the menu. We followed his recommendation for all three courses, which were sublime. There is an open area where sushi is prepared. We had the toro, which was amazingly seasoned, which complemented without overpowering the tuna. It also went splendidly with our champagne. Main courses were the house-made tagliatelle with mushrooms, and a crab crusted Hawaiian Hepuโupuโu. In a word - amazing. We finished with the chocolate soufflรฉ. This is fine dinning so the cost reflects that. But if you want a great dinning experience with Maui charm this is the place.
Be the first to ReplyWONDERFUL FOOD, VIEW, WINE LIST AND SERVICE
We ate at Spago twice during our recent stay at the Four Seasons Maui. we were greeted warmly by Sara Rose who is the front of the house manager. She is both warm and accommodating. Our server was Nicole and she knew everything about the menu and the wine list. Hopefully she never returns to Oregon. The food was as good as you would get in New York City. The bottle of Capensis was a great wine and fairly priced. The food was creative and masterfully prepared. It is expensive but it is also a truly memorable evening.

Our first time dining here after visiting the other 4S restaurants and similar to those they are delicious and expensive. The regular menu entrees trend reasonable and the specials sounded amazing but then were over $100 per. Yes we can afford those but choose not to be nuts. Still was our second highest dinner tab this trip.

This is the four seasons and I expect more. The food was excellent, but the service was marginal. Ordering was just a strange sequence and then when one in our party wanted a different side dish they said ok. When they brought plates they hadnโt done the other side. They corrected that but when bill came they charged us for an extra side. We ordered dessert and coffee. The coffee came and was cold. I am one who can take warm coffee but this was cold. Dessert came and we ate without coffee. That came at the end. Not impressed

Views were gorgeous. The service top notch. Their food was amazing. We even loved their bread and butter. This is one of our fav restaurants on the Island and have made reservations to come back.

We were a party of 4 celebrating a 60th birthday. I reached out to the Manager Kassey Wolf to plan the evening. She assured me it would be a wonderful evening and herself and staff would go out of their way to make sure everything was perfect. She was not kidding! The lovely Sara made sure we were happy and stopped by several times to insure we were satisfied and to wish a Happy Birthday to the guest of honor. Our server Daniel was wonderful and the chefs attention to detail was amazing! The quality and flavor of the dishes were spot on and the presentation looked like a work of art! The staff made sure we had a beautiful table to enjoy the evening. Could not have been more happy!

Mediocre at best. The worst steak ever above $15. And it cost $85. Overcooked and grainy. Is food so bad these days that some people think this is a good restaurant?
Be the first to ReplyFantastic Culinary Experience!
This was a truly memorable dining experience. Every dish from appetizers to dessert was a creative combination of elements and beautifully presented. Our experience began with a special cocktail prepared at our table (Mo Money Mo Problems) which was followed by ahi poke in sesame-miso cones, and wagyu beef with caviar and gold flakes. The entrees we enjoyed included Thai style coconut red curry, duck, wagyu beef. The service was excellent. Our waiter could not have been more pleasant, professional or helpful. In addition to attentive service, he saved us from what would have been a miserable, dining experience. Here's what happened. The hostess sat our party of 4 next to a table of 9 very loud tourists who appeared to have been overserved. They were so boisterous we could not hear our waiter, and he could not hear us. Fortunately, our waiter acknowledged how bad the environment was for us and he moved us to another table. Thanks to him, we had an amazing dinner. The only reason this is a 4-star review is because there were many open tables that were not next to the ill-mannered party. The hostess could easily have sat us at another table had she been paying attention and/or had more experience and neither we nor our waiter would have had to resolve the problem. The purpose for mentioning this is to acknowledge our wonderful waiter and hopefully help others avoid a similar situation in the future. If you're in Wailea, a visit to Spago should be part of your plans.

We were staying at the four seasons in Maui and knew Spago was the marquee restaurant there. We had to go. It was a once-in-a-lifetime experience, which we hope we will be lucky enough to repeat. The location, venue was breathtaking at sunset. The menu was extensive decadent and incredible. Our server Jeff knew every detail of the menu and is an absolute expert on the intricacies that go into every dish. The meal and experience was one I will never forget. I had the half rack of lamb and the tastes, smells were better than anything I have had before. Everyone that works there seems very dialed in to making Spago an experience of a lifetime.

Top Level Dining. Superb Food, Service and Location. Prices fair for the outlet. Paid $ 500 for 4 Guests, worth it.
Be the first to ReplyTurned us away because we didn't have the Covid jab
We booked our reservation in Jan 2023 for late Feb 2023. Nowhere on the Four Seasons website, nor the Spago website, nor the OpenTable website (where we booked our rez) did it say that a vax passport was required. The DAY BEFORE our reservation we rec'd an email that we needed vax passports to dine. We called because we thought it was surely a mistake, but we were told we weren't welcome and had to cancel. So thanks, Spago, for leaving us reservationless on a Saturday night on our vacation. We could not find any place with available reservations that late in the game so we had to settle for food court pizza. Thanks for ruining our big night out. If you're going to have a BS policy, then at least put it on your website so people aren't left hanging.

The restaurant is located near the ocean in the Fout Seasons. It is well decorated, very pleasant. The food was incredible. There was three of us and we all chose something different and everything was well seasoned, well cooked. All our fish was so tender. The drinks were also good. Nice well balanced wine list. Chocolate soufflรฉ was very tasty. One of the best meals I had in a while. Pricey but worth it.

What a lovely evening. The food and presentation were both wonderful. Our waiter was knowledgeable regarding the menu and ingredients. I loved my risotto and red curry. My husband enjoyed his mushroom soup and mahi mahi. Our companions feasted on fresh green salads and the roasted chicken. My husband loved the cheesecake he ordered for dessert. This was a very special evening.

I was amazed when I realized a chocolate souffle was among the desserts offered. I ordered it. When it came, it was a large one, freshly cooked in their kitchen and very good. It came with chocolate sauce and a little ice cream. I've rarely been offered a souffle in any restaurant because of the difficulty of making them. The waiter was very helpful in helping me choose the main course with low sodium. The dining room was nice but too noisy. On the whole, a very good meal.

First had the pear and burrata app. It was very good. Also had some apple, prosciutto, and balsamic vinegerette to go with it. I had the Ricotta Gnocchi and it was very good. Also had the porkchop. It was tender enough that I liked it. The bread and butter is very good too. We had the chocolate souffle and pineapple crumble. Both were good. The souffle looks like a cake but the inside tastes like chocolate butter. The homemade cream and ice cream go well with it. Highly recommend this place.

Beautiful and absolutely stunning fine dining! We had dinner here on our honeymoon and made reservations in advance which got us a table on the patio with stunning views overlooking the Four Seasons resort and the ocean! We ordered the Poke Sesame Cones to start which were fantastic. The menu apparently changes frequently, but for our entrees I got the Stuffed Chicken and my husband splurged and got the Waygu. The chicken was probably the best chicken I ever had, and the Wagyu was pricey but soo worth it! Everything we ate here was nothing weโve ever tasted in the best way possible! Although, when our waitress came by to ask if we wanted more wine, she took my husbandโs glass away without asking if he was done with it. We did agree on another glass of wine, but the glass still had a couple sips left. Those last sips cost a lot when spending $50 a glass! But overall, Wolfgang Punk is the way to go for fine dining!

We recently had dinner at Spago and it was a great experience. The staff went out of their way to accommodate a special birthday dinner. The food was delicious. The staff was accommodating. It was a really nice experience.

I have specific diet restrictions that can be overwhelming. Our waitress took the time to specifically design (with the help of the chef) something I could eat. it was delicious and I wasn't made to feel bad for being difficult...she made it seem like she does it all the time and was happy to help out. Kids meals were great as well and seemed like a good value.

A Delicious Meal with wonderful service! We were a family of 9 including 3 generations. Kids menu was great. All the adults enjoyed a Hawaiian cocktail before dinner; all highly approved. A variety of apps & entrees and again were thoroughly enjoyed by all. This was a very special dinner for our family. Because of our large party we ate indoors but still had a lovely view. Highly recommend!!

Visited based on a local recommendation. Attentive service and good food. Service was a little slow. Quite a spendy dinner but was expected.
Be the first to ReplyA Visit to the Four Seasons and SPAGO
The restaurant is located in the Four Seasons resort. You can choose valet parking by pulling up to the hotel entrance, or take the park yourself option in the first garage you see coming down the hill. As you walk into the resort, once you get to the area with the check in desk, turn around. The restaurant is on the same level, to the left as you walk in, oceanside. We checked in slightly early, and were seated at a lovely table with a perfect view of the water. We started with a review of their 35 page wine list, which is available online. I can tell you that looking at a wine list of that magnitude can be daunting, but we settled on a nice California Cabernet. They do have a Level 3 Sommelier available to assist you in pairing a good wine with your meal - it is important to provide your price point, as some bottles are into 4 figure prices. For an appetizer, we ordered their Poke Tuna cones, which come with three cones. The server suggested upgrading to 4 cones, which we did. The poke was served in caramelized sugar cones - oooooo! Tasty! For the main course, my wife suggested their Tomahawk steak, which was served for two cooked medium rare, and sliced off the bone. It was very rich and tasted great. It was served on a bed which included rosemary and garlic, and the flavors really popped. The service was very good. If I reached for the wine decanter, our server appeared in seconds to pour. The views were outstanding - some of the best we have seen in Maui. This is definitely fine dining. With wine, were were north of $500 for the meal.
