Can't wait to go back.
WOW! What a fabulous restaurant. Thankfully we had a reservation as it was crowded on a weekday evening. The cocktails were delish. Hubby had the Don Dario and I had the Paloma. We started with the refried lentils. So much flavor. And the chips, so good. The guacamole was outstanding. Our server was amazing, so very helpful. I had the barbacoa, which was made with goat. I loved it. The pickled onions were delish. Hubby had the wagyu brisket tacos. The beef was flavorful and the tortillas were handmade for sure. Our guests had the tilefish...melt in your mouth and the sweet papas (oak grilled sweet potatoes), yummy. This was an excellent dining experience. Great food and knowledgeable staff, what more could you ask for.....oh the price point, on target! Go, enjoy every bite!

Really good food, drinks and service, would highly recommend if you are in Austin. We had to wait a bit for a table but it was worth it.

Best restaurant that I visited in Austin! Food was outstanding as well as the service and drinks! Ask your server what to order, you want their signature dishes.
Be the first to ReplyEverything good as should be for the price.
Cool place in East Austin. Everything is expensive and this is no exception. Great service and food but overpriced. We had the waygu brisket tacos. 4 tiny ones for 25. The smoked goat was good but $40 for 4oz? Of meat. Waiter was great and location was great. Went to Grackle a cool dive bar and Whislers a must for a European cave vibe for drinks.
Be the first to ReplyAmazing Latin Experience
I was fortunate to be included in a business group of nine persons for dinner at this fabulous Latin restaurant, with tons of interesting dishes. Service every step of the way is phenomenal. Drink orders were taken immediately, and I loved my classic Margarita. Oh so tasty. Then, our host ordered one of everything! So, we had a chance to taste each incredible starter. Check out the menu to see them all -- each one better than the other, with a huge spectrum of flavors. That aside, some of the group (like me) begged off ordering more food. I was already pretty stuffed. My seat mate convinced me to share a portion of his pan seared dorado fish, perfectly cooked, juicy and flavorful. Oh I wish I had more stomach capacity. Then I eyed the Suadero Tacos, and just had to have one of the 5 beautifully presented little guys. The taste was off the charts! Now I was over-stuffed, but really happy. So, go with a large group if you can, and try lots and lots of dishes, large and small. You won't be disappointed. Quite the contrary. Kudos to the Suerte kitchen team!

We had an amazing brunch at Suerte and would highly recommend amongst the many brilliant restaurants that Austin has to offer. Food, service and ambience without fault.
Be the first to ReplyDisappointed
Back in Austin visiting family and was truly looking forward to eating here again . Service here is still great , food presentation is great . Thatโs where the great stopped . Not sure if they have a new chef or? But other than the Wagu tacos everything was just plain blah tasting and we had many entrees and starters to share . They all โ lookedโ fantastic, but all lacked anything in the way of flavor. Truly a disappointment. And truly I was very very surprised.
Be the first to ReplyQuack!!!
The food was great. We picked 5 different dishes and all were amazing. The mole Duck was possibly the best duck Iโve ever tried so if you go, go duck.
Be the first to ReplyNot great.
Came from Chicago to visit my 34 yr old daughter and two of her malefriends. We are all foodies. The cocktails were amazing and an incredible mezcal Negroni. Next was the guacamole. A little too limey but good although the chips that came with it were sheets around 4x6. Not a good way to go if you have Covid phobia. Ordered the special which were Fish Flautas. One bite of the two fish species flauta turned our stomachs. It was a reminder of why you donโt thaw fish on the counter. Not a good example of Mexico City cuisine. Austin, your being duped .

This restaurant checks all the boxes! Atmosphere is high end yet down to earth. Service is exceptional! Food is out of this world! Carnitas, barbacoa, tacos, esquites, dessert, were all on point! We had trouble deciding on what cocktails we wanted so we got MANY different ones! The house margarita and the spritz were excellent! My friend will be bringing her husband to Austin just to go there and we are all the way from Pennsylvania! You cannot go wrong with this place!
Be the first to ReplyA Perfect Tex-Mex Dining Experience for us Vegetarians
Just one night in Austin had us looking for fantastic vegetarian food with a Texmex bent to it. That led us to Suerte which had the most unique-looking menu with the most options for our vegetarian preference after looking at many more upscale Texmex menus. Our experience was perfect. It's rare to find a place that has the perfect storm of everything โ not only excellent tasting food, but presented with an artist's sensibility so just the visual of it as it arrives at your table is already an experience worth having. Plus the staff has a deep knowledge of the food and drinks and can advocate with passion for what they're serving you based on your preferences. We had the Beet Huarache, Sunchokes and Tiayuda de Hongos. All of which we're gorgeous in our eyes and mouths. I also enjoyed the Rosa Pelligrossa cocktail which was equally beautiful to look at as well as drink. There were more vegetarian options to try (which we didn't have room for.) So if we lived in Austin we'd definitely come back often. Also, although the place was packed on a Saturday night, and we didn't have a reservation, we were still seated after only 10 minutes or so of arriving. Also, also, if you're just visiting Austin and based downtown, heading to this neighborhood on the other side of the highway gives you a completely different, more pleasant, funky, upscale vibe to walk around if the downtown vibe isn't quite you're thing. We couldn't have been happier with this perfect dinner experience.

Amazing food, service and selection . Nice French twist on some Mexican dishes. Creatively done , and knowledgeable staff. Deserves a repeat visit.
Be the first to ReplyAnother "sharing" restaurant that gives you tiny portions
I wouldn't mind sharing restaurants if they gave you enough food to share. I am still laughing about the butternut squash special - we ordered it and I almost burst out laughing when they brought it to the table. It had about 10 tiny cubes in the bowl for $17. We had 4 people at the table so everyone got a tiny bite. The food was interesting but such a ripoff. I can't wait until this "sharing" craze ends and people realize they are NOT lucky to get one bite of something for a lot of money. If Suerte were a "regular" restaurant with decent portions I would go back.
Be the first to ReplyJust Love Suerte โ Amazing Every Time
Incredible restaurant. Off-the-charts creativity with impeccable quality ingredients and attention to detail, including house-made masa made with care and love. Every dish seemed to be a unique, artistic explosion of modern Mexican flavors. Standout dishes include the Suaderos (brisket tacos), which may be the single best dish weโve had in years, the fluke verde, the tuna tartare, the beets and the most refined and indulgent updating of an old-school dessert โ the โchocotacoโ โ we can remember. Special shout out to the server, San Juan, who had an encyclopedic knowledge of every ingredient and preparation, which made our experience fulfilling both gastronomically and intellectually. Bravo!

Our experience at Suerte was amazing. All of the food was delicious!!! We were there for the brunch menu, and we all found plenty to choose from. The entrees were unique and things we wouldn't have tried elsewhere. Highly recommend!!!
Be the first to ReplyInspired fantastic Mexican
Delicious and innovative. Masa incorporated dishes for starter (tuna tiradito), 1st course (squash) and main (rabbit) as well as in the chocolate dessert. Wonderful flavors, substantial portions and excellent service made this a fantastic dining experience. Worth the detour to Austin!
Be the first to ReplyDO NOT VISIT THIS RESTURANT!
Please do not visit this place. I usually don't write reviews, but this place is the worst restaurant I have ever seen. I order appetizers and some drinks. The EGGPLANT SIKIL PAK was the worst thing I have ever put in my mouth. When we finally got sited to our table, the waiter got upset because I moved the table in a form that I could sit with my wife and enjoy eating our dinner next to each other. What comes after that is a lack of training from management with their employees. The disrespect and rudeness of the apparent manager were off the cart to a point that I decided to leave without eating. I will tell everyone I know not to visit this restaurant for a long time. If I could, I would give zero stars.
Be the first to ReplyYum! Great meal! Great Service!
Sat on the patio. Cozy and good street energy. All the servers were knowledgeable, engaging, and efficient. Perfect food delivery for each of our 8 or so plates/offerings. Each dish had fresh ingredients and something unique in terns of flavors and presentation. McKinley (see photo) , in training, was an accomplished conversationalist, had an abundance of charm, and a โwow,โ personality. Nicely done.
Be the first to ReplyQuality and flavor like NO other
First off: best skinny margarita Iโve ever had! The experience starts from the minute you walk in the front door. You can tell it will be a 5 star experience from the start. The waiter was kind and helpful making lots of suggestions. It is a bit pricey but the food is like no other. A fine dining experience I highly recommend!
