Sugar Factory - Foxwoods Mashantucket Reviews from The Last Year
DON'T ORDER THE FAJITAS - very disappointing
Our first time here celebrating my mother's birthday. Three of us had burgers which were good, but my mom got the steak fajitas. Literally, there were eight VERY THIN slices of beef and tons of peppers, mushrooms and onions. There was no cheese, sour cream or guacamole served and the 4 flour tortillas were each 4 inches round. Worst fajitas ever. The waitress was nice and spoke to the manager about it. The waitress apparently was told to tell us, that the meat is portioned and it was the correct amount. Not impressed. Good service from our server.
Yummy!
Yummy! We did not try any food but came for the sweets! We shared an Oreo Sundae..and it was amazing! At the table next to us, a group of ladies had a birthday and the staff brought out a huge Shake..with a slice of chocolate birthday cake on top! Loaded to the top with whip cream and sang to her! Very cute! Pricey but enough to share!

Is this a well kept secret? Sugar Factory serves brunch, how great is that! Surrounded by the uplifting atmosphere Sugar Factory is known for we were treated to a delish breakfast, fresh coffee with a carafe for convenient refills, real orange juice, fluffy scrambled eggs and crisp bacon. Our server was Cassidy. She was friendly more than efficient and professional. There are almost no choices for weekday brunch anymore here at Foxwoods. SF serves Mon thru Fri 11am to 2 pm. They have weekend hours too and a more expanded menu,
came for a family birthday.
the music was amazing, the atmosphere was great ,our server simone was very attentive and friendly

A lot of people complain about this place but I found it amazing!! Me and my Mother went with no reservations at all and managed to get a table within a hour. I know for some people that sounds too long but you also have to understand the place is popular and that's what happens at popular places long lines and it's pretty loud. $39 dollars for a dried iced drink isn't bad considering it's DRY ICE in a drink. Super cool and they definitely knew how to season food correctly. Staff was super kind! Personally it wasn't my birthday but the lights went out and a huge sign was held with waiters/waitress while playing music. So fricken cool!!! Definitely booking for my birthday at sugar factory !!
the food was amazing.
it was my bestfriends birthday, our server was simone. she was very polite vey bubbly, it felt like we were her only table..but she seemed to have plenty, left her a very nice tip..

Such a fun spot!!! The milkshakes were incredible!! The smoking watermelon sugar goblet was sweet but super refreshing! I ordered the sesame chicken stir fry as my meal and it was really good! We were so full we didn't have room for dessert, but I'd imagine those are just as fun as the drinks and milkshakes!
I came here w/ my sister & cousin.
Waitress was very nice & pleasant!I ordered the colorful cheeseburger sliders. I ordered it to go b/c I wasn't really hungry @ the moment.I felt like it was over priced for the quality of the meat. I did get a rubber ducky! It comes in the middle of the sliders. For my drink I had Henny Moon Goblet(Hennessy, sweet fresh tropical tangerine juices, & 818 tequila! Garnished w/ glitter sour stars/moons and sour peach hearts). Waitress came w/ the drinks separate from the goblet in mixers.it was super cool b/c they used dry ice so it looked magical when she poured the drink! It was sugar overload but tasted good. Juice didnt overpower the liquor so I got a little buzz. The drink was so big I stood there an hour to finish it. Love the candy decorations! My favorite was the giant duck in front of the restaurant! It's a great photo op!
Food was really not good at all.
service was terrible. Do yourself a favor and don't, its a place for parents to spend $40 on over priced non alcoholic drink
Grumpy hostess staff
Rudest hostess staff I have met in a long time. Thankfully our waitress made up for their bad behavior. The only time they smiled or acknowledged a guest was when people left and they thanked them for coming. Understandable there was no line at this restaurant on a Saturday night at a casino. The pair turned off everyone who greeted them. Totally ruined the vibe for my daughter’s birthday celebration.
Ahhh ..another restaurant...went downhill......
Milkshakes were great but food was so so.. overcooked sliders...greasy small portion of fries. And service was awful...waited and waited after seated for a waitress. Drinks finally ordered. But waited and waited for them.....disappointed In food. .once it arrived.. overcooked..greasy... rolls were yuck.. grilled cheese had cheese not even melted.. waitress never came to table to ask how everything was. She needs some training...and restaurant was not even 1/2 full...disappointing to say the least...
Reservation made on OpenTable was super easy.
We showed up 15 minutes before our 7:30 reservation on a Friday night and were seated within 5 minutes. The restaurant has an open type feel to the casino but feels like it is its own thing, which I loved. The decor was so pretty. Total party type vibe. The menu was surprisingly great. We've been to a different sugar factory and the menu was sparse. This menu was not only full of options, but unique options that made it hard to decide. We had a table of three and here is what was ordered: Flaming hot Cheeto burger- my son loved it. Said that you couldn't taste the Cheetos in every bite, but that they gave it the perfect crunch. Super cheesy Smokey burger- melted cheese and bacon poured over the top. My husband asked for it with one beef patty instead of two. They said they could do it, but it wouldn't change the price. We were fine with that as he didn't want that big of a burger. It. Was. Messy! But he loved it. The cheese was so flavorful! I may have stollen many fries to scoop up the dropped cheese... Cajun chicken penne Alfredo- so good. I loved the flavor. It had a little bit of a kick, but I wouldn't call it spicy. The bread that came with it was super buttery and delicious! Not a ton of chicken in there, but it was enough. Peachy punch goblet with no alcohol- We love sharing these. They are super sweet, but fun. My son always jokes that it's spicy air when you get down to the bottom because of the dry ice. We loved the peachy/pineapple/strawberry flavor of this one. S'mores brownie milkshake- massive and delicious! Chocolate shake with two s'mores and a brownie on top. The chocolate shake by itself was just average, but the toppings made it amazing. By the end we were so happily stuffed! The service was alright. Our drinks never got refilled and we only saw our server when he took our orders, brought the food and checked on us at the end. He seemed frazzled, but that wouldn't keep us from coming back.

I arrived at this restaurant expecting a great meal with excellent service as usual. When I sat down I ordered then was immediately served with uncooked chicken, overcooked cheeseburgers, and overdone salmon. I regarded the server about these issues and she stated that there was nothing she could do and was extremely rude about it. I requested the manager and she was very rude and snappy when we simply told her what the issues were. Almost had us pay over 200 dollars and refused to take the meals off the bill. Another thing was that there was only two workers in the entire restaurant so it was very inattentive. Terrible experience.
Gross lunch
Terrible, over priced food and sub- par service. I guess I could see why kids like it, but even then it seems overkill. Why, oh why, do they not have any decent restaurants at Foxwoods?
TERRIBLE
I went to Sugar Factory on Dec 16. 12:15 It was early and not crowded i didn't have a reservation. I asked to be seated, after an eyeroll from the hostess and ignored by who i learned later was the manager, we were brought to a table... and left to die for the next 2 hours of my life. There were multiple large parties that sat after us, so my husband and I tried to immediately place our order. A couple burgers and a regular run of the mill chocolate milkshake. After 50 mins my husband brought to my attention that my milkshake hadn't even come out yet. While we watched all the 10 top tables get multiple rounds of drinks from the bar, multiple food delivered, the fancy shakes. We were lied to and told the kitchen dropped all the slips and asked what we ordered at that time. After begging for the milkshake 4 more times, it was eventually brought to me. After another 40 minutes our food was finally brought out to us and guess what IT WAS WRONG. We told our waitress we didn't want that food that we didn't order. At this point now it's 1:45 i haven't eaten all day, the food is wrong, i could literally cry. We were told that we would be given some boxes to pack up the food. Why do i want food that i couldn't even sit there and eat because it was wrong. I had to walk to another restaurant at Foxwoods and start the process of getting something to eat all over. I only had 3 hours to spend at Foxwood's that day. I didn't think it would be taken up by having to restaurant hop. My husband finally spoke with the manager and all she had to say was ok thank you for letting me know. Really, super professional there. Glad she could take the time out of staring at her phone to make sure that guests were happy. That woman is the face of a restaurant and looked as unprofessional as they come. Right down to the double septum piercing. Not a great look for a such an overpriced restaurant. This experience will stop me from EVER going to this establishment again, no matter the location. Save your money and get treated better anywhere else at Foxwoods.
Horrible, disgusting, Will not be back
I have genuinely never had a worse experience at a restaraunt, especially one that’s supposed to be very popular and nation-wide. For starters, they brought us fries instead of our loaded fries we ordered, fine mistakes happen I get it. Then after ordering our milkshakes with no other food ordered and 2 other tables in the whole restaraunt, we wait 30 minutes for our milkshakes. Our waitor told us he was grabbing our shakes, but within that time the 2 tables who came in and ordered AFTER US, received their shakes before we did, and it was at least another 10 minutes after the waitor telling us they are coming. When our desserts finally came, they forgot to put in the crème brûlée we ordered. To offer us compensation for our wasted time the manager offered to “take care of it” for us. Very kind of him due to our frustrations, until we saw that $3 off of each $20 milkshake was taken off, a total of $6 was considered ‘taking care of us’. Needless to say we will absolutely never be back and hope you take this into consideration before spending an arm and a leg for below average food and customer service.
Great place to go for a celebration
We took our twin daughters here for their 21st birthday. Everything exceeded my expectations! The service was great - we did not feel rushed at all. We ordered a specialty goblet, and the server asked if I wanted to film it before he poured it in the glass - which had a great dry ice effect. It was also delicious! I ordered the flaming hot cheetos burger, which was the best burger I've ever had! The onion rings I got with it were also very good. We also got the fried oreo insane milkshake, which was equally delicious! I would definitely come back here again - especially for a special occasion. The food and drinks not only looked great, but tasted equally good.
Sugarfeast
Always wanted to go here. Came for dessert only . Service was excellent. Was fun to look around at all the different drinks/desserts that people were getting.
Horrible service/ Chef/Host/Waitress/Poor Management
Horrible staff. Not a family friendly environment at all. They have a dangerous and nasty attitude. being busy is not an excuse to treat people this bad. We just had the most absolutely horrific experience we have ever had ever in our lives. Started right from the beginning. We were out trying to celebrate our kids birthday that we actually share with and were just kicked out for having a complain on a burnt food. Our child has special needs and did not want to eat a charred piece bread so we were ignored until a lady just showed up and kicked us out. The waiter and front host were aggressive From the start. It was so sad to see having special needs kids in the mix, we could not even get a word out. We didn't get seated properly from the beginning despite that we had a reservation because they wanted us to take the baby out of a car seat. Mind you, a carrrrrrr seat! We were completely mistreated when we complained to the point that they burned our food and refused to come back. starving us.. Then we finally found out that the reason noone returned to our table was because we were being marked as unwelcomed and they kicked us out. FOR COMPLAINING ABOUT NOT GETTING SERVICE OR THAT THE FOOD WAS BURNT. At the end I asked for clarification and was screamed out by a manager Shavawn?? Who has a scary level of unchecked power to the point that she kept repeating that she did not need tO explain anything or give us any reason at all. REFUSED TO GIVE US A REASON FOR KICKING US OUT OR WHY?? SHE ACTUALLY tripled up on the bad horrific experience. Completely unprofessional the chef was upset and came out to voice that he was offended when we sent the bread back. NOT CARING ABSOLUTELY ONE BIT OF OUR AUTISTIC CHILD & our birthday. Yikes !! Real mismanagement at its best and corporate needs to get involved. Trust me when we say this is scarily unacceptable in so many levels. WE ARE COMPLETELY MARKED FOR THE REST OF OUR LIVES FYI.. dates and family are everything forever. I truly beg that they do something about this. I felt like being kicked in the face while others held ours hands behind our backs. I get it it's Saturday or Sunday but if you cannot have any human care in the world than please shut down. #Chanel7CT
All Glitz and Glamour - No Substance
I am always disappointed with my meal at Sugar Factory. I ordered a short stack of pancakes and they were pre baked. They were not even lukewarm when they were served to me. I sent them back. I requested butter and syrup. I didn’t get the butter. If I had gotten the butter it would not have melted. The scrambled eggs were ok. The hash browns were cold, oily and spicy. It makes me wonder if there are any chefs in the kitchen or just employees reheating pre cooked food. I cannot recommend this restaurant and I will not be returning
Service was terrible, rushed us through our meal, refused to split the check
5 of us had a reservation for a business lunch/get together at 11:30am. I arrived a few minutes early and, after waiting for the hostess (who never unacknowledged my presence) to finish her phone conversation, checked in. although there were no more than 4 customers in the restaurant at the time, I was told I needed to wait until all 5 were there before she would seat us. A short time later, 3 others from my group arrived. It appeared the 5th was running late as it was 11:30. I returned to the hostess and requested we be seated. She looked as if this was an unreasonable request, and reluctantly brought us to our table. Throughout our lunch, I noticed her glaring over in our direction several times. This could have been coincidence, but there was no one sitting at any of the tables behind us. Our server appeared a minute later and asked for our drink orders. She didn't seem to be in a good mood either. The 5th member of our group arrived a little late and joined us at the table. When we ordered our food, one in our group asked for a meal to go and what was the easiest way to go about that. Our server took the order and told her just to let her know when to put it in. That opportunity never occurred. The server seemed in a hurry to move our meal along, clearing plates, bringing boxes for leftovers, and never once asking if we wanted another round of drinks. I actually asked her if there was a time limit to our lunch. Much to her dismay, we asked for the dessert menu. That's what we got. ONE menu. For 5 of us. We ordered one item and split it between us. Now, I will say, the food really was decent. The portions were good sized and tasted good. Dessert was very good as well. Then came the check, AND the take out meal. The server took it upon herself to have the kitchen prepare it, rather than asking if it should be put in. We weren't asked if we wanted anything else or if we were ready for the check. We weren't asked if the bill needed to be done any particular way, it was just placed on the table as if our time was up and we needed to vacate asap. Since this was a work lunch, we requested the alcoholic beverages be on their own check. We were told no. After we questioned why, someone else came to the table and told us, in a similar tone, no, they do not split checks. At all. I've never heard of such a thing. It's not that difficult. I don't know what's up at this restaurant, but it seemed evident that everyone but the kitchen staff was miserable. They hurried us through our meal and drove us out. 5 women meeting for lunch in a restaurant at 1/4 capacity on a Thursday. As we walked out, the hostess was on the phone. My coworker made a comment that she saw no notice anywhere about a policy about splitting bills. The hostess covered the receiver on the phone and said, "it says it online when you make the reservation." Meanwhile, an older couple was waiting for the hostess to get off the phone (still). I leaned over to them and told them the service was horrible. The couple then asked if I could recommend someplace else, and I certainly did. They walked away in the direction of the place next door I told them about. The hostess then quickly hung up the phone, gave me a nasty look and went to complain to her other grouchy work friends. It's too bad. We had been looking forward to a fun, relaxed lunch at a restaurant we'd been wanting to try. Definitely won't be going back
