I was in the neighborhood and was looking for duck sauce late at night around 7 pm. There was no Asian markets opened at that time so I knew I could find sauce packets in a Chinese restaurant nearby. I decided to stop by to see if they had any and asked if I could possibly get 3 and was ready to pay for them. When I walked in, the place was lonely except for two guys in the back and the two owners sitting in the lobby eating. The old lady got up and went next to all the food and gave a look as what I was going to order. I proceeded to ask if she had any duck sauce packets and her grin then changed to confusion to a utter stare until she said something under her breath and proceeded to the cashier. She reached under and pulled 3 packets out and dropped them on the counter. And told me the price. I showed her my debit card and when she saw it, she gave an utter disgusted look and said "No, No" and put the packets away (angrily) and helped the next customer while I was still standing there. I then looked up and saw a $5 dollar minimum for debit card transactions. (Creative way to get at least 5 dollars and above for every transaction). I walked outside and asked my partner to look for change in the car through the window and came back inside the building with the dollar. Had to wait in line as there was the previous customer that had ordered finishing his transaction. After he left, I went to the front and without looking at me grabbed the duck sauce packets and dropped them on the counter. I gave her the dollar and without saying anything, I left without saying anything, as she was being too rude for me to feel grateful. It felt like a straight thorough event without feeling of gratitude from both parties. Meanwhile I was there, the whole time I felt really uneasy. I didn't feel welcome, even if I were to be a customer and eat there. The food didn't look good (my opinion) and the lighting and scene in that restaurant during night time felt sinister and had just a really heavy feeling. Overall, the experience was creepy, rude, sketchy, very small, the place was very unkempt and wanted to walk out as soon as I walked in.
