Quick service with lovely fresh food
Lovely experience. The wait staff are so lovely and humble. Quick service with lovely fresh food. We were very happy with all dishes and left feeling satisfied. The prices are extremely reasonable. We love this place and it was my choice to go there for my birthday.

This is one of the very few sushi trains in Melbourne. It is a little tricky to find but I promise it is worth it. We were fortunate to arrive a little before 12pm on a Saturday and were seated immediately. You can order on a tablet for food and drinks to come to your table or if you are seated at the counter, you can pull sushi straight off the train as it passes by. The nigiri sushi was outstanding, the fish was very fresh and the rice was well seasoned. This was certainly not your typical standard sushi experience. We also ordered some hot menu items such as Agadashi tofu and karrage. Both were well balanced and delicious, especially the tofu. I would highly recommend this sushi train if you value quality. Please keep in mind it is very popular and can attract lines.

Pathetic. Made my wife and daughter wait outside in the cold while 3 others families walked straight past them and were seated. All because I wasnโt present due to parking issues. When asked to speak to the manager they stated they donโt have one. For an authentic Japanese restaurant their morals donโt match mainland Japan.

This is one of the few Sushi Trains in Melbourne. On arrival there was quite a queue outside to get in due to covid limits. Just goes to show you how popular this place is. Was super lucky to get a seat at the conveyer belt. Staff were nice and food was good. First time trying Octopus. Each table or seating has a computer with a menu to choose from or you can go off the belt. I do recommend getting here early to avoid waiting times.

We stopped by Sushi Hotaru during our Melbourne visit since we wanted to go to sushi conveyor belt restaurant. Sushi train had many options but there was also an ipad on each table to order extra rolls and drinks from their menu. Great place if you want to visit a sushi conveyor belt restaurant.

Service could be better but this place is mostly 5 star in every way except for the wait that could take up to an hour if your in a busy time period

Tucked away at back of the Mid City Arcade in Bourke st, you'll find this little gem. Sushi train with great assortment. Best bit: only $3.80 per plate for the majority of plates inc seafood combinations. Need to get there early: small place which fills up very fast. Well worth seeking out! Simply great sushi!

Even with all the sushi options around I Always end up coming back here with my other sushi loving friend. Sushi is fresh, good presentation, reasonable prices $3.70 a plate during dinner. Staff are friendly and polite. The food you order is prepared on the spot and we always end up getting the green tea ice cream at the end. Worth a try

3.80 per plate so many choices and the menu keeps changing. My favourite is the soft shell crab hand roll and oyster crumbed and fried. You will not be disappointed.

Discrete location.
Lined up for approximately 20 minutes.
Once we got used to the order system the food was great.
The staff were enthusiastic and polite.
Would return, recommend the tuna sushi roll and all the chicken! Easy dinner and not too filling
Sadly getting worse over time...
Getting worse over the years in both service and quality. We used to like coming here almost monthly but not any more.
The raw fish used to be a lot fresher and it now taste just like a normal sushi train shop run by non Japanese people.
Service wise... We politely complained about a piece of over burnt Karage Chicken but was told โitโs marinated with wine and itโs like that...โ.
I guess this can be verified by the shortening queue time too. Use to take 45-60 mins on Saturday evening and we could almost do a walk in recently.
Didn't live up to the hype
I found this tucked away Sushi joint was average at best and didn't live up to the reviews I'd read.
The place was packed and the train itself was all but empty. There is tablet ordering which is slow and annoyingly non intuitive to use. There was no effort to replenish the train while I was there.
I ended up having three plates before pulling the pin. The cooked Tuna rolls were ok, the chicken tempura ok as well but the chicken karaage was dripping in oil and flavorless. That did it for me.
A long wait but worth it
Here you will find sushi and other side dishes that are pretty reasonably priced. Order from the menu (I never take dishes from the sushi train though) as it's cooked or made fresh.
