Great sushi and service.
It's a small, cute spot that was very accommodating. We had an awkward corner spot at the bar; a friend had to sit around the corner and he had to stretch his neck out to converse with us. We opted to take those seats because we were all starving and we didn't want to wait. As soon as a table opened up, they asked us if we wanted to move to a better table. I thought that was really nice considering they didn't have to move us at all.

I usual do take out. But, a pleasant place to eat also. And it's just around the corner.
Be the first to ReplyI go here all the time.
Fantasy roll is the best. Staff is very nice too-very accommodating to kids.
Be the first to ReplyThis restaurant is so cute! It is the perfect casual date
This restaurant is so cute! It is the perfect casual date night spot, small, nice lighting and cozy. It is a smaller restaurant and parking is hard so I recommend coming on the earlier side. The service was very friendly and the sushi was solid! I got the sashimi starter which comes with Salad, Miso Soup, and Rice and then 10 pieces of sashimi - 2 pieces each of Salmon, Hamachi, Tuna, White Tuna, and Butterfish. The Hamachi was AMAZING - buttery soft and so flavorful. The Salmon and Butterfish were good, but the Tuna and White Tuna were not good. They were super tough, with lots of fibers and very hard to bite into. I wouldn't recommend getting those. The rolls and tempura looked really good. Overall, I recommend this sushi spot!

Been going here for years! Always amazing service and food! It's hard to pick out one roll as my favorite because they are all so good! Andy the head chef and owner is always so kind and generous! Truly a lovely sushi place. :)
Be the first to ReplyMy husband and I went here for the first time after many
My husband and I went here for the first time after many years living in Oakland and it did not disappoint! We ordered the soft shell crab appetizer and the spicy yellowtail. Hands down the spicy yellowtail was one of the best pieces of fresh fish I have ever tasted. I am still thinking about it a week later. HIGHLY recommend. I wouldn't order the soft shell crab again. Didn't have a ton of flavor. This place has excellent service, an expansive sake menu and a lot of sushi (and other food) options. Generally about $18 per item as far as sushi and sashimi. Hoping to go back and enjoy that yellowtail again ASAP.

We've lived nearby for a couple years and have been coming here regularly. Service and food are both reliably solid. Sushi is good and we also like their Katsu Don. Great neighborhood sushi spot!
Be the first to ReplyI love this place.
Very friendly staff and the sushi is terrific. Small and cozy atmosphere.
Be the first to ReplyI've only ordered and picked up from them as the are close.
Great sushi rolls at fair prices. The only negative I can think of is they have no online menu. I need to look a pictures of the menu others have posted here on yelp.
Be the first to ReplyStill better than ever.
We've been going here for 8 years. Our kids have grown up here. They always recognize us. Their sushi is fantastic. Anytime we try a different sushi restaurant we regret it. Don't go anywhere else!
Be the first to ReplyI've been coming here for awhile and service has always
I've been coming here for awhile and service has always been good and food is decent - not great, but functional. People say they can recognize if a restaurant will have good food and that's based on the bad customer service reviews. Well, Sushi Park has neither going for them. So that theory goes out the window... My friend and I went in there last night and ordered a drinks and food and the waiter was keeping tabs on how much we were ordering and kept telling us we needed to order more so we fulfill a $25/person minimum. Like I said, I've been coming in here for a while and I've ordered rolls for $11 and a can of soda at $4, and magically tonight there's a $25/person order minimum? Food was subpar. Edamame's and roll was soggy. But the weirdest thing was how the waiter kept coming back to remind us what was on our tab. My friend and I thought maybe she thought we were poor and wanted to make sure we weren't going to dine and dash. So strange considering I've been coming to this place for awhile. I don't know what that was about, but I know for sure I won't be coming here again.

Be the first to ReplyI was really excited to find a sushi place near my
I was really excited to find a sushi place near my workplace. My husband and I loves sushi and we'd always want to dine for sushi almost every week. Sadly, we were very disappointed with our experience in the restaurant. It was one weekday, we decided to go for this sushi place for the first time. Around 6 pm. We had a to-go so we just waited inside and the lady said it will take 30minutes. It was really cold that day and we parked a little far from Sushi Park itself. Youre lucky if you find a parking space infront of the restaurant. So while patiently waiting for our order, one of the service crew came to us and asked us if we would like to come back and take a walk because they have a new customer and needs to be seated. Like take your a** off the chair and a new customer needs a seat. I understand the place is small and it gets full during that hour but to ask us to leave? Are we not a customer? If we wanted to leave and come back for our order, we would have done it in the first place. My husband just kept his cool and said ok but he did not leave his seat. The 'new customer' kind of winked at us and pointed to a table that needs to be cleaned, telling us not to bother and theyre okay to be seated over there. They even knew that what the service crew did was inappropriate! My husband was so disappointed. You dont compromise a customer for another. The place is full, you wait for someone to finish and leave. Then you take a seat. It's okay if before I even take a seat, she'd say "Its going to take awhile, you might want to come back after 30minutes?" But we already had taken a seat and she said "Do you want to come back and take a walk first because we have a customer and needs a table" Wow. It took around 35-40minutes before we got our order. Out of 3 sushi order, only one had its sauce and wasabi. I need to find another sushi place near my workplace.
Be the first to ReplyReally fresh delicious sushi.
My favorite in Oakland. It's a small restaurant, so make sure to make a reservation if you go later in the week for dinner. I tend to get takeout more than eat at the restaurant, but when I have dined out the service is always good. Overall I'd highly recommend!
Be the first to ReplyFirst time being there and didn't want to drive somewhere
First time being there and didn't want to drive somewhere further for sushi since this place was only about 5-8 mins away from me. Place is pretty small. Hold up to maybe 20 people? I had sat next to the the window but it seem like the lady kind of forgot about me? So Service is Okay and as for the food. It's Okay too.
Be the first to ReplyOne of our go to spots for sushi in the neighborhood.
I love both their indoor and outdoor seating. Got their lion king roll and tempura.

Service was nonexistent, server literally ignored us when we went in and she saw that we had a child so we asked for a high chair but she was non responsive and took awhile before she brought it out. She also took the food plates right away after finishing and even put the remainder food on another plate so she can take it? We were literally still eating. My husband finished eating first and she immediately came and took all his utensils, while I'm still working on my food. It wasn't even busy. Food wise, we got the salmon sashimi and chirashi don, both were not fresh and close to $55. All the sashimi had no taste. Won't recommend getting. The rolls were the biggest highlight, we got the UFO, which was a deep fried roll with raw scallop on top, the scallops melted in your mouth and compliments the deep fried texture well. The spicy geisha also has a lot of depth and complex flavours.

Excellent Sushi , always fresh ingredients, super friendly waitstaff. A great Glenview restaurant!
Be the first to ReplyThey're sushi is really good, but I'm bot sure why I am
They're sushi is really good, but I'm bot sure why I am treated differently than the other customers. This has been the third time I have experienced rudeness and my order was rejected because they dont want to make anything I can eat. I get it sushi is meant raw, but the rudeness can be left at home. This is the last time I an trying with this restaurant. I don't even want to make it a racial issue but I always get the same item, yet you make it hard every time I order...
Be the first to ReplyThey posted their hours as closing at 9:30 PM on their menu
They posted their hours as closing at 9:30 PM on their menu and on their door, but they told us 9:00 PM to try to rush us out because we had gotten there (late to them apparently) at 8 PM! (See pic of posted closing time.)This was unsettling because it's unprofessional for one, and, two, I especially hate being rushed to eat. Admittedly, most of the fish on the sushi was more or less fresh, but the Ebi (Shrimp) was very chewy, almost rubbery. So do not order! Also, the sushi rice was really a letdown. It almost tasted like plain Japanese sticky rice; there was barely any hint of seasoning--bereft of rice vinegar or sugar (or at least mirin). If you've never tried to make sushi rice, trust me when I say these are essentials. The server even tried to sell us down to the Sushi Regular when we ordered the Sushi Deluxe, saying the latter was really too big. Huh? Which eating establishment tries to sell you down?? Some might actually do because they have that rare altruistic heart when they don't think you can come close to finishing it. But upon seeing what actually came as the deluxe, which wasn't super big, Sushi Park is clearly not one of them. I felt the server was just trying to sell us down because she didn't want the sushi chefs to have to take longer to make a bigger order, and they all didn't want us to linger longer eating when they had planned to close earlier for the night. The server was also abrupt and not very engaging, again and in keeping with the "trying to rush us out" theme. Also, be warned, parking is tough there since there aren't that many spaces and there are a lot of storefronts competing for foot traffic.
Be the first to ReplyI consider this one of my go to neighborhood sushi spots
I consider this one of my go to neighborhood sushi spots and it's a really good one. The service is always on point and the food fresh. The wait is always reasonable. It's a winner and I shall return.
Be the first to ReplyThe sushi was not fresh, the tempura and salads were soggy
The sushi was not fresh, the tempura and salads were soggy and we ultimately could not eat what we ordered because it tasted old or off. We spent a lot on a birthday dinner for some upset stomachs and an apathetic waitress. Will not be going back.
Be the first to ReplyGood but not excellent sushi and food.
Just a heads up, there is no published menu and they have no website. The photographed menus are old and out of date. Most of the sushi as well as other dishes are $1.50 - $3.00 more than what you see if this matters to you for take out.
Be the first to ReplyAverage.
No a/c, as many small eateries in Oakland. Saving energy vs comfort of dining. The weather in San Francisco cool, a/c isn't really necessary. Food is average as well. The neighborhood feels calm and neat but is there is a bullet at the store next door?
