Have to Dine at The Breakers While in Palm Beach!
We dined at The Italian Restaurant at The Breakers in March. Before having dinner, we had drinks at the waterfront bar and walked around the amazing, historic resort. While dining, we so loved the fresh bread, our Caesar salad and the pear salad. My husband devoured his chicken Parmesan and I did the same for my eggplant Parmesan. Highly, highly recommend! Service was terrific, too. Alex took the very best care (best service we had in Palm Beach) of us!!
Be the first to ReplyThe excess
We of course did not stay in this establishment but we went to see it. It was built 100 years ago and there was already the idea of excess. A multitude of lounges and reception rooms. Everything here is luxury and grandeur.
Be the first to ReplyOver priced convention hotel
Itโs just too large for me to want to return. We got two milkshakes at the pool and it was $50. The beach was nice but it is just too large to be a true luxury hotel. Also it took my son 10 min to spend $40 at the arcade. We paid over $2k a night and I think it is good hotel not a dollar over $700 a night.
Be the first to ReplyGreat couples retreat or family resort!
So far my first night was amazing. Every staff member is so nice and accommodating to make the stay special. I come to Palm beach once a year and stay at the four seasons. I have to tell you this Hotel and the staff is 1000% better. The valet, front desk, waiters all go above and beyond to make the stay extra special. If you are having a wedding, a couple retreat or traveling with small kids, nothing compares. I recommend this is my new dedicated spot when I come to Palm Beach! So many restaurants, shops and activities..
Be the first to ReplyBeautiful Historic Hotel
Stopped in to experience the history and grandeur of the Breakers. Gorgeous drive in lined by palm trees and lush landscaping. They do a quick check of your ID and parking on the right is free. Beautiful lobby and some history of the hotel displayed. The back or oceanside was uninspiring. For some reason the outside front fountain wasnโt working today.
Be the first to ReplyA Sumptuous Property
This is a gorgeous and historic property. The fresh flower arrangements are absolutely beautiful. Great shops! Valet Parking is $35 or you can spend $35 and it will be free. We saw a couple lovely restaurants, but we weren't allowed to eat at the pool one because we weren't guests at the hotel.
Be the first to ReplyWe loved this hotel!
We stayed just before Christmas week and I loved everything about this hotel. Sadly the weather was ATROCIOUS - that isnโt the hotels fault of course but it meant that we didnโt get to experience the pool areas (sob - seriously, we would have been blown away - haha) but we did spend more time using the rest of the facilities than we might otherwise have been. Some of the things we especially loved were: - the onsite golf course - in really good condition. We played in the pouring rain and they probably thought we were mad, but it was really well kept! - breakfast buffet - so much choice, beautiful setting - hotel Christmas decor - spectacular - lovely staff - fish bar restaurant (thatโs not its name but youโll know what I mean!) - ALL the hotel dining options. Reassuringly expensive :) Thanks for a great time!
Be the first to ReplyLovely place to visit
We were impressed that the hotel allows visitors to come just for a drink and had free parking. We really enjoyed walking around the hotel and then having a drink in the Seafood bar overlooking the water. I had read some negative reviews which put me off staying here but it did look lovely with a nice shopping and cafe area and staff were friendly.

This is truly a 5 star hotel. Been to many โso calledโ 5 star hotels only to be disappointed. The character and modern touchโs celebrate what defines a elegant resort. Itโs just a beautiful and stunning hotel. Service and staff are so polite and friendly. Thank you Breakers for not breaking our heart. !!!
Be the first to ReplyNo longer 5 Star treatment
Unfortunately if you actually stay on the property during the holidays like I did it is NOT a 5 star experience. They give no preference to their guests that stay on property and it has lost all of the โmagicโ of the holidays. We waited over an hour to be seated in a restaurant. The whole reason to stay on property was to accommodate my parents with limited mobility and not have to leave the hotel. When we were seated finally the service was subpar. We had to return undercooked meat 3 times. Well done meat is usually easy to accommodate. It does appear they accommodate instagram influencers who show up to take photos and not order food and share a single drink. We received no extra attention from being a guest. Now I know that everyone stays at a much less expensive hotel in town and just visits the hotel and restaurants. At $1800 a night you would think you would be treated so much better. They could not even accommodate adjoining rooms. I assumed the hotel was full only to learn there were empty rooms everywhere. Now that the magic is lost we will definitely not be returning again.

Oceanfront suite with daily service including turndown. Fridge stocked with sparkling and flat water. Luxe linens. Toiletries way above par. So many trips here and it feels like home. The fitness center is outstanding and overlooks the Atlantic. The only critique of the Breakers is that yoga is not offered and it used to be if memory serves? Breakfast is served in the Circle dining room or on the beach - which we choose after working out. Staff has been there for many years, and the food is consistent especially for buffet. There are many spots around the property to find solitude - in the early mornings I find coffee in the small market and sit near the front lawn for reading and writing. Restaurants on property - all good. There is a shuttle every 5 minutes to off property shopping/restaurants, as well Tesla house cars that are generally available. Finding a spot at the adult pool can be challenging but once found is above adequate. Palm trees shade areas - balancing between sun and shade throughout the day. This stately property continues to thrive and excel - all through Covid even - and is only a short ride from PBI airport terminals.
Be the first to ReplyThe Breakers Palm Beach DISAPPOINTING
Look. Weโve paid $3200 + fees + taxes per night for this hotel. I donโt want to sound snobby but when you pay as much you expect better. Room was nice but nothing really special, windows donโt really open so you canโt get that ocean breeze, the sheets were old and not well kept (see photo), doors of the bathroom were kinda destroyed (see photo) and shaving mirror was broken (see photo)โฆ again i am not snobby but when you pay so much you expect much betterโฆ at least in Europe i am not sure about the USAโฆ kinda disappointing
Be the first to ReplySeafood Bar was a show stopper
You have to experience the Seafood Bar. I won't give it away. Yes, everything is over-priced, but you get great service and great drinks. My wife had her best passion fruit dessert ever! Oysters $8 a piece is crazy too.
Be the first to ReplyAbsolutely stunning property!!!
We visited just before Xmas and the resort was decorated BEAUTIFULLY. It was magical. The Resort grounds are absolutely beautiful and there are so many gathering areas in which to sit and enjoy. Fantastic shops and restaurants. A place to see and be seen. Bring your nicest clothes and accessories!!
Be the first to ReplyOutstanding Service, Special Place
My wife have been at the Breakers for the last week We booked a suite in the Flagler Club, a small hotel within the larger hotel, on the 6th and 7th floors. While the suite is smaller than we prefer, the service both at the Flagler Club as well as the entire hotel has been superb. The Team in the โFlagler Club have been very accommodating especially organizing complimentary car service to the various restaurants we have eaten at. The complimentary food and liquor offerings during the day have been excellent. While the suite is somewhat small , the outside lounge area and the outdoor deck allows for more space. We ate at the Seafood Bar one night and it was excellent and drinks at HMF are always a fun night. Breakfast at the Pool restaurant is a wonderful Buffett (or a la cart) with great service. We generally try to get to Florida for a week each February and the Breakers continues to be an outstanding place to stay.
Be the first to ReplyBeautiful but crowded historic hotel in an excellent location with comfortable rooms and poor service.
This is a mixed review. The bedding is a positive standout (it is exceptional), and rooms are recently refurbished and with very modern amenities. The service is below standard of a five star hotel on all fronts (waiting in line to check-in, single-day housekeeping, general unresponsiveness to repeated requests). Some of the amenities (gym, for example) are excessively crowded, perhaps a consequences of a very large hotel (500+ rooms?) plus shared amenities with a club). Boutique hotel this is not. Lots of character and attention to detail throughout (real candles grace the lobby in the evening, very good (but way-too-large) chocolates await at turn-down service). No coffee maker in the room or provided at reception, and coffee at News & Gourmet is average (as is the overall food quality). The security around the compound is a bit off putting. The beach is excellent by Florida standards, but average in comparison to true world-class beaches. In short, very classic, good for meetings, accessible location, and will stay again if hosted. BUT, this is NOT a destination property by any means. Not worth the price.
Be the first to ReplyA Grand Dame that is the top tick!
Some rooms are redone with an Art Deco spin. Of course there are two golf courses, tennis club, beach, poolsโฆwhat do you really want? Actually, the best thing is the transparent bar with fish, eels, crustaceans swimming in the bar under your drink!!!!
Be the first to Replylegendary
this place is legendary and as such it is very well run and very expensive. but as the saying goes you get what you pay for. beach is great hotel rooms are period designed . food is expensive as you would expect
Be the first to ReplyLovely Stay
This resort exceeds luxury and beauty with a nostalgic twist. The hotel was impressively tidy and clean as well as lovely to the senses. The service was impeccable and worth it just to experience rest and relaxation.
Be the first to ReplyImpressive Hotel architecture
A great place to relax and enjoy go swimming in the ocean or in the pools. A refreshing place to end your vacation after visiting the theme parks. Itโs two hours drive from Orlando Florida. The hotel lobby and the main restaurant are stunningly Beautiful! It reminds me of the murals inside the Vatican and places in Italy. Ocean front view room is highly recommended to fully appreciate the hotel. A must visit place to stay before flying back to the Bay Area.
Be the first to ReplyLove The Breakers!
One of my favorite hotels In the South! This is my 6th or so visit. William Fry & Lake Meadows made our visit extra special as soon as we went to the front desk. What an incredibly friendly & dedicated staff. They made sure that everything from our Initial introduction to placing us in an incredible room with a view was their top priority. My original contact here was Jacob Sartain who was also fabulous. Love the staff & this hotel!!!! FYI: Regular in season pricing is absurd. For those prices, try London. Rome, or Paris!!
Be the first to ReplyUncomfortable vacation
We book a Delux room with partial view. The room does not meet my expectations. It was a room in the middle of the building apartment. We consulted the front desk and informed they do not have any room available. We paid for q room with partial room . However, she said hotel is fully book .I asked for a manager and no manager available to discuss this issue
Be the first to ReplySmall rooms, but so much to do onsite
For the price, the rooms are impossibly small - but the restaurants and service is hard to beat. Our favorite times to go are for special events - the Mother's Day Brunch is like nothing you've ever seen - seriously, a buffet that spans an entire ballroom complete with a caviar bar; and at Christmas, there is Dining with Santa, where he gives each child a small toy. Yes, it is expensive but the pools, beach, steakhouse, and Sunday brunch is unparalleled in Palm Beach. Frankly, I'd say it's a Top 3 Resort, statewide.
Be the first to ReplyStay elsewhere
Friends of mine were treated horribly by staff and management and when our concerns were addressed, we were told these allegations of racial discrimination were false and were blocked from their website and our phone calls are not answered or returned.
Be the first to ReplyExtremely overpriced and uncomfortable rooms.
From the photos, the Breakers looks like a beautiful place to stay in Palm Beach, but aside from the gorgeous architecture, this place has little else to offer. The food, drinks and the room are extremely overpriced. We have stayed in 5 star hotels all over the world, and have never been disappointed until now. The room: Our room was supposed to sleep 4, but the small beds and one pull out was hardly enough space to sleep 3. We also had a family with small children next door who kept us up at all hours. We asked to be moved many times, and they told us they were completely booked, so we got no sleep our entire stay. The beach: One can hardly call this a beach. Very little sand, very crowded, and 50% covered by seaweed. The food: We were in complete shock by the food prices. a casual lunch by the pool for two adults and two kids came out to $250. With no service. We decided to eat elsewhere the rest of the trip bc the mediocre food was so so expensive. Again, we have traveled extensively and have never seen anything like this. The pools: Very overcrowded, you have to fight for a place to sit, and the water was murky from how many people were in it. Not hygienic. The service: The service was ok, but no-one took us seriously when we asked repeatedly to be moved to another room bc we couldn't sleep. Free breakfast: The only plus on the entire stay. The breakfast buffet in the Circle Room was very good and came with the room
