The Cosmopolitan of Las Vegas Reviews from The Last Year
The Cosmo is beautiful inside, especially the chandelier
The Cosmo is beautiful inside, especially the chandelier bar. We were able to check in rather quickly but had to wait about a half hour to get our room keys. We had checked our bags with the bellhop/porter desk. Attempted to use the AI assistant to request bags be brought up, but after about an hour of waiting, we went and got our own bags. The person at the desk said that it was always best to come get them ourselves (and yes, we did tip when we dropped them off). There were two glasses that were dirty in the kitchen. The guest bathroom had a smell from the time we arrived until we left 4 nights later. Kept the fan on and didn't personally use it (our guests did use it). The wraparound terrace in the Boulevard Tower was great, tons of room and great views. We were able to listen to DJ's playing at the Day Club down below. Since we liked the music, it wasn't too loud. If it had been country music, not sure I could have tolerated it very long. The terrace doors were massively heavy (probably for sound and temperature) and difficult to open and close. We were happy we had an empty mini-fridge in addition to the Do Not Touch Or You'll Be Billed stocked fridge. The wine chiller was also nice but not very cold so used it for water bottles. As with all Vegas hotels, no coffee maker made us sad. And really wished we had a microwave because I always have leftovers when dining out. Shower was large (but very difficult to shave because no real ledge to put foot up on). Could use a squeegee in it to keep water from getting on the floor. The lack of a dresser was a challenge. There were only a few shelves in the closet, which didn't hold all our clothes. The hangers were weird and there were not enough. The biggest frustration occurred when we learned we couldn't take our marriage form to the Clerk's office on Fridays (married on Thursday evening). This form has to be filed in 10 days, and we were leaving on Sunday. We went to FedEx office in hotel and was told they can't mail to PO Box (which is what the Clerk's address was). Went to Concierge thinking an envelope and stamp wouldn't be hard to find....we were wrong. Concierge was not able to help. Called front desk from our room, they said go to FedEx...we explained that didn't work...they then said the Concierge should be able to help...then the line disconnected. So if a friend (not from Vegas) is marrying you, bring an envelope and stamp so you can mail the form before flying home. Mailboxes are hard to find, by the way (airport had one). We had room 2782 in the Boulevard Tower. Close to ice machine and elevators. No fountain view and could not see Sphere because floor level was too low. Overall, we enjoyed our stay. It was super expensive because it was EDC (a huge music festival). We are not sure if we would stay at the Cosmo again. The terrace is really nice but otherwise nothing particularly spectacular. Sorry this was so long. Hope it is helpful.
I loved this hotel but i have some feedbacks: Areas of
I loved this hotel but i have some feedbacks: Areas of improvement from our stay: -PET RELIEF: there are only 2 relief areas, one by the garage and the other at the pool area. VERY SMALL relief area and since it's under the sun for almost 12+ hrs it is so hot!! Please, open an umbrella or something so there is a little bit of coverage for their paws, my babies weren't able to potty at 11am, imagine that! - A/C: I understand it is hard to make everyone happy but our room was so hot, throughout the entire stay we woke up sweating and A/C was on "65" but damn if it wasn't even summer and it was that hot, pff mercy for those who stay in summer. - Food and Beverage credit HEADSUP: sadly when i checked in the receptionist didn't explain how this worked no he mentioned i had it on my reservation, i was just supposed to know? I could've saved more than 400$ in consumption from the moment i walked in! FYI if u make the reservation with this option you have 150$ to use every day at ALL RESTAURANTS, ROOM SERVICE, BARS. Check-In: As expected the hotel was busy, it was mother's day weekend. Line for about 10 minutes so we could get checked in. We were warmly welcomed, provided bottles of water and an amazing upgrade due to our first time here, mom's bday and mother's day weekend. Was really appreciated!! 9/10 Room: Wow, renovated, nice big room in Chelsea tower. Watched some videos of where to stay and definitely made the best decision. We had an amazing view to Bellagio fountains and part of the strip. Smart room that you can control with an ipad. Balcony was an amazing touch tho we didn't enjoy it much by will next time! 9/10 Restaurants inside of the hotel: There are a bunch of places and things to do in the hotel. There is not enough time!! Only will give feedback of Wicked Spoon (brunch inside of the hotel for good price and quality) they have everything available, the most diverse buffet I've seen. Room service was pfff incredible, we got breakfast scheduled for 10am and it arrived 9:59, warm and perfect. 9.5/10 Everybody at the hotel was very nice, we were able to enjoy Marquee, The Chandelier, Ghost Donkey and The Barbershop. Each of them had a different ambiance but well done for that entertainment. I hope i will be back.
Busy hotel.
Doesn't have super easy access to some of the other hotels on the strip. The decor is fun- interactive art on the columns and random dog statues. Plenty of places to eat and things to do. We were allowed to go up to the pool while we waited to check in and there were food, drinks, and changing areas there. Room itself was clean and spacious. Definitely get a cosmo at the Chandelier bar 2024 #24
Shout out to the incredible people who make the Cosmo first
Shout out to the incredible people who make the Cosmo first class! Marco at the Cashier desk and casino host Nick Danna! Today my water bottle exploded in my purse and a bunch of titos were a soggy wad. I panicked and went to the cashier desk thinking they could cash them. The first woman told me to dry them in the ladies room- I tried 2 ladies rooms and no dryers. So I went back and this time Marco helped me and he was awesome and manually input the titos and I got my soggy winnings in bills! Casino host Nick Danna reached out to me after my last trip. I've had a host off and on and nothing came of it. Nick went ahead and charged back my room service bill after my trip. So that was sweet! He's also offered tickets to shows and slot tournaments. People like this along with the drink gals make coming to the Cosmo a joy!
I loved my room.
We were at the 54 floor with view for the bellagio fountain and Eiffel Tower . Having jacuzzi with this view on the balcony and room service appetizers were an excellent combination. There is quite a lot of the nice bars and restaurants are located in the main area of the hotel but my favorite affairs was a chandler bar... but this is totally different review:) Definitely will be back . Thank you Cosmopolitan for the amazing experience I had !
This rating has to do with the parking at the resort.
It is terrible. I thought getting into the underground parking was difficult, but it was not even comparable on trying to get out of the parking garage. It was so much worse, and it took over 35 minutes to leave the garage. Only one lane to exit and they charge $40 for this horrible service.
Came to the Cosmopolitan Las Vegas for a late lunch.
Before that, I walked around to survey what was available. There are restaurants of course and Jose Andres has a significant presence here with two of them. They are China Poblano (see my separate review on this platform) and Jaleo. Many bars and lounges are also in attendance. If you desire to be blown away, go to The Chandelier Bar and Lounge. They say that the 65 foot Chandelier has around 2 million crystal beads, including 21 miles of swags, that drape the location. It is the main attraction, at the Cosmopolitan. The decor is nothing short of stunning (see my pictures). There is a lot to do and see here. If you have not already been here, pay the Cosmopolitan a visit.
One of the worst places to stay at in Vegas.
.. casino host Nick Danna sucked... does not know how to take care of his guests and the check in process was the worst. The lady at the check in gave us a handicap room and smell like someone had died in there. Would never recommend this place to anyone ever. They need to hire better employees that understand how to invite a guest and make sure to take care of the people they invite. Worst damn place I ever stayed at.... Nick Danna is all talk that's about it. If I was running this place there would be no room for people like him...
When you switch over to MGM, we won't be back.
We don't like MGM properties. It's a shame you all have to switch to that horrible property.
Good hotel but few issues, elevator/room cards wouldn't
Good hotel but few issues, elevator/room cards wouldn't work in elevators randomly, other people were having the same issue. Water for shower is either hot or cold without changing. It would go from one extreme to the other. Room smelled like weed when we got in there but they quickly sent someone to put a de-scenting/air out machine, which worked pretty well. I would stay here again but will definitely give other places a look

Lack of maintenance, hotel isn't that aged yet , but it's deteriorated badly. The beds are soft like 30 yrs old. Robes are severely worn and torn. See pic. House cleanings didn't do a good job , you have to call them to clean it. The texting number didn't respond to your needs.

This is our 5th time staying here and it's always a good time. Check in takes forever though. Food options in hotel are great!
Absolute trash.
Stayed in the upstairs huge suite with my friends for 2 nights. Upon check in they said our room wasn't ready. They made us wait 2 hours. Once we get to the room there was a giant bag of dirty towels next to the door. We get inside and the place was gross. Cigarette butts everywhere and literally male fluid on the outside couch. Had to call them up to ACTUALLY clean. Left for the night and when we got back; I shit you not, there was a swat team kicking in the door next to us. Next day I went to sit by the pool. You have to walk through the casino to get to the pool. I was wearing a bikini and forced to go upstairs and cover up. Unless you get to the pool at 7am, don't even think about getting a chair. The only redemption was the chandler bar
This place has really gone downhill since my last stay 5
This place has really gone downhill since my last stay 5 years ago. I regret staying here in 2024. My room was sticky and stained in spots. There was a bandaid on the wall in the shower. There was confusion about parking. The difference was $36. They refuse to work with me on it. It's really the principle. They come off as kind of desperate. Like it's dirty and rundown and they aren't about to credit you back $36 once they get it. There is no illusion of glamour at this place and that's the main thing Vegas is supposed to provide. Issue with parking - they explain at check in if you use your card key to exit / enter your parking will be charged to your room. But what they are doing is charging you a daily parking rate. So if you spend some of your trip at a friends hotel parking there you are still getting charged for parking here.
The sexiest hotel on the strip I was told and yes it was!

Security said I have two options to call police or report to lost and found HAHA They didn't even try to talk to housekeeper in front of me or anything. Hey @FluffyStar64, thanks for the question! When you place your bid the amount gets transferred in a deposit account, the second you either cancel your bid or a few minutes after the bid expires the funds are moved back into your main account from where you can refund it to your payment method or use for other transactions.

I have a similar question, it seems like when money is refunded it doesnt go immediately what is the process of this since its essentially a debit card and not a credit card
