Dropped in here for a couple of drinks on a cold, windy
Dropped in here for a couple of drinks on a cold, windy Sunday. We didn't have a reservation, but we were accommodated for a table of four upstairs. The Dead Rabbit red ale was a little funky for my palate, but my son and his friend enjoyed theirs. I had a couple of Guinnesses. The pours were perfect, properly rested with a half inch head of tan deliciousness on the top. The upstairs is cozy, but not overly tight and the service was attentive. Beers will run you $10/ea and mixed drinks will run a bit more. Next time we are in FiDi, we will get some food (the table next to us appeared to enjoy theirs) and I'll submit some pictures.
Be the first to ReplyA winner in my book.
Attentive wait staff, the addition of old movies on the wall, but I could go on and go how perfect the food is.

Ordered the Irish Rose and very refreshing. Was very dark inside and loud. Go early to find a seat, especially if you plan to eat there. I can tell this is very popular amongst Lower Manhattan residents.
Be the first to ReplyWowowowow.
Made reservations here for 6:30 on a Friday for the Parlor and the process of getting in and getting seated was seamless. Me and my boyfriend arrived a bit earlier but didn't have to wait to be seated. We were lucky and got spots at the bar and every drink we had was amazing. We also ordered the Scotch Egg to try but didn't really order much for food because we had dinner plans elsewhere for after. I cannot wait to come here again and also enjoy a full meal here. The service was great, the bartenders were friendly and attentive, and all the drinks were unique and flavorful, loved all the variety and I have no doubt this menu has something to cater to everyone's needs. I seriously cannot wait to come back and try all the other drinks on their menu.
Be the first to ReplyGreat casual cocktail spot.
I was able to jot some notes down on my recent visit over the weekend, I'll leave those below. Service was amazing and the bartender Corey was so kind and offered some nice chats about the space. He was the perfect amount of attentive and made some d*** good cocktails. Here are my in the moment thoughts on eat item: - Irish coffee: warm, not hot, the perfect drink for a cold winter's day. You can taste the whiskey but it's not a slap in the face. Very creamy. The Irish version of an espresso martini - Twilight zone cocktail: incredibly light for something with Guinness in it, light and slightly sour with a slight citrus aftertaste - Scotch egg: very flavorful and tender sausage, egg was cooked well, the yolk inbetween jammy and jelly, I wish there had been a bit more spice but this was coated perfectly and was lightly crispy on the outside - Corned beef sandwich: good, but definitely not Katz. I asked for spicy mustard in the side to add to the sandwich that definitely enhanced the flavor- definitely recommend this. Fries are thick, if that's your thing. Meat was a good quality but I almost wish that had been more of a 'chopped' version with the Gruyère cheese mixed throughout the meat to be incorporated better. A decent sandwich to pair with your alcohol but I don't think I'd make a special trip just for the Sammy I did have one more cocktail (the Irish coffee martini) and I remember it being good, but I preferred the Irish Coffee (the first drink I got). Overall, a really great spot in this area and will be adding to my favorites list for cocktails. 4.5/5

The Dead Rabbit has something for everyone and is a solid spot serving pub food and a variety of drinks. It was great to have the option to pick between beer, Irish Coffee cocktails, or cocktails. It felt busy and a little crowded but it also felt like there are various nooks your group could get settled into. Overall, it's a fun and lively atmosphere.
Be the first to ReplyThe Dead Rabbit is one of the best bars I've ever been to.
The food is awesome (go for the chicken pot pie), and the cocktails are unbelievable. I've never been disappointed with the service, and when I'm having trouble deciding on a cocktail, my servers have been able to help out based on what I like. The atmosphere rocks. Great music, sawdust on the floors, and a friendly crowd.
Be the first to ReplyFood was excellent.
We had short rib sliders, corned beef sliders, and fish and chips. All very fresh and great quality. Server was friendly and attentive.
Be the first to ReplyThis is a good place to always check out, .
I do love that they have a lot to choose from the cocktails, they are always changing and they're usually seasonal, with a large beer selection as well. Wish it was easier to sort through their cocktails. Just because it might take a few drinks to get to the one you like. Definitely a solid bar that deserves its recognition Hi Jack couldn't figure out how to get you the feedback - I think drink menu is overwhelming and it's easy to pick a cocktail that might not fit a specific persons palate. I would love to see a menu that separates sweeter cocktails/ boozy/ smoky/ spicy as well as how they are served. The cocktails are good I just might have to get through 3 to find the one that I like. I took out the food comment out as I have not tried the food lately. But heavy English style pub food- what was on the menu since I tried it last , I see you changed the menu. I will come back and try the food again. I've been here atleast 10 x. Don't get me wrong I love the bar. Would like to see it get even better.

A New York establishment, and for good reason! The drinks here are no joke. They're known for their Irish coffee, but honestly, I didn't try a single cocktail here that I wouldn't recommend! It definitely gets crowded during peak hours, and the space isn't the biggest. But it's well worth a visit for great drinks in a classic space!

Be the first to ReplyCame in for St.
Paddy's Day. I was there around 5:30, and there was already a short line. By the time I left, the line was done the block. The complimentary lamb stew was amazing. Perfectly carb loaded to go with the drinks, and they didn't skimp out on the lamb which was so tender. They had a limited menu on St. Paddy's Day, so most of the drinks I wanted to try weren't available. However, the Dead Rabbit red ale was amazing. It was a lighter beer which I preferred. The full Irish breakfast was hearty and greasy and went great with the beer.I would come back to try the other drinks and the food.
Be the first to ReplyStay away.
I love this place, their drinks, and the ambiance. But I want less of you keeping me out of there because of being so crowded. So take this as a warning, stay out. This my hood y'all.

Amazing Irish Coffees - price point could only be justified by the cream that goes on top. Fun environment.
Be the first to ReplySolid spot, but don't love the racist bouncers.
It's 2023 lads. Great vibe inside but don't love the entry policy.

Our party of four recently stopped in on a cold and rainy Saturday afternoon. It was quite busy but we were seated immediately. The service was friendly and attentive. Our party ordered potato soup, sandwiches and hamburgers for entrees and two dozen oysters to start. The Dead Rabbit Red Ale is a fantastic compliment to raw oyster! Intriguing artwork and photos and our 16 year old was fascinated by the sawdust on the floor. A great memory during our NYC visit. Thank you!

Such a great bar in FiDi , the food was very good , definitely try the beet salad and the crab cakes. The apple crumb dessert was also very good. They make a very delicious cocktail called the perfect lady Royal ... you must try it !
Be the first to ReplyVery fun colonial feeling pub in the financial district.
Was pretty busy but they found room for us. Mice selection. They actually had Harp's. Will definitely be back.

Dive bar experience. Staff is nice. Service is sick quick. Drinks are over price.

Best Irish Coffee I have ever had- and it was my husbands order. I tried a few other things and they were also good. Great stop after going to the Statue of Liberty. (We did the Staten Island Ferry- it was free and fast) then grabbed drinks at the Dead Rabbit

Came here late on a Friday night and really enjoyed the vibe. It has a cozy atmosphere and looks very vintage. Good music and strong cocktails which are a bit on the pricier side. Will definitely come back if I'm in the area.
Be the first to ReplyHistoric bar in a storied corner of FiDi.
The cocktails are excellent, they are especially known for their Irish coffee which is deliciously smooth with just the right amount of alcohol. Also enjoyed their old fashioned as well as their take on the Negroni. It is a bit on the expensive side and it can get quite crowded, but worth a try if you're in the area.

This is as authentic an Irish pub I've ever tried this side of the Atlantic! Whether you belly up to the (open-seating) bar, or snag a reservation for a table, you'll be greeted by welcoming staff. Near every patron we encountered this lazy Tuesday afternoon was from the Emerald Isle. The interior is dark and woody. Notably (and blessedly) the television is absent. The Irish coffee is grand. I have a few. I recommend the excellent Corned Beef sliders as well!My guy LOVED his tiramisu dessert, so creamy and smooth.
