Coming back!
Lovely spot. incredible food, atmosphere and service. We stayed at the Orange for two days and had a wonderful room, and had our most personal stay in London so far. Also love the area and neighborhood .
Be the first to ReplyGreat pizza and strong cocktails
We went as a family of 13 which was a bit of a challenge and we had to be separated on two tables. The pizzas that were ordered were delicious and some great strong cocktails! The service was very good. It was a bit pricey for what it was and not much option for kids. Iโd go back as my pizza was delicious!
Be the first to ReplyA visit to repeat as often as one is in London.
Accommodation and dinner were the best! Beautiful room of comfort and class. Great seafood stew and a delicious pizza. Staff are highly efficient and eager to assist, thanks you Jemaine!
Be the first to ReplySplendid place to eat and drink
Splendid place to eat. The food is really delicious. The meal is great as are the drinks. Very nice restaurant/bar/pub.
Be the first to ReplyLondon pub
This is a pleasant enough watering hole but not really memorable. It is in an expensive part of town so expect to pay. You can eat here also but I did not sample the food.
Be the first to ReplyGreat central location for a mini break
Great stay, staff were welcoming, attentive and went above and beyond. The room had everything we needed and despite a central location, was lovely and quiet
Be the first to ReplyBeautiful Pub! Perfect for any occasion
Great vibe and menu!! Such a warm, inviting and buzzy atmosphere - also loved the comfy booth seating! We had a wonderful time and the staff were super attentive, welcoming and knowledgeable. They have a few different spaces that would be perfect for all different vibes - a romantic meal, dinner with friends, private dining, casual drinks in the pub and a downstairs bar for group drinks - which has more of a cocktail bar style. It gets busy so you'll want to book ahead! I will definitely be returning soon and will be recommending The Orange to my friends & family ๐ Thank you!
Be the first to ReplyRestaurant is amazing!!!
Love this place. The elevated pub food is phenomenal. Everything tasted great. The restaurant is amazing!!! Will continue to return!
Be the first to ReplyNice dinner and drinks
Nice place for dinner and drinks. The food was delicious. Good selection of wines, beers and cocktails. The Orange is exceptional.
Be the first to ReplyPopped in for a drink on opening night
Just been refurbished and so popped in for a glass of wine on way home at approx 9.00 ish. Near empty bar and not many tables but decided to have a wine and then payed 14 quid for a Sauvignon Blanc! The drink was then disrupted by two obnoxious chaps swearing and laughing in the most annoying way, which meant a quick exit for us as there was nowhere else to move to. Wonโt be going again particularly as the bar man was not bothered about their behaviour . Who wants to continually hear the c word eh??
Be the first to ReplyOverpriced
Good atmosphere, goodish food, though not quite as stated on the menu, but absurdly overpriced. ยฃ60 per head for a shared starter and a main course with a glass and a half of wine. And 15% service charge
Be the first to ReplyGreat world cup drinks and dinner with friends!
4 of us booked dinner on World Cup 2022 quarter-finals night and had a great experience. The bar area is of course always rammed, but we still managed to find a standing spot for some pints before heading into the back for a proper dinner. The staff were lovely (despite our getting progressively more and more drunk on magnums of red as the night wore on) and I'm fairly sure we loved the food.

Having read some of the bad reviews here have to say our experience was the opposite. Booked table for family reunion for 10 of us and it was great. Good food-friendly staff and very helpful. Went for pizza menu as food menu was a bit pricey but I really liked our lunch.
Be the first to ReplyFawlty Towers
This is the worst Xmas lunch I have ever endured, with service for 4 courses taking nearly 4 hours, sub-standard food as well as the establishment thinking they can charge ยฃ150 per person. We arrived just after 12 and were sat in a room that ultimately would contain around 34 persons. Not too much of a challenge one might think but trust me our expectations were about to be dashed. Bringing out the bread for the table (with a couple of very nice vol-au-vents) took around 15 minutes. And then we waited for our starters, and waited. Whilst the starters were to an acceptable standard (albeit the parfait was undersalted) then the long wait began. It was not just us but the whole room. Eventually the main course arrived at around 2.45. Now I do not mind taking a long lunch but this was ridiculous. However, having flown half way around the world for a traditional Xmas lunch whilst in UK the quality of the food was worse than one can do at home. The turkey was not even carved from the bird, it was one of those roll things that is bought in supermarkets and had obviously been frozen as it was soo dry. Likewise the stuffing. The gravy was thin and watery and obviously not made with the cooking juice run-off. The roast potatoes were over par-boiled and under roasted. The Brussels had not been sliced at the base and as such the stems were underdone. I even had to ask the waiter for cranberry sauce (twice, so I ended up with 2 portions). The only redeeming feature was the quantity but the dryness of it all almost caused me to gag. We were not the only customers to suffer as we could see. One table walked out early after an exchange of words and myself and 2 others were resolved not to pay in full. We were given 50% discount although for another table they had the temerity to try to charge service on top. It was in fact a total catastrophe. That is even before I get onto the appalling service. There were 4 front of house but there were 2 guys who I will call โLaurel and Hardyโ who had obviously never done this before. When the coffee came and my wife asked for sugar I had to go to the servers to get him to bringโฆ.. and then did not even think to offer a teaspoon. When I asked them to remove a 4 foot cobweb hanging from the upper wall light they looked at me as if they did not know what I was talking about. My wife initially thought it was decoration but it was one of those days old cobwebs that had strung itself together and was wafting around in the breeze. After having tried to hurry along the deserts and coffee it was almost 4 hours before we left. This is honestly the worst Xmas dinner I have experienced in my life and they had the temerity to wish to charge ยฃ150 per head. I can cook better myself at home and am writing this from a Travelodge in Dagenham and the Xmas lunch much I have just seen being carried past looked infinitely better and is probably a fraction of the price. Do not go here
Be the first to ReplyDisappointed donโt bother
Really disappointed. Was giving this place a second chance after a bad experience previously. Wish I hadnโt bothered. Rude staff who made us feel very unwelcome/stupid. Used to recommend it to clients and colleagues as I work locally but I certainly wonโt again. Very short-sighted in this economic climate, and totally ruined our Christmas celebration.
Be the first to Reply3* but will go backโฆ
Great setting but one of the coldest days this winter and they struggled with heating - tricky in such extreme weather in an old building. Would have given 4* had the shift change floor staff not have been so rude. I appreciate its hard to get staff but she couldnโt have made it more clear she hated where she was, what she was doing and dealing with customers. Milly however had been super attentive up to said shift change.
Be the first to ReplyFreezing room and poor service, let down vs expectations
We came for dinner here with high expectations but felt let down by the service and standards. The room was freezing, we booked on a Friday evening and despite numerous people complaining and eating in coats, nothing was done. It get very much like trying to save money. When you are paying ยฃ36 for a main, you do not expect this. Our main course came out before we had finished our starters and the service was slow. Sadly, I will not be revisiting. It would be good to have a response on here as to why the heating throughout the building was not on and nothing was done when requested by numerous people.
Be the first to ReplyAbsolutely Superb, Great Room, High Standard Of Service
I highly recommend The Orange. My partner and I stayed there for one night and dined in their own restaurant on the first floor. It's simply a wonderful place to stay, chiefly because they are utterly committed to providing a very high standard of friendly, efficient service. Location: very good indeed, just a pleasant 10-12 minute stroll from Victoria and Belgravia. Rooms: absolutely superb. Our room was clean, quiet and supremely comfortable. All the decor, fixtures and fittings were of a very high standard. Restaurant: very enjoyable. A good menu catering for everyone, friendly and efficient service, pleasant ambience and good food prepared to a high standard. All in all, there's just nothing to fault and lots to praise and admire about The Orange.
Be the first to ReplyGood atmosphere
I was greeted by very friendly staff and seated quickly. The pub had a great atmosphere to it and felt very clean. The menu was ok however I was taken back by the prices. I was tempted by the lamb however the table next to me had it and I thought the portion size was a bit disappointing for ยฃ36. I think the communication between bar and front of house needs to be improved as my friend asked for 2 gins which the waitress had to come back to us twice to say they had ran out which was frustrating. My friend and I went for the burger in the end which was delicious! However they did mix up our chip order and gave us both rosemary fries when my friend asked for truffle fries. They were honest and said the kitchen got it wrong however they never offered to go back and fix it. It was nice but not worth returning.
Be the first to ReplySatisfactory food
Food was very good. Excellent salads and rib eyes. We had reserved a table. Initially they took us on a top floor with no heating and isolated. When we complained they took us on the ground floor. It was much better but rather noisy for a restaurant. Service was fast but some employees seemed not very clean smelling very bad. This destroyed the picture because food was very good
Be the first to ReplyExcellent food and service!
Had a wonderful meal! Such a friendly staff and everything delicious Would go back! Highly recommend
Be the first to ReplySteak not served at right temperature twice
I want to be as fair as I can and keep this as factual as I can. We received a warm welcome and found the dining room very pleasant. All went perfectly well at the starter stage. No complaints, and I was enjoying the evening with my friends. Then my steak was delivered, but my companions' pizzas were not. I don't like to start eating before my companions. I find that embarrassing. My friends urged me to start but by that time my steak was barely lukewarm. I was asked how my food was and said I was very disappointed it was not at the right temperature and that our food had not come together. The waitress was concerned and did take my meal back. I went to the cloakroom as much to calm myself as anything - I dislike complaining and readers of my reviews will see that this is extremely rare for me. The meals were then served together while I was gone - for no more than a minute. I found to my great astonishment that the second steak was at much the same temperature as the first - note this in spite of my former complaint. Note also that my French fries were still piping hot. Not wanting to ruin our evening I did eat the steak. The meat was of high quality and tender - no problem there - but I am afraid it is a fact that my enjoyment of my meal was spoilt by two things - the non-simultaneity of serving and the failure to address my complaint. The waiting staff and manager expressed concern that I was unhappy and it is fair to record that and that my steak was not charged for, which I suppose was something. However, we paid for some fine wine and the meal still cost me a great deal. While the staff said they hoped I would return and we parted on amicable terms, the overall impression I have is not good. I seriously pondered awarding the mark of 2, but the good starter and evident genuine concern of the junior waiting staff wins a notch up on that. I am at a loss to know why my experience was so poor. It is fair to record also that my companions enjoyed their food.
Be the first to ReplyLarge group lunch - superb food and attentive service
Simply excellent on all fronts. I arrived with a v heavy bag which i didn't really want to lug up two flights of stairs to our private room for lunch. The staff kindly took it off me and looked after it for me. Amazing quantity and quality of food served with panache and humour.
Be the first to ReplyDisappointing menu & expensive
Had to change order as the burger is not cooked to order! Only โwell doneโ - indicates to me that the provenance of the meat is not known orโฆโฆ.๐คท โ๏ธ V expensive pizza! 1 drink (albeit a double), ยฃ6 for mixers, ยฃ8 for some padron peppers (about ยฃ1 each), 1 glass of 175 cl red, I coffee, ยฃ45 a head. AVOID!
Be the first to ReplyAwful now - used to be good
The main problem to be honest was the staff - we later found out it has recently changed hands and the new staff are unfriendly and unwelcoming. The drinks were good as ever although do now take 15 minutes to order and the pizza was now strangely horrible. Number 11 is 30 seconds away and much much nicer - staff there are keen to give people and enjoyable night instead of make you feel like you are intruding! Make your own decision but would not recommend to my worst enemy nowadays sadly :(
