What an experience! Both the concierge at Hotel Du Lourve
What an experience! Both the concierge at Hotel Du Lourve and a passersby urged me to try The Peninsula while inquiring about Paris Cigar Lounges. After what they said I cancelled reservations elsewhere to try this venue with my husband. Just wow! We were welcomed by several staff with such friendly smiles. We had been told there was a minimum because we were not staying there today but we knew it would be worth it. The minimum applies to cigars, drinks, food etc. This location is a palace and you feel like a King and Queen in it! The entrance is absolutely beautiful and the entire hotel excludes elegance and excellence. The Cigar Bar itself was very spacious. Fabulous music in the back ground. Beautiful coffee table books. Swivel ashtrays attached to the chairs. Matches and crystal ashtrays. Just really fabulous! A huge thank you to Jel who took great care of us! Her service was phenomenal. She literally was anticipating our every need. We were so impressed! Jel you were FANTASTIC! The cigar lounge and hotel are a must visit in Paris- a terrific break from running around town and so close to one of the best streets to walk in Paris!

Wow! Such an elegant beautiful experience! We visited a few months ago and had cocktails at Le Bar Kleber, loved it so much. The space is lovely, the bartender amazingly talented, and the cocktails so delightful.
Be the first to ReplyVery nice hotel.
Use your do not disturb notice on your door whenever in the guest room. Service personnel barge in with no warning. Ring the bell and open door simultaneously. I was walked in on when not decent out of the shower. The service attendant saw me and continued to try to enter the room to deliver fruit, even in my state of undress. Basically had to close the door on her. The most unprofessional experience I have ever encountered in a 5 star hotel. The front desk could have cared less upon reporting this to them. I was angry and the gentleman was rude behind the desk! The bathrooms on the lobby level have cleaning personnel walking freely through the area while guests are in the bathroom, including cleaning personnel of the opposite gender cleaning restrooms while guests are present. Very disturbing The service personnel's apparent carte Blanche entry into a guests occupied room is a security problem. The training for these staff members has obviously been insufficient, cultural differences aside. Otherwise a magnificent hotel, great food, and wonderful concierge team. This episode was of sufficient concern, I felt warranted in warning fellow Peninsula travelers. We are regular Peninsula guests elsewhere, however this was so unacceptable, and abjectly unprofessional, it might cause us to use another fine hotel in Paris on our upcoming visits.Watch out for the bees at rooftop bar. They have honey bees on the roof to produce their own honey. Two members of our family were stung by bees up there, both of whom had unpleasant reactions from the bee stings, including Swelling, painful inflammation and discomfort, for days. While bees are very important, It is a curious hospitality phenomena putting guests in proximity to the bee hives! Some unsuspecting guest could be stung who has dangerous allergies to bee stings, and have anaphylactic shock. We were 3 rooms for 7 nights in the hotel.

I was absolutely memorized by the beauty of their outdoor seating arrangements!! It was entirely lit up by Christmas lights and gave it a magical vibe! My party and I decided to grab some drinks outside since they conveniently had heating lamps for each table. Service was impeccable, everything you would expect from a high end establishment. My friend and I each ordered a glass of rosรฉ while my bf got a beer. We had a great time chatting in what felt like such an intimate space (granted it was a little empty since it was on the chillier side)! The inside of the actual restaurant was also GORGEOUS! It felt like I walked into an elegant mansion as I made my way to the restrooms (which was also very grand). Chandeliers hung about every 10 feet of each other - man this is really the place to be! It is on the fancier side so I would be prepared to dish out some money if you plan on eating/drinking here. Overall this was a great place to stop by near the Arch! Would definitely recommend coming here for a little holiday festivity!

What a beautiful place to enjoy some drinks close to the Arch! My friends and I decided to make a spot here to grab some drinks in the evening. We were enticed by their outdoor area during the holiday season. They had tables set outside that had heaters and Christmas lights strewn across the plants outside, and as well on a make-shift ceiling outside. We went up to the greeter when we arrived and asked if it was ok if we could be seated outside for drinks. He said sure and allowed us to choose our own table. After about five minutes a server greeted us and asked us what we'd like from the menu. I ordered a 1664 while my two other friends went with a glass of wine. The space here is really cozy and well decorated! It's a good escape from the craziness of the Champs-Elysees and also is beautifully decorated inside as well. I'd be sure to wear something nice coming here as well. Doesn't seem like the type of place for jeans or too much of casual wear.

Not only is the hotel exceptional (beautiful room, wonderful restaurant, great neighborhood), but the service is second to none. I accidentally left a cell phone in an Uber while visiting France. Mael, the concierge, not only helped translate our discussions with the driver and arraigned for the phone to be delivered, but he also suggested a fantastic dinner location a km or so away while we waited. During dinner, someone from the Peninsula delivered my phone directly to my hands at the restaurant in an envelope with a very kind card from Mael wishing me a wonderful dinner and moment. I can't speak highly enough of his assistance. (Also, his recommended dinner was excellent!)

A sublime experience, all the way from check-in to departure. The service is first-rate, the rooms are beautifully designed and appointed, and all amenities are well thought out. The best part was the opportunity to borrow an electric bike, which facilitated an exhilarating tour around Paris, although one must be careful in this charmingly hectic city. A brief walk from the Eiffel Tower and Champs Elysee, the Peninsula is a delightful respite for the traveler.

Great place for a stay, drink, or dinner! One of my favorite places in town! The bar is just amazing, and they have the best cocktails. Highly recommended!
Be the first to ReplyWhen we arrived early Sunday morning we did not yet know
When we arrived early Sunday morning we did not yet know just how much we would love staying at this hotel. Of course, we were taken by its beauty both inside and out, but the stay impacted us in a way we hadn't anticipated.Immediately after stepping out of our car service we hired from the hotel, we were greeted by various members of the hotel staff - including the bell man, doormen, and wonderful Justine. She is tall and so quintessentially French she looked like she just came off the cover of Vogue. We appreciated her kindness from the beginning as she led us to our room, which had been ready for us despite our arrival at 8am. We discussed our plans for the trip and that I had taken French in high school and college, but that my partner did not understand the language too much. It was not until mid-week that we realized how attentive Justine was as she put balloons, cake, fruit, and a sweet gift in our suite! It was extremely thoughtful, and we loved her all the more for it!Our suite was gorgeous. I would be lying if I said I hadn't grown accustomed to it, especially with its heated bathroom tiles and toilet seat LOL. The whole room is smart, with app controls that can provide the most romantic lighting and even a spa mode for the bathtub. It was all pure bliss. Then, before we knew it, our time was up. We packed our bags and made our way to the lobby one last time, taking in the gorgeous smell of the roses that we loved experiencing every day. But the joke was on us! We ended up extending our trip a day due to some complications with our flight. The staff graciously set us up in another suite that evening despite the last minute notice with a discount for our troubles! When we arrived, Justine greeted us again, and we were overjoyed because we hadn't actually seen her since our first check-in. We thanked her for my partner's birthday presents, and then she asked if we would like brunch since our room was not yet ready - the Paris marathon happened that day, so it was expected, but we were excited for brunch as we had missed it the last Sunday! The Lobby (the restaurant) was packed with people, and they had no seats for us. But Justine was determined. She accommodated us with the restaurant's staff in a private room so that we could still have this phenomenal brunch. The rest of the day went by as fast as a train passes you by. Again, we made our way to the lobby - this time for the last time this trip - and thanked Justine for everything. Everyone at the hotel was extremely professional and caring. She noted that she had a surprise in the car for us - my favorite dessert of theirs, limon madeleines! Again, the attentiveness surpassed all expectations and hotel experiences. As we made our way around the corner in the car, we saw the entire staff waving to us. It was so touching - they made us feel like family. We cannot wait to visit them, and Paris, again.
