I tried to book a room hours after losing my mum to cancer. I was treated terribly- as if I was a prostitute. Being told ‘this isn’t the kind of hotel for you’ I have stayed in this hotel for my husbands birthday- which I told the receptionist- but still was treated disgusting. After being insulted- a small ‘security man’ placed his hands on me…. I have never been so insulted in all of my life- let alone at a most painful time in my life when all I was seeking was a place to stay where I was familiar with. Avoid this hotel if you want a human touch. This hotel is purely about money. Not people.

I went up there twice in 2013 and 2016, and it’s great for the view and the fact that the bar rotates 360 degrees. But when I wanted to go back 5 days ago, the police officer stationed at the bottom of the elevators, in the Mariott Marquis hotel, told me that it was currently closed….perhaps under renovation… Damage !

Unfortunately, it no longer works. Last night we went and found out that it stopped working in the pandemic. We do not know the reasons. The security people are the ones who must report the non-functioning...
Be the first to ReplyExtremely disappointing
Very disappointing. First of all it would be important to inform the clients that tables are maximum for 4 ppl. If you are more than four you will be separated if you want to enjoy the virtual show. Unacceptable especially if you are a family with kids because the family will be split. Secondly the level of service is very poor and the personnel is clearly non trained for a supposed high-level restaurant. During the waiting time for the preparation of the table, the personnel offers you a cocktail (nobody told us what it was, and I have assumed that it was a Spritz, but not sure! Nothing have been offered to our 3 kids) and some appetizers. They put everything on the desk at the entrance and don’t go through the various clients. Food quality is medium-high, but clearly no wow. Wine pairing is a nightmare. The wine chosen for every dish is simply horrible..Unacceptable for Europeans! Please allow clients to chose a bottle of wine or to pay more to have better quality. At last, we wait 10 minutes (!!!) in a queue to have the elevator and go out…we were waiting for a lady from the restaurant with a badge which allows to call the elevator. Crazy! Animation and virtual show was funny. At the end the price is too high for what you get. And giving a French sounding name to the restaurant will not improve the quality.
Be the first to ReplyA garbage without views
Horrible and very expensive, between all 380 dollars per person. It's not worth it, everything is overrated. It no longer spins and it is not what it was. Do not go. I WENT because I couldn't find a place at the River Cafè, much better than this garbage. There it is worth paying
Be the first to ReplyExtremely dissapointing
I went with my 18 year old daughter for her birthday. It was expenseice and disappointing. Service was good but zero atmosphere and food was average at best! Really disappointed as this was supposed to be a special night on a special trip for her. We had a better time at the (food, atmosphere and service) at the hard rock cafe down the road! Mel was $515 plus $100 tip!!!
Be the first to ReplyLe Petit Chef Experience
We went to the Le Petit Chef experience last night and we had an amazing time. It was fun and entertaining and the food was delicious! It was a four course meal with wine pairings. Here’s our thoughts about the food: First course - burrata is 9/10 for us. Burrata is very fresh as well as the tomatoes and berries. Caviar is al so very good. Took off a point because the caviar tasted a little lemony for us. Would have loved it with a hint of lemon but not too much lemon. Second course - lobster risotto is 9/10. The risotto was perfect. Lobster was veeery good. The cheese crisp - I could eat all day. Took off a point because again there was a heavy lemon taste somewhere in the dish. Main Entree - beef was 10/10. You don’t need a knife for the beef - it’s that tender! The mashed potato is super smooth. The juice is a little too rosemary-ey for us but it’s my personal taste. Dessert - was out of this world!! 10/100!!! Loved it and would come back for the dessert! We had Steven as our server and he was attentive and was on top of things. He made sure that pur experience is perfect. Antonio and Crystal are also wonderful. Both helped out during dinner and saw them both making sure that everyone’s needs are being met.

Service was good for Le Petit Chef pop up 'experience' at The Views Marriott Marquis, the view from the top floor is very nice, the food and wine were terrible, no redeeming factors at all. It is a set menu with no choice and wine pairing. The mini burger offered for the arrival cocktail was about the best of the entire meal. The starter of buratta, was dry and not creamy, the lobster risotto was downright awful and the lobster had a very strong taste, the main course of beef was another let down. Even the matcha chocolate desert was awful. The animation is interesting and fun for a bit, but that doesn't compensate nor justify a $500 price tag for 2 people, one who was underage so wasn't drinking. I didnt manage to finish one glass of wine, it was all resoundingly dreadful. Would not recommend.

Be the first to ReplyWorth the Price & the View!!
This restaurant was at the top of our list when traveling to New York City for the first time. The staff was very friendly and gave us directions how to get there without a problem. The restaurant is up top of the hotel and you have take the elevators and they specifically say “The View” that comes out at your destination which is pretty cool. The food is delicious and it’s a buffet style establishment so you pay the price of $42 and not including the drinks you recieve which is seprate. The full rotation of the restaurant takes one hour and a half to see all of New York. Very romantic dinner for you and your partner or can be for your family too.
