Tomoko Japanese Spa Beverly Hills Reviews from The Last Year
Like everyone else said this place is just not comparable
Like everyone else said this place is just not comparable to other places. Every single place I get a massage from, I get sore all over the next day. Well I'm writing this the following day and I'm still not sore. The other places know massaging techniques but they don't know how to massage. I feel rejuvenated and the pressure they applied was just right for both my wife and me. They haven't rolled our muscles once! I really hate it when other places do that because I get bruised and it feels horrible all day and the next few days. Once you go inside, you'll be entering a lounge area and we had tea and felt relaxed immediately. Then we were taken into the massage room and it felt like a private suite which was great because a room with just the massage bed feels like an operating room. The massage bed you lay on has a bit of elevated leg area and it's heated so it feels sooooo relaxing and nice even while you're laying on it. Then their knees and elbows come out to get rid of my pain and I'm just dead. Got stretched out as well and I never got stretched by a masseuse before but it felt great. I don't know why these guys aren't booked out for months but this place deserves to be. They are the only massage/spa place I would go to even though they are pricier than others. I would rather pay more for more than less for crap. And if you're the same, trust when I say that they are worth every friggin penny.
I've gotten a massage here the past 3 weekends in a row.
Arnont gives me the best massage I've ever had. He is very polite and makes sure I am having a good experience. They adjust the temperature of the bed as well as the room to your satisfaction. It's very easy to relax and I would definitely recommend. They also gave me 3 different types of tea throughout the night. I really liked the ginger honey
If I could give this place 100 stars I would! It's so good
If I could give this place 100 stars I would! It's so good it's actually hard to describe because there's really no analog out there. Go, enjoy, and repeat early and often. My therapist Yuma G. was remarkable, poetry and power in motion. Thanks Tomoko!!!
I'm hesitant to share this review because it contrasts
I'm hesitant to share this review because it contrasts sharply with the many positive experiences I've read about, making mine seem like an anomaly. Yet, it remains my honest experience. Recommended by friends in LA, I was excited to visit Tomoko, known as the go-to spot for massages. With a history of enjoying massages at high-end spas and five-star hotels, my expectations were high. Upon arrival, I was informed I had been booked for a 90-minute full-body massage. I had actually booked a 65-minute session with a foot soak, not realizing this was part of their 90-minute treatment, which includes a 15-minute foot massage. A significant language barrier complicated the correction of this misunderstanding, and it wasn't until I was in the massage room and consulted their website that I realized the mix-up. Attempts to resolve the issue took time out of my session, starting things off on an anxious note. The massage began well with an enjoyable foot soak. However, once on the table, I encountered a problem with the headrest. It was unstable, causing discomfort as my cheek pressed against a metal bar. Despite my masseuse's attempts to fix it, the issue persisted, leading to significant discomfort. Eventually, a solution involving a folded towel and later a pillow provided some relief, though not ideal. The rest of the massage passed without relaxation, marred by the initial discomfort. Post-massage, I had less time than expected to shower and encountered further issues, including missing slippers, a malfunctioning rain shower, and a cold towel from an unheated warmer. Despite bringing these concerns to the attention of the front desk and receiving a 10% discount, the gesture hardly compensated for the discomfort and the impact on my experience at what is considered a luxury spa. The resulting physical discomfort and bruising were disheartening, especially given the anticipation and cost of the visit. While I acknowledge this experience might not reflect the norm given the spa's rave reviews, it was a deeply disappointing encounter that fell short of the high expectations set by both reputation and price.
My goodness, I do not know where to start but anyone
My goodness, I do not know where to start but anyone looking into this place, PLEASE GO!!! I barely mentioned about it being my birthday and they went through so much to celebrate my birthday with a matcha cheesecake and rose petals with signs of "happy birthday" and it made me feel so special! I would highly recommend the Japanese Experience if youre a couple or friends wanting to celebrate an occasion because it is 100% worth the money. The service is top tier, the ambience is impeccable, and whenever I come back to LA, this is the first place Im going back to! Everyone there are incredibly friendly and I honestly didnt want to leave! If i could I would give them 10 stars!!!

What an amaaaazing experience! Someone gifted me a 90 minute massage here and oh what a treat! I had never been to Japanese spa before and it's quite the experience. It's pure luxury from the moment you walk in the door and with every little attention to detail. They start with tea and a foot massage .... huge spa room to yourself and a highly trained and skilled masseuse. The service is exceptional - the best of the best. Pricy, even for Beverly Hills but I will definitely go back!
A truly luxurious experience.
I booked the Tomoko massage as a little treat for myself a little while back. It was the most relaxing massage I've ever had with excellent service from the moment you step into the building. I had a sore shoulder at the time, and my masseuse expertly adjusted the massage to be lighter on that side. I felt so refreshed after the experience, definitely worth the occasional splurge!

Wow! If you're looking to celebrate a special occasion or simply indulge in a spa day, this place is worth it. It's $$$$ but honestly I had zero qualms about spending this money. The service and treatments are unparalleled.

If you want to relax in a few hours and recharge your energy, this is your place. We had a great time, thank you very much for the high-quality hospitality. We'll be back!
Best massage I've gotten in a really long time.
From the soaking of the feet to the kneading, stretching and pulling. Perfect! Came out feeling zen. The tea and treats after the massage were so good too.
The service was very friendly and you are made to feel like
The service was very friendly and you are made to feel like a boss. The ambiance is very nice and relaxing. It's definitely very romantic to bring your significant other. Unfortunately, my massage was really mediocre at best. I've had better massages at the hole in the wall massage parlors. My wife was happy with hers. The bath is relaxing but the plumbing is really loud and it's hard to relax when someone else is running the water. Overall it's really nice for special occasions, birthdays, anniversaries etc. But you're coming for the ambiance experience not the massage in my opinion.
My second time here and right away such a different
My second time here and right away such a different experience. My masseuse was Nana and she did an amazing job! It was exactly one hr of excellent massage. I think my first experience would have been excellent if it was NaNa. Definitely will be back with NaNa.

The name of the reservation should be on the listing that was transferred to your account when you purchased the reservation.
