Limited Menu
Inside the Doubletree. There might be four entrees to choose from on the dinner menu, and breakfast was limited as well. Biggest complaint is that in every other Hilton property on the planet breakfast ends at 10AM. Here it was 9:30, and by 9AM the buffet was picked over and not being replenished. I'd recommend eating elsewhere if you're staying at this hotel.
Be the first to ReplyEarl is the best!
We stayed half a block away and came across the bar during Happy Hour early on in the trip. Earl made the absolute BEST Mai Tai's and treated us like family. We were back several times over our week there. I will make sure any friends/family that visit Honolulu go for a visit to see Earl!
Be the first to ReplyVery basic buffet-style food place
To call this a restaurant would be wrong...this is a casual, food-court style, food place in the lobby. Cheap tables and plastic chairs with a serve yourself manner. They offer bread, limited fruit, oatmeal, greasy bacon and sausage, dry potatoes, and made-to-order omelettes/eggs. For a basic breakfast it’s fine...just don’t expect more.
Be the first to ReplyGood food and staff
Alex was great - very talkative and friendly. The food was quite good (fish & frites and shrimp w/ ride). No complaints on food or service. Good selection of beer and beverages. Lots of open space with nice views. The only downside was the acoustics. Hard walls, floor and ceiling allows sound to bounce and carry - further amplified by two guys sitting 15 feet apart carrying on a conversation that could be heard in the lobby. It was the fault of the establishment - and they guys weren’t being rude - just loud and unaware of their surroundings.
Be the first to ReplyEarl and Alona great bartenders
Hotel restaurant, food is average but bartenders are very engaging conversationalists. Not usually crowded so a good place to watch a major sports event.
Be the first to ReplyTrees restaurant
Good food average portions, friendly staff, reasonable prices and it's in the hotel. What's not to like about that.
Be the first to ReplyCozy Hotel Restaurant and Bar
As a hotel guest we had drinks and appetizers in the evening. The service and the menu was excellent and of course to drinks. We ordered the Ahi/Tako poke plate, fried appetizers, and Kalua Pig Nachos. Also ate here for the breakfast buffet which had a good variety for such a small venue. Excellent service from all the staff and will definitely visit here again.
Be the first to ReplyRude staff and terrible offerings
I am highly disappointed with their staff. Miss Colleen in particular ruined our breakfast and should be trained properly with what does breakfast menu entails. Their breakfast offering is not fresh either. It's not worth the price you pay for it.
Be the first to ReplyThe Doubletree bar, with prices and quality to match
They have some good beverages on tap, they overlook a nice park, but otherwise it lacks some character. It's a modest bar, off the modest 2nd floor lobby of the Doubletree - and that's got to be 99% of the clientele. The food is decidedly lackluster, but if you're there for a conversation and a beer, it's a reasonable casual venue. Bartender was awesome. Really great service.
Be the first to ReplyDinner Excellence!!
This restaurant is located within the Doubletree Inn and is EASY if you are staying there. If not and you are staying close by (I have; Illi Kai, Modern, Hilton Hawaiin Village) it should be on your list. Earl is a GEM and Alana is a peach. Great cocktails, fantastic beers and good food.
