Delicious Thai!
We stopped in Gainesville on our way home. We stayed downtown and we were craving fried rice. We stumbled upon Tup Tim Thai and are glad we did! Very friendly and quick service. I got the Pad Thai and spring rolls….very delicious and good size portion. My daughter got the Chicken Hibachi and said it was “munchalicious” I would definitely recommend this restaurant!
Be the first to ReplyGood place for lunch
I had the Panang Curry Shrimp. One of my colleagues had the green curry, and another had some noodle dish. Each of us enjoyed our lunch. The wait staff was accommodating and attentive.

We had lunch with a Native Thai. The staff speaks Thai and cooks traditional type meals. Everyone middle was quite pleasant enjoyable.
Be the first to ReplyGood Thai and Sushi
They truly have an amazing menu. Started with papaya salad, which was a huge dish, shareable by all, but with little flavor. The Drunken Noodles were outstanding! The red curry I ordered as “Thai Hot” was so mild there was barely any heat at all, which was a disappointment, but the flavor was pretty good. As for the sushi, the Black Dragon Roll and Lobster Tromidor Roll were both excellent. The service was not overly warm but they were very attentive, filling our water glasses about a hundred times and always looking our way to see if we were OK. A little inconsistent, but a good experience, overall, and I would like to return in the future.

Our chicken dumplings were cold and chicken raw inside. Penang chicken was just ok, rice was cold and hard. The service was super slow. The waitress spilled ice cold water on our niece. I wouldn’t return.
Be the first to ReplyNice staff but "meh" food.
Nice staff but "meh" food. Pad Thai noodles stuck together in a blob, we paid extra for mixed veggies... waste of money as veggies were bad: the broccoli was overcooked, but green peppers were almost raw (1 star rating). Red curry was flavorful, rice was only okay (3 star rating). Eel sushi roll was not very nice, it was hard to finish and certainly was not worth $5 (2 star rating). Very expensive for quality received, we gave 2 stars overall as the staff were very nice (staff = 5 stars!). I am glad we only ordered a few items, we had looked forward to eating food from here based on other reviews and were quite disappointed. We will eat Thai and sushi elsewhere in future, sorry.

Be the first to ReplyGreat Tai food and place practices CDC guidelines
My family stopped here for dinner and the food here was great. Service was prompt and food cook to order. They even practiced social distancing (every other table) as well as everyone must wear a mask to get in or no service. Definitely will try this place again when back in town.
Be the first to ReplyFast delivery, great Thai food, happy family
Third delivery and I have to leave a review. It's been excellent every time. Authentic flavors, actual heat if you order spicy, and fastest delivery in town (faster than pizza, which we will not be ordering any more of since we have Tup Tim). Family of four has lunch leftovers after an order of pad thai, green curry, shrimp tempura, and Tup Tim rolls. Granted, two of the four are under 10, but I think the fact that all have full bellies (and liked dinner) is a statement in and of itself. Medium spicy is good and spicy. Hot is more than I can handle without a lot of rice (I like spicy food). Mild was spicier than the 6yo would eat, but... 6 years old... orange juice is too much some days ;) anyway, green curry was so good I poured the sauce on everything else. Pad thai was excellent. Tofu and meats were all cooked perfectly. And those Tup Tim rolls, yummy! (Mushroom powder for the umami win!) 60 bucks, with a 20% tip (cause you should). I didn't have to cook AND my family ate well. You should too.
Be the first to ReplyExcellent Thai place!
The service, food, and value here were all top-notch! Three of us had entrees, a beer each, and an appetizer, for a total of $60 (without tip).
The food was as good as any Thai place I have ever been to. Highly recommended!
Fantastic new Thai restaurant near UF!
OK Gainesville, we all know that Thai restaurants here have been less than stellar. Some outright awful. So it was such a greta surprise to have dinner at Tup Tim Thai this evening. Hands down this was the best Thai restaurant experience I have had in Gainesville in over 27 years of living here. The new restaurant is conveniently located next to the Holiday Inn on the corner of University Ave. and 13th St. and has parking in the rear of the building. The service was wonderful and the food outstanding. I had excellent spring rolls (with crunchy vegetables inside), Thai iced tea (of course!), the best pad Thai I have had in a long time and for dessert their super sticky rice with mango. The prices are extremely reasonable and portions are gigantic. What a fantastic addition to Gainesville's foodie scene!
