Prepare for a long wait (at least 45-60 minutes) on Saturday night. It appears even more chaotic because the line for the boba shop next door is crazy as well. Three of us waited for about 1 hour before getting seated around 7:15PM.
Food:
*Spicy oxtail udon $16 - Solid udon noodle in a spicy, fatty oxtail broth. Both the oxtail and beef chasu were tender and yummy.
*Utsuke (Udon Tsukemen) dipping udon $13.5 - The beef and dashi broth was thick and very flavorful, perfect for dipping the udon.
*Chilled Shabu Shabu udon $13.5 - For the record, the person who ordered this had no idea what Shabu Shabu is. And even if he did, it is not the Shabu Shabu you are expecting. The only similarity is the thinly sliced beef. However, the soy milk dashi dipping broth was cold and tasted a little like wasabi to me. I usually eat Udon on a cold day, but this is definitely a dish for a hot day.
Service was good for how busy it was. We ordered a Caesar Salad that never came, the waiter offered a free salad on the house but we were too full at the end of the meal. If I'm craving good udon this winter, I'll be back!
