Be the first to ReplyI love it there, the food is very good.
I highly recommend the New York Steak and Las Vegas Roll

Came here to celebrate my husband's birthday and had a great time! It was my in-law's first time eating at a teppanyaki restaurant and they were happy with their experience. The restaurant is definitely no-frills when compared to a Benihana or other similarly themed chains. That's not a negative knock on it, just something to note if you take aesthetic into consideration. We came in right when the restaurant opened so we were seated right away. The servers welcomed us immediately and were quick to get us set up with our plates/chopsticks and got our orders. For an appetizer, my husband and I ordered a Wabi Sabi roll, which is a rice-less roll consisting of raw salmon, raw tuna, crab meat, and cucumber. Super refreshing! Additionally, all of our orders came with a soup or salad. I got the salad which was good but doused in miso dressing -- I had to scrape some off because it was overpowering the veggies. The best part of teppanyaki was the show! Our chef was very funny and told jokes throughout our whole experience. I ordered the salmon and shrimp which was well-seasoned and delicious. I can't speak for those coming for dinner but our lunch experience was great! Would recommend this place to others looking for a local teppanyaki experience.
Be the first to ReplyDescent food and atmosphere.
I been to several other teppan restaurants which I liked better. The fried rice was a disappointment but the sushi rolls were very good.

I still don't understand why there is no choice for zero stars. I will never be caught in this place again! Our reservation was for 8:00 pm. We weren't seated until 9:15 or so. Our chef didn't perform any show or do any type of tricks all he did was tell some jokes and when I asked for extra garlic butter he threw a huge scoop on my fried rice. It was a very exaggerated scoop so I took some off and put it on my plate. My friend also took a little for her rice. I let that one slide as I didn't want to cause a scene. We were all talking and laughing and all of a sudden the staff starts gathering around us just watching us eat. Staring and willing us to hurry up and finish our meals as it was already after 10:00 pm. When our bills were brought to us mine was incorrect I went to speak to the server about correcting it and then asked about the ice cream with the meal as we were celebrating a birthday. The online menu clearly states if you order a deluxe meal you get ice cream. I was told the ice cream wasn't available and was removed from the menu. When my bill came I noticed that the gratuity was automatically added. I called the server over and asked for it to be removed as I didn't think it was right to be charged for it because the service was not good and we were rushed through our meal. The server yelled no sir! and pointed at a small sign on the wall stating their is an automatic gratuity charged. First of all I'm a woman don't call me Sir. Second there is no need to yell at me. Third never ever again! Such a rude staff no entertainment, and they don't even give the Birthday person a Happy Birthday anything. What a waste of my money! There are better places to eat a good meal with a good experience and excellent friendly staff. This is not the place!

REVIEW YOUR RECEIPT BEFORE PAYING! These people are quick to charge us for another party's plate. Can't remember her name but she came back to our table to double check that we didn't order an extra plate and I explain to her that she might have charged us the other party's plate(which she did)... when realizing she messed up, the other party had already left from the restaurants.. so she came back with a new receipt taking off the extra plate but ended up charging us an automatic $30 dollar tip when it was only a party of 3 ... (mind you tip is automatically added when you have a party of 6 or more)I don't know if she was trying to be sneaky on trying to find a way to make us pay for the plate, so she wouldn't have to pay out of pocket for the mistake she made ... sorry but these people are very sneaky ...
Be the first to ReplyI came here yesterday with my family.
It was our first time here we have heard the place was similar to Bennihana but with a better price. So here we go, some of my family were not familiar with Tepaan, my server a lady in blue was very patient with all the questions I was really appreciate that. The service is nice they always asking about if we need anything or drinks .The food have pretty good portion taste are on point. Worth come back again!
Be the first to ReplyFun place for food with a "show".
The chefs grilling at the tables are great - friendly and funny, they make the experience. Been here twice. First time was a good experience so decided to go back for a special occasion. Second visit was for my parents 40th anniversary and asked the host if they do anything special to celebrate. The woman rudely said no like I was an idiot then went about her business dismissively. Luckily our chef was incredible so it made up for it. My dad got the filet mignon and was raving (he's not a foodie so for him to say he liked it several times means it was great). The chicken was bland, but everything else was tasty. I got the shrimp and scallops and they were 4 out of 5. You get a lot of food so even though it's a pricey meal, you'll have plenty of leftovers to enjoy. Reservations/WaitWe were a party of 5 that went at 4pm. I'd called earlier in the day about reservations for that time and was told none are needed and to just walk in. However, my parents got there first and were told if the other three of us weren't there within 2 minutes we wouldn't get a table. Luckily we got there and were seated. I assumed we were sitting with others and that's why it was a hurry, but we had a table to ourselves and the dining room wasn't even half full. Not sure what the deal was. When we left about an hour later there were a lot of people waiting so Saturday evenings are def busy.
Be the first to ReplyThings have changed a lot here over the past few years.
My family used to visit 1x month but due to service issues/food quality we have changed this to 1x year - if that. The wait staff used to be more friendly and easier to understand. We had a lot of communication issues the last time we were there. (Jan 2023) The chefs appear to have all changed - no familiar faces anymore. The chefs had no personality and only did the bare minimum. Our chef didn't even speak to us the last time we were there. The waitresses were very pushy and difficult to understand. We ordered the Ninja and a kids meal (shrimp). The food was smothered in butter and hardly seasoned. The shrimp was good - no issues. The chicken was undercooked and we had to put it to the side. The fried rice was okay but had a very strange taste to it - I'll eat anything but I couldn't get through it. Another thing to note was the chefs usually do a good job cleaning up their station but this one didn't scrape the grill and left oil and food everywhere - he did kinda clean it but it was the bare minimum. . The ambiance could also use an update. The inside is showing grease on the walls and fixtures. (Checkout how dirty the AC controls are right next to the front desk) the inside really needs an update and to get rid of the yellow lighting. Not sure why things have gone sideways here. It used to be one of my favorite places.
Be the first to ReplyWorst customer service ever.
Called to ask the wait time for two people and the lady told me she would tell me when I get there. Never going there again.
Be the first to ReplyWe had a large group for my wife's birthday.
All employees were extremely rude. Was a very uncomfortable atmosphere. We were rushed throughout our dinner. For the cost of the meal which was mediocre, a steakhouse would have probably been a better choice. We will not return to this establishment and will not recommend to anyone. One star rating is too high based on our experience.

I am very disappointed, angry and a little embarrassed, I brought my cousin to eat here because I absolutely love this spot and had never had an issue I spoke so highly about this spot to her to only disappoint her on her first time here , everything was going so good until my server and another serve both harassed us about a tip , I tipped the chef because he did a great job and the food was delicious but the waiter In front of all the people that where there stated that I had to leave her and everybody that served me a tip , it was the most embarrassing thing I have ever had to experience in public, now I'm glad that I didn't leave her a tip , when I called to speak to the manager I was put on "hold" but I was still able to hear them and the person who answered the phone told the waiters that the person with the party of 4 was calling and they told her to tell me that the manager was not going to be in today. This will probably be my last time ever coming to this place with such rude servers!! How much we tip a restaurant is optional not mandatory!!

They gave me the wrong roll and when i told them they said no this is the one i ordered which was not the case. All they were doing was staring and no one served me for a good ten minutes i had to get up and go ask for service. Would not recommend save your money go elsewhere

Giiiirrrlllll WHERE to begin?!?! I come here once a week, no kidding. This place is better (and cheaper) than Benihana's . My recommendation is to come for the lunch special which is SUUUUCH a good value!! It's beflre 3pm. Dinner is amazing though you'll get both soup and salad, bean sprouts and shrimp which the lunch doesn't include. The chefs and waitresses are always so friendly and lately they've been playing great music!! Lol . This spot is def one of my favorites ever!
Be the first to ReplyI should have known to stay away when I noticed this
I should have known to stay away when I noticed this place was quiet on a Saturday. We ate here to celebrate a birthday. This place has no atmosphere & the staff just stand around and stare at you. We felt uncomfortable & couldn't wait to leave. On top of that they refused to sing happy birthday due to Covid. I asked if they could sing from a distance they refused. A couple hours after eating here all of us had stomach cramps and upset stomach, and the next day too. Stay away!!!!
Be the first to ReplyThe taste is not that good, and the serving
The taste is not that good, and the serving size is not match food price. This is my frist time also is the last time to try. Not recommend.
Be the first to ReplyThis place used to be good.
They used to have fun and energetic chefs but now they're all boring and look miserable being there. They do not allow you to order a glass of water either anymore. They "only" have bottled water that you have to purchase for $1+tax. They also charge a mandatory 18% gratuity automatically to your bill. We always tip very well but that 18% "fee" pissed us off so we left no additional tip. The hostess/waitress stand directly behind you THE ENTIRE TIME you're at your table and just watch you. It was soo uncomfortable and the food wasn't even that great. Not like it used to be. We will not be returning unless they change their new "rules".
Be the first to ReplyPretty good.
Visited to celebrate a family birthday dinner.I ordered Halibut sashimi and Blue Fin Tuna nigiri and the salmon belly salad. The sushi selection was big. Fish was fresh--large portions. The next time I order halibut sashimi I will request without soy sauce--there was too much for my preference. I prefer yuzu or ponzu and sea salt on sushi with a dab of wasabi and a sliver of ginger. I requested a side of jalapeño which gave my sushi a kick. Fabulous customer service. Parking was hard. I would definitely return when in the area.
Be the first to ReplyUsed to be a great place with decent food and service.
Not so much anymore. Disappointing.
Be the first to ReplyThe food is amazing.
Such a welcoming environment, very friendly and attentive. Our cook was very funny and entertaining. Definitely a place worth trying.

Sat down quickly at a teppan table and was promptly greeted by a waitress who took our drink order and then food selections. I got the shrimp/scampi combo and it was both hot and reasonably priced with good portions. Comes with a salad, fried rice (extra $2.50), cooked vegetables and iced green tea. Pretty straightforward meal that hit the spot. They add in an 18% tip for parties of 5 or more. Parking is tough as this is a big shopping center with plenty of other restaurants nearby sharing the same parking lot.
Be the first to ReplyAll I gotta say is, place has gone downhill.
18% gratuity for 5 or more. That's illegal! You'll definitely be getting a visit by the better business bureau. Charge for water? That's ridiculous when no other restaurants do that. They are taking advantage of the public. Been coming here for over 14 years and all they care about is tips. One waitress mistook my bill for someone else that didn't tip on the credit card receipt and she asked if everything was ok? I asked what do you mean? She said, you didn't leave a tip. Did I do something wrong? But it was someone else's receipt she was looking at. I asked her, so you rather ask about a tip before anything? You didn't ask, how was your dinner, how was your dinning experience? She assumed no tip by other customer. But he paid cash for a tip. I couldn't believe it. They are fixated with tips not the service. It's just a very different atmosphere there. Not like before.
