Great consistency and value.
The presentation when you take out is lovely and the food is always delicious. Love both locations.
Be the first to ReplyDelicious! A bit pricey but so worth the expense.
I got the Cheese and a bowl for lunch the next day.

Great food. Large portions and reasonably priced. Came here for that Katsu and it is yummy & crunchy! This place does not disappoint. I will be back!
Be the first to ReplyNo ambiance, okay service.
But the food is really good. Classic Japanese style. The location on Olympic is a little difficult to find parking depending on day and time. Worth it.

Wasn't expecting much but it turned out to be a really nice find. Ramen broth was nice and spicy. Barley water was refreshing and the Donkasu was crispy and juicy! I will definitely come to this place next time I visit LA. 10/10 would recommend. Has underground parking which was only 5 dollars with a 75 cent card fee. Don't forget to validate your parking!

I'm a fan! A few Yelp Elite'ers that I follow wrote about this place, so I've been wanting to check it out. It was worth the drive from Pasadena and I will definitely be back! What I liked:- parking in the back! This area can get tricky with street parking, so the fact that it had a dedicated lot made it SO much easier to visit - service was friendly, respectful and fast! Everyone here was very friendly and we were seated right away- pork cutlet was DELICIOUS! Being Japanese, Im a bit picky with my tonkatsu, but this place was right on! The pork cutlet was tender, nicely crisp and flavorful- pork cutlet sandwich was good! Wish the bread was slightly warmer, but I still enjoyed it- you can ask for more sauce! What I wish differently:- sauce was a bit too sweet in my opinion, but not overly sweet. - I wish the combo came with white rice, but it comes with rice if you don't get the combo Price was acceptable, and well worth it.

Love that they serve barley tea and they give you a tiny mortar and pestle so you can grind your sesame seeds for the sauce. I order the chicken cutlet and pork cutlet and always notice that the chicken cutlet is twice as big as the pork. Portions are huge, the breading is light and crispy, and the meat inside is juicy. It comes with miso soup, a shredded cabbage salad with yummy dressing, radishes, jalapeños and white rice. The price has gotten more expensive but it's so worth it.

The tonkatsu is excellent! So crispy! The spicy ramen was delicious, the broth is so tasty! The shaved cabbage is really good too. I definitely would eat here again.
Be the first to ReplyPretty decent katsu in LA.
I got the combo which is really worth it, and the udon balances the katsu pretty well. I've had juicier katsu before though. The service was great and there is lot of seating inside
Be the first to ReplyChicken tonkatsu is decent but not the best.
I do like how the breading layer is thin and there is a lot of meat. I didn't really like the sauce tho. I wish there was another option for their dipping sauce. I prefer coco ichibanya for their tonkatsu. There is a free back parking lot which is nice in ktown.
