Yes I tried this place and loved the food and service.
The bill re is beautiful and good service. Took hubby here for his birthday- first time for both of us in December 2022. Recommended by my friend and we enjoyed ourselves.

Wild Ink exemplifies customer service! Our reservation was for five people, but when an additional two showed up, they were great to make alternative seating assignments so we would be comfortable. It was very obvious that our comfort was priority to them. Most of the tables are round-with seating like a booth or with chairs around them-very comfortable and great for groups. Our larger group sat at a rectangle table to give us more space. The food was beautifully presented and artistically created. Several folks ordered the chef's choice of sushi. I considered it, but opted for the chicken instead. When the sushi came out I was glad with my choice. I don't like the raw fish, which is what it all was. But it sure looked nice! One of my favorite things about this restaurant is the gender neutral bathrooms. They are lavish and clean, although the lighting was a little too dim for my taste. I'd like to be able to see myself in the mirror to freshen up a bit. This is a place I'd likely return to.

Made a late night, Saturday reservation for 9:30 for the sole purpose of enjoying their Peking duck everyone is raving about. We arrived about 10 minutes early, checked our coats at the reception and sat in the bar area to enjoy some drinks. Apparently, this establishment gets plenty of patrons just for this purpose. There is a DJ playing music, which gives is a clubby vibe, playing the music really loud. So if you want to have an intimate conversation, or any conversation, for that matter, it's not ideal. But if you want to just drink and check your iPhones, like everyone seems to be doing, this spot might work for you. And while taste in music is subjective, the DJ was clearly playing music HE likes and he didn't bother reading his audience. Completely oblivious. The drinks took a really long time to get. You get the impression they are short staffed, or not that organized. We were then seated for dinner about 15 minutes after our reservation. Unfortunately, the music in the main restaurant was still at club-level volume and it didn't help it wasn't great music, either. Again, please know your audience. This isn't about me, it's about everyone in the room. Our waitstaff was friendly and attentive. The Peking duck came our rather quickly. It was a nice touch when they brought the whole duck out to present it to us, before they carved it in the kitchen. The flavor was good, and it's served with thin scallion pancakes, tasty hoisin sauce and some greens with thinly sliced peppers. The skin on a Peking duck should be crispy, with the fat rendered into the duck. It's a process that takes a while. THis part completely missed the mark. There was absolutely nothing crispy, which was a big let-down. Tip:* if you like a clubby, can't really talk to each other, vibe, this might be a great spot for you, especially if you are already in Hudson yards. Check to see when their DJ is playing, before you go. It may be completely different with other DJ's or when they are not playing at all.* It's a bit off the beaten path, in that you don't just walk into the restaurant. It's on the 5th floor of the mall, so take the elevators off to the side.* If you like Peking duck, this is not the place to get it. Check out Red Farm or Decoy. Infinitely better. Just make sure to order the duck in advance.* They also have Dim Sum. I don't anything about how good it is, but might be worth checking out for this, if you don't mind it being overpriced, compared to the far less fancy places in Chinatown.Verdict: There are other spots in town with better Peking duck, so we will likely not return. If you live in the area and can just pop in, it might be worth checking out.

I ordered the golden chicken with fingerling potatoes and chickpea spring rolls. One of the best meals I've ever had! The espresso martinis were perfection and the ambiance was just right. Great music, fast service.
Be the first to ReplyI came here with a friend for dinner on a weekday.
This restaurant is located inside the Hudson Yards mall. We never heard of this place and kind of just looked up a random place to get dinneMy friend and I waited maybe 10 minutes for our table to be ready. We sat at the bar until our reservation was available. I must say the cocktails here were good. This is a very nice spot for a date as you get a stunning view of the vessel outside. The decor is very sleek and elegant. My friend and I were seated in our own booth with that was definitely big for just the two of us. I am not complaining but it was a great vibe. The food however is not quite up to par. We ordered the fried calamari, maine lobster hargow, scallop crudo, and an angus steak. All the food were just okay. The food itself mainly lacked in flavor and was otherwise bland. I think the best dish during this meal was the crudo. Overall: beautiful ambience and location, mediocre food.
Be the first to ReplyI'm a pretty big fan of this restaurant.
Great food, good service, quick delivery of food, a bit more on the expensive side but a great way to treat yourself on occasion. I really love their golden calamari, braised pork belly and their coconut milk based cocktail.Their Chinese New Year menu is always fantastic and very fun!
Be the first to ReplyThe food is delicious.
The environment is great. The mushroom bun looks exactly like a mushroom.

Was stuck between 4 and 5 because I save 5 for my favorites but I think a 5 is more fair. I really love how the restaurant overlooks the vessel...on top of a beautiful inside, you get to look over Hudson yards which was awesome. The service was really great. Our waiter was extremely attentive and all of the staff was really friendly. The food was all delicious--definitely was all super fresh. The snow crab roll was not anything special necessarily but there was nothing to complain about. The calamari was really perfectly tender and not rubbery. The lobster and prawn dim sum was pretty unique and definitely had a lot of fish in it. The dough was perfectly thin which to me made it perfect. The Thai tea creme brûlée was the one thing I will say I wasn't in love with but not because it wasn't made well. The crust was perfect--a thin sugar layer that cracked well and a creamy custard. However, I think I just prefer a traditional creme brûlée with vanilla. I kind of wish I got the strawberry yuzu short cake. But it was a unique dish and I enjoyed trying it. I'd love to come back and try more!

Great dim sum! Prices are steep but that's to be expected in the location. I'm sure the rent at this place is insane.
Be the first to ReplyThe service and dining environment are good.
I am a Chinese. I have to say that the Peking duck is tailored for US customers. Pancakes are not the traditional one used for Peking duck. The traditional scallions are not included either. I will recommend Chinatown or Flushing for authentic Peking duck with only half of the price.
Be the first to ReplyThe vessel, the Vessel, The Vessel.
... And again the Vessel, the food the food the food, excellent!!!! The attentiveness of everyone here makes me feel that #INY. I eat a rice bowl that was enormous, next time I will share it, oh yes! I am coming back for it. Even better? The dessert, the passion fruit cream puff, had some source of yougyrty flavor to die for. The Music made my day, don't known if it is everyday but today it made my day it was disco. I asked for a table on the window and Franklin made the magic, thanks!!
Be the first to ReplyCame here on a weekday night for a late birthday dinner.
Ordered the beet salad and short ribs. The short ribs were so deliciously tender, savored every bite. I also had some moscato which was very nice. Service was friendly, loved the views. Still thinking about their short ribs days after, will be back again and again. They brought a very delicious passion fruit dessert at the end.
Be the first to ReplyAbsolutely fantastic food.
Had the sweetest waiting staff and fastest service. The atmosphere was comfortable, classy, and perfect. The sizzling rice pot was to DIE FOR. I would travel FAR to eat it again. We will be going back, thank you so much!! * Mapo Tofu Dumplings* Crispy Calamari* Sizzling Rice Pot

Came here for a birthday brunch! The food was amazing - ifyou love trying different things on the menu and family style this place is for you! Although the portions are small for the price the quality and taste definitely make up for it. The stunning views and amazing wait staff are an added bonus!
Be the first to ReplyQuite a lovely place with amazing views.
I had passed by so many times last summer that I decided to wing it and went in. At first, I felt a bit uncomfortable with my attire but the staff assured me that there was no dress attire code, staff on bar was very accommodating.Definitely upscale and quite pricey. For appetizers, my brother who was vegan at the time went with the Foraged mushroom steamed buns, I went with the lemongrass chicken wings. We also went with the tater tots, these sadly, were anything but. Perhaps they were meant to be for kids when the come visit. The wings were finesse, it came with a bunch of sauces on the side which I think is pretty smart. The steamed buns were really pretty, my brother was impressed with the creativity when it came. Wilson, the bartender is amazing. Great personality and very skilled at bartending, and is type good looking. Do ask for him if you decide to visit! I'll consider this place as a great place for something fancy, a business meeting and/or some sort of event. I would definitely love to come back again and try out the full menu!
Be the first to ReplyCame back a third time for dinner, this time not during
Came back a third time for dinner, this time not during restaurant week. Yes it was pricey, but I really do love the food and cocktails here! Details below. Drinks: Love the cocktails here. Gold ink is still my favorite, followed by the ode to Camella (pink, gin-based drink) and then the soul of Tokyo, which was only okay (it had a bit too much foam). Also enjoyed the Maiko and Wild Ink when they first opened, but looks like they changed up the menu and don't offer them anymore. Didn't love the red wines here last time as they were a bit too bold and complex for my taste (see prior post) but maybe will try the whites next time. Food: We got the whole Peking duck for two again ($95). Still not loving the scallion pancakes it comes with (needs the thinner pancakes) but the duck was delicious (albeit not sliced thinly like it traditionally is so my parents would probably raise an eyebrow). We also got the tater tots and the Chinese broccoli, both of which were great (each $10).- We didn't get the soy glazed short rib, but the table next to us did and seemed to be having some sort of unreal magical experience with it. Will need to try it next time!Dessert: Didn't order any this time but see prior post - the Thai panna cotta offered during restaurant week was bomb but now seems to be missing from the regular menu. The passion fruit puff pastry is still not bad though. Service: Also good. They gave us a free passion fruit puff pastry for dessert since we were celebrating a birthday, which was really nice of them! The one complaint I have is that I won a free dim sum coupon in a Hudson Yards raffle and when I came to redeem it, they said they couldn't honor it because it was expired, even though there was no expiration date listed anywhere on the card. (It cannot have been more than a month old or so, since I came in March and won it at lunar new year.) And it's not like we were just coming in for dim sum - we ordered a whole Peking duck along with other food and drinks. Pretty disappointing, as it was one of the reasons we ended up choosing to come here over another place.
Be the first to ReplyA business meeting led to a business dinner at this yummy.
.. but pricey spot. The atmosphere is clean and modern, yet inviting. The noise level was fine, and conversation flowed with the help of numerous cocktails.Service was outstanding. He was there when anyone needed anything... but never hovered. The restaurant is in the Neiman Marcus building in Hudson Yards and certainly worth a visit if you find yourself in the area.
Be the first to ReplyThis review is just for snacks.
Stopped by for quick bites because we were feeling dimsum. I mean let's just say when you have shrimp toast in Beijing you will never find better elsewhere. These were just so rubbery and I didn't understand the yuzukosho sauce (maybe need the sweet chili instead?)- saved it for the tater tots (wish they at least used better quality frozen tots). Aside from the lobster hargow, mapo dumplings were salty af, prawn and bacon shiu mai was just another shiu mai.

Be the first to ReplyThe food is just average.
Wasn't blown away by anything. The plates are beautiful and the food looks better then it tastes. Looking around people were more concerned with taking selfies rather then eating. The staff was amazing though and service was on point. Just wished the flavors lived up to the looks.
