Excellent kosher foods - - all of their meat is high-quality. Service is attentive. I think that anyone who wants a kosher meal would be extremely happy at this venue
Be the first to ReplyWhat a great place for steaks and chops.
Service is 1st class, decor tasteful and meal was excellent.

You like great Kosher food? If you do, this place is for you. Southern fried pickles, spicy chicken pizza and the goto burger, lamb burger with cucumber & jalapeno relish remoulade. The food was great...stick to their strengths and order a burger...it's one of the best in the city. Ambience is New York eclectic and enjoy people watching as the crowd is local and entertaining. Service great as usual.
Be the first to ReplyI went to Wolf & Lamb for lunch with colleagues today.
I was looking forward to trying a new kosher restaurant. Unfortunately, this place is subpar. The server didn't know the menu, we struggled to get water, the staff never took our dirty plates away, even after we paid. There is a guaranteed gratuity so the servers have no incentive to try. I ordered the $52 tuna with rice and started with a $27 Caesar salad. The tuna and rice were bland and boring. Nobody at my table complained about their entrees, but most of the food at the table went uneaten. Mediocre food for a very high price. I am not sure how restaurants like this stay in business, given the number of good to great restaurants in midtown.

Happy with our dinner. Ambiance was very cozy and relax.

I had a very enjoyable meal here, albeit for a strange experience. Since the menu doesn't have cheese, I knew to pack some in my pocket. When my ribeye arrived, I began to unwrap my Kraft Single, only to have the waiter tear it from my hand. "No cheese!", he exclaimed. Will have to be more discreet next time.

The food here is tasty and satisfying (read: extremely unhealthy). The service and ambiance are okay; lunch is clearly geared to a corporate crowd. My only advice would be to avoid the gnocchi--while the dish is quite good, and the unusual baked gnocchi are delicious, the serving is on the smaller side, and this restaurant has some terrific and filling sandwiches.
Be the first to ReplySo, went to wolf and lamb this evening with 3 people.
My wife and 2 that were visiting from abroad. I'm really not sure why people speak highly of wolf and lamb. Now, before you go off on me about not speaking to the manager first, when you're out with people, most people don't like to make a stink. We got the fried pickles and the ribeye spring rolls (both were good). The dirty martini was a 1/5. Not chilled properly and too watery. Then things got worse, the 2 people we were out with were not religious and a filet mignon as labeled isn't a filet mignon. This should be clearly stated on the menu or call it a Delmonico cut. I got the $84 20oz cowboy rare. I get my steak and it's well done. I really hate to be that person but I sent it back because there's nothing worse than well done steak especially when you're paying $84 for a piece of meat. To be fair, they graciously accept it and send in another order. I asked the waiter whether I should change my order because of the thinness of the cut. He says no and it'll come out here. I took a pic of the steak that came because, apparently when one comes out well done the other needs to come out blue. The waiters also filled my glass that had sparkling water in it with still water. All for the cheap price of nearly $500. 1/5. Would not recommend

Terrible customer service, food quality very bad (wolf and lamb salad with chicken, burnt steak and the oily kale and mushroom side dish and sweet potato french fries). Terrible customer service because we came in for a friends birthday and it was mentioned in the booking reservation for the dinner occasion, we brought in the cake and the server advised us they will keep it in the fridge and will charge us $5 per person to cut the cake once served. We said fine and after the dinner, we asked them to bring the cake to celebrate our friend birthday, the server came to us and said, they can't serve the cake because the cake box doesn't have the kosher symbol and when we asked him why you didn't advise us that at the beginning, and he couldn't comment. We called for the manager and he said same thing. We asked for the bill, and they brought the bill and they added 18% gratuity fee (we were 4 people) and they refused to remove it because they said it is written on the menu they charge 18% gratuity fee and we should read the menu well. Really terrible experience and they ruined our friend birthday celebration and the whole evening. Never recommended this place to anyone for life !!!
Be the first to ReplyDo NOT go to this place unless you want Kosher.
Extremely unpleasant experience bc they wouldn't allow us to cut the cake. We give them the cake in the beginning and they should had mentioned to us before we sit down and eat, instead that after we ate and they will not allow us to cut the cake.
Be the first to ReplyHad a really good evening here w a good friend.
Walked in and had to wait a bit to be seated but able to get a table without a reservation which was nice. The scene in the restaurant is good - fairly Laid back for a steakhouse. We waited a while for our order for drinks and food to be taken but when we did order the food came out trainable quick. Overall the food was good but not overwhelming by any stretch. Ordered the Lamb meatballs and they were tasty. Ordered the ribeye burger medium rare and it was cooked well above that so a bit dry. The quality of the beef was good. The salad was fresh.
Be the first to ReplyGood meat restaurant.
It is very pricey and the Dacor is average. The service is good and friendly. The Ambiance is ok
Be the first to ReplyWish I could give a 2-1/2.
Nothing was bad, but little was good. My wife's steak was over cooked. The best part of her meal was the side salad. I had a salad for $46 as an entree. Nothing special, but for $46, I was hoping for more. Service was average. Atmosphere is fine. The short of it is with so many options in Manhattan, avoid this one. You WILL do better.

I came here recently for a business lunch and I was very surprised at how much I enjoyed my meal. I wasn't too sure what to expect to be honest as I've never been to a kosher restaurant before.I read a lot of reviews where people said the service here wasn't good so I was afraid of bad service. In fact, when I arrived, I had the opposite experience. Our server and another gentleman were so friendly and so helpful with our meal the entire time. It was really nice to experience that and the friendliness felt genuine rather than forced.Downstairs is a bit noisy and very busy at lunch. I recommend sitting upstairs since it's a bit less noisy, especially if you are on a business lunch. For appetizers we tried - rib eye spring rolls (very good and I recommend trying), fried pickles (these were okay, I've had better fried pickles elsewhere so I'd skip this since the fried part wasn't really attached to the pickle), spicy chicken pizza (this was a different take on pizza and this was good).Lamb Chops - this is what I got for my main course. I got this with the hand cut fries. I knew I wanted the hand cut fries when I saw it on the menu. I am french fry snob and I was really impressed with the fries! The fries here are the fries I like where you can really taste the potato. I love the saltiness and it was perfectly seasoned. I definitely recommend trying the fries here. As for my lamb chops, I got it medium. I was also really impressed with my lamb chops. The lamb chops weren't dry and had good bite to it. If you like lamb chops, I definitely recommend trying it.They also have Dr. Brown's soda here if you are a fan.Overall, I had a really good experience and lunch here. If you are looking for a kosher restaurant, this would be a good option. The only thing I didn't like were the prices. The dishes here are pretty pricy so I'd take that into consideration.

I came here for a kocher business lunch and got the branzino with salad and the chocolate Lava cake for dessert. The entree was good enough - pan roasted crispy skin, and there was sizable roasted beets and a mash to complement it even without the salad (you get to pick a side). The dessert was more disappointing though with the ice cream being icy - Le Marais does it much better for kosher chocolate cakes.
Be the first to ReplyAmazing food.
Some of the best steak that I have ever had. Would recommend the pizzas and the filet mignon steak. The service here is amazing and even though there is a small wait for the food, the quality of the food totally makes up for it.
Be the first to ReplyIt is not good for the price.
Quality less than you'd expect for the cost. Very crowded . Staff not very friendly. Too many other places you can go instead.
Be the first to ReplyBeen here a few times and it's hit or miss.
..Went in for lunch this time, the place deserted. No prob, I thought we'd be in and out for a quick lunch. The lamb meatballs were great but very pricey for 4-5 small meatballs. 30-35 min after the meatball app came the entrees. We ordered the cowboy steak & the lamb burger. Again the portion sizes were small. The lamb burger was meh at best, the steak was ok but COLD... We didn't finish either entree. My wife wouldn't let me complain as to not embarrass her. We left hungry and unsatisfied...

The pizzas are surprisingly great and reasonable (in comparison to other expensive glatt spots) . The burgers are also good . However the steak was highly disappointing and the wines were warm. I don't think this compares to tabernacle or reserve cut

We found this place from passing by after the Macy's Thanksgiving Parade so were grateful that it was open. Staff member saw us outside and said we could come straight in = good service. Could tell staff member who seated us was a bit 'urrrgh, they've got kids.' Yes, we have children and children get hungry like everyone else and if they don't go to restaurants then how do they learn to be a part of society? The restaurant had nice ambience and decor. Young gentlemen who waited on us our entire meal was friendly, helpful with the menu and excellent. We ordered beef sliders, fries and bolognaise for the kids to share which fed them easily. The most expensive bolognaise we've ever ordered, and whilst it was tasty, the family all voted my home cooked version better. Turns out you can get a bad steak in New York, my husband and I each ordered the 12oz rib eye $66. For that price I'm expecting my medium rare to be just that, not the same as the steak at the local RSL (nationality revealed). Over-done, fatty and can get a far superior cooked steak at my local bar and grill for considerably less.
Be the first to ReplyCame for a business lunch.
We needed a kosher place so this was it. I keep on hearing people mention this but it's actually my first time coming. Online booking didn't have space for seven people but calling got us the table. I got the short rib gnocchi, five got salads, one got a sandwich. It took an hour for food to arrive at our table. This is not acceptable for any lunch, let alone a business lunch. I almost wanted to walk up to a server to ask for status because no one was in sight for a long time. We joked that they must've made my gnocchi from scratch. Service was mediocre. No one really updated us when things took that long. Our water wasn't refilled frequently enough. They gave us the check soon after we got the food. I find that rude when they were the ones who took so long to get us the food. I wouldn't be offended if we were almost done eating. ย Purely based on food, I liked the flavor of my short rib gnocchi. The sweet potato was soft and sweet. The short rib was tender and juicy. The sauce was hearty too. I was afraid it'd be too heavy, but I didn't fall asleep after lunch so we good. Since this is my first time at a kosher restaurant, I want to comment that food didn't taste any different than how non-kosher places do to me. It's just good to know considering how I often see kosher folks get sad looking meals during events. I would still consider this restaurant when I have a kosher person in the group but I'm still annoyed by the service.
Be the first to ReplyOur delivery didn't contain all the items ordered and paid
Our delivery didn't contain all the items ordered and paid for. We called them. They made no excuses, but took action to rectify it immediately. They sent over - to the upper west side - the missing items and then some. We appreciate a business that wants our business and shows it through their actions. ย Excellent customer care.
Be the first to ReplyNever paid $29 for a hamburger.
..until now...For the record it's titled "Grass Fed Beef Burger" with lettuce, tomato, pickles, and spicy remoulade. Platter arrives impressively with a large hamburger bun which - you would think - would include an equally large beef burger. Not so as the patty was just about 1/2 the size of the bun. Taste wise the burger was fine but not special - the accompanying sweet potato fries - limp. Also ordered the "Spicy Pulled Barbecue Brisket" w/fries. The brisket was enjoyed...However - Never paid $36 for a BBQ Brisket Sandwich.....

Excellent penne bolognese topped with chives and toasted bread crumbs. Delicious and presented well.

I ordered a burger on uber eats and showed up 10 minutes after the restaurant said the order was ready. ย The waitress and the manager took another 20 minutes to bring out the burger. ย The manager who wasn't wearing a mask properly (and was prepping food) told me it wasn't my fault that the burger was delayed (not sure why it would have been my fault). ย I wish I would have read the other negative reviews before ordering.
