Wow wow wow, amazing dinner tonight, everything was perfect
Wow wow wow, amazing dinner tonight, everything was perfect and the service was immaculate, the fact that our server Rinor and all of the staff were working so hard on New Year's Eve says so much about how much they love this place. We're in town for NYE and from LA, we didn't know what we wanted but we knew we kind of wanted to share with each other, once we told Rinor he suggested all of our dishes and we totally went with it, the presentation was perfect, from the beginning they were absolutely on top of making us feel so special, the food was perfectly balanced and the portions were large and more then enough for all 5 of us, the steaks were delicious and perfectly prepared, the elegant ambiance was perfect and it ended up being one of the most memorable. We will definitely go back to this location next time we come to NYC, and we will definitely be visiting the Beverly Hills location when we are back in LA.
Be the first to ReplyReally great place for affordable quality food.
My mom and I went here prior to a 7pm show but needed to be at the theatre to meet someone at 6pm. So we just got all seafood--lobster bisque, which was not the best lobster bisque I've had, but it was very good. It did not have a cream base like they usually do, and had some interesting spices and herbs. The seafood appetizer sampler had very fresh lobster tail, jumbo shrimp and crab. The bread was also so good! We expected it to cost more than $80 for the two of us. You can pay more for far less in Manhattan. I read others noted how crowded it is. I'd recommend going either early like 5pm or after a show. I do love steak and will need to go back

I'll give them 5stars on the collective of a bunch of what I'll call 4-4.5 star night. Porterhouse for two was ordered medium rare. My friend is Brazilian and always get medium rare as I do. It was more to the medium side +. Creamed spinach was good. Sautéed mushrooms average. French fries well there French fries. We shared some baked clams that were good. Service was ok, they were working hard and it seemed overwhelmed at points. Ambiance was what I felt it should be for a midtown steakhouse. Would I go back.... Not 100% sure. But you never know do you.
Be the first to ReplyOverall, solid first experience visiting Wolfgang's.
The food was excellent and prepared as expected to seat a table of 6 for dinner. Our reservation was easy to make and seated on time. Our table enjoyed both a porterhouse and the tomahawk to share along with various sides. Only areas that didn't meet a 5-star expectation were the service and ambiance. It is an incredibly crowded restaurant, which gets very loud for fine dining standards, and you're going to struggle carrying simple conversation (especially if loud birthday chants happen on any particular night). The waitstaff don't necessarily share tables, so it takes some time to track down the appropriate POC to get you what we need. They mixed up our wine order, which is just a symptom of having so many people crammed into the dining area and so many tables to cater to.
Be the first to ReplyFood horrible.
My filet was charcoal burnt. Bread cold butter hard cold. Crab cake yummy. Dessert good.
Be the first to ReplyThe steak was amazing.
The porterhouse steak was well seasoned and aged to perfection. The portion was very large for three. It was enough for five. The sides are served family style and is enough for four. Service was amazing and was always there to take care of your needs. They recommend and advised when ordering. Friendly the entire time. The manager was also friendly and made sure you received the best dinner they served. I recommend this place whenever your in the area.
Be the first to Replythis was absolutely divine.
despite the torrential rain as i was walking drenching myself with rain. i asked for a towel or even a tablecloth to dry fof and the waiter provided it graciously. then the starter of raw littleneck clams were served ice cold, horseradish and spicy sauce. amazing. the beefsteak tomatoe and onions were amazing nd the waiter suggested the BBQ sauce which worked amazingly. the best part was the ribeye, served with a simple dry rub and cooked perfectly! served with side of onion rings, German potatoes and spinach were absolutely divine this dinner was accompanied by the best onion rolls filled with onions which brought me to my childhood. and they gave me 4 to take home, no charge. what restaurant anywhere does that the server Sarko is the man! request him and his colleagues are so generous and kind this was and will remain my choice for NY steakhouses. absolutely one of the finest steaks houses in my life and so happy to learn about this place Kudos!

Meh. Nothing terrible, but at this price point you would expect a little more interesting menu. 3 kinds of fish and 3 cuts of steak- all just grilled - maybe with some side mushrooms if you'd like. Really? This is a world famous chef? Staff was great, but I have no idea why someone would choose to come here with such a boring menu. Bread was served cold, mashed potatoes had a cafeteria quality and my tuna , while fresh and big, needed something to make it more interesting than just grilled - the only option for all the fish cuts. If this place has to compete for business on something other than location, they'd do us all a favor and go out of business so something more engaging could move in.

Skipped the steaks and sides and had a delicious salad with Tuna. Good option for midtown if you want a surefire experience. A little pricey, but that's the neighborhood.
Be the first to ReplyFood was good, but extremely overpriced for what we got.
Staff was nice enough but constantly overbearing and was very rushy. I should've gotten sushi from nextdoor.

My bf and I had dinner here on Valentine's Day, the staff welcomed us and gave us a rose. The waiters were also fast, efficient, gave us great drink recommendations, and all worked very well to bring our food. They even cut up our steak, and plated on our sides. I sure def like a princess! The steak was well cooked. However I expected more with the Brussels sprouts and mash potatoes. Personally wouldn't spend on sides, they were over priced for what seemed to be nothing special. The ambiance was nice!
Be the first to ReplyBeyond overrated.
Bland sides. Ridiculous prices. Name does not translate to quality.

I would have given it three stars, but they canceled my reservation on Open Table so I wouldn't be able to review them. We got there and it was nice to start, but that's where jt ended. We ordered 2 steaks and a bunch of sides. I ordered medium rare and mine came out medium. My friend ordered a medium porthouse and it came out almost raw. She sent it back and it came back almost the same. After the second time she lost her appetite. I told them mine wasn't medium rare and they just said nothing. We got 4 sides and they just put them on our plate without asking. We each got a different side for a reason and they didn't put any sides on mine. At that point we were over it. The price is way too high to have so many mistakes. The quality of the steak wasn't the greatest either and I'm a huge steak person. I wouldn't recommend Wolfgangs. You'd be better off with a chain like Capital Grille.

Wow where do I begin? The food is delicious, from appetizers to the steak to the sides, everything was immaculate. Service was amazing, very attentive and friendly staff. Definitely returning!
Be the first to ReplyGreat place to visit with a group of friends.
We sat at the bar area and the place was packed. Very loud, hard to have a conversation. The service was amazing, quick on drinks and food orders. The waiter was attentive. The gin martini with blue cheese stuffed olives is amazing! We ordered the tuna tartare, truffle fries, creamed spinach, fried calamari. Everything was prefect. Fried calamari was so tasty, tender and good portion. The tuna tartare was good but pricey for the portion they serve. I definitely recommend if you are in mid-town and looking for a place to meet with friends.

Food was excellent, the service was mediocre and the wines were very pricey. But there was a steak atmosphere and enjoyed the business.
Be the first to ReplyMade a reservation through Opentable for 5:30pm today.
We were greeted warmly and sat down at our table. Salem was our server. He was very attentive. We ordered crab cake, and bacon for appetizers. For main dish we got porterhouse for 2, and my son got filet mignon. My daughter had plain mac and cheese. All food were piping hot and extremely tasty. Our steak was so tender and flavorful. My daughter said her mac and cheese was one of the best she had ever eaten.Overall very happy with the experience. It is not cheap of course, but we think it is worth the money.
Be the first to ReplyIf what you want is basically an adult version of Chuck E.
Cheese and you have a giant wad of cash burning a hole in your pocket, by all means, come here and be treated like a toddler while you have your pocket picked. This is a real authentic tourist joint. In from Jersey for a drunken night with the girls? This is your place! A server inhabiting one of the deeper circles of hell will come by your table to sing happy birthday every ten minutes. My colleagues and I got lazy looking for dinner in midtown and landed here, were willing to overlook the fundamental insult of the place. Then, just as we were finishing up, ready never to return, a guy at the next table had a seizure. It was then we got to witness the next-level lack of care exhibited by staff with zero safety training, who clearly already regarded their work as a form of punishment. Management and staff showed no leadership in the moment, leaving guests to call for an ambulance, ask if there was a doctor, run out into the street looking for help, and grab tablecloths to put under the head of the seizing guest. Servers had no idea how to respond--no one at the restaurant was trained to intervene, offer advice, or even settle down and reassure other patrons. Instead, servers repeatedly poured bottles of water over the head of the impacted person, even as a person at our table advised them not to. At one point, I had to tell the seizing guest's companions not to try to reseat him, but to leave him lying down which was safer in his unstable condition. The staff said nothing. Most incredibly, servers continued to sing happy birthday at tables while the guest lay convulsing in the middle of the modestly sized dining room! I am not kidding, not exaggerating. After a long interval, an ambulance arrived and the person who'd had the seizure was looked at and advised by medical professionals. A dude came out to mop up the water, drool, and blood. And then our server brought the check: the excruciating moment when we were told the house would comp our after-dinner tea, "for our trouble." I can't even. The painful inadequacy of this response, after we'd all shared in this traumatic experience. No acknowledgment of our common humanity, no shame for the inadequate response, the shuffling indecency of calculating that event as equivalent to the price of a cup of tea. I'm mortified for everyone involved. To be fair, the food was fine. High quality ingredients, decently if not perfectly prepared. The place was clean, well lit, and comfortably appointed. As for the rest of this hot mess, note that I very rarely leave negative reviews. The food business is tough, servers have a difficult, low-paying job, and anyone can have an off night, so I don't make a habit of hating, but ... this is an instance where low quality is clearly a way of life.
Be the first to ReplyCozy dining experience at the bar.
Friendly staff and well-prepared steaks and appetizers. Can't wait to go back!
Be the first to ReplyDidn't have too much time before a show at MSG.
The front staff was more than accommodating. They suggested a regular table and waiter who would get us in and out. Instead we chose the bar. The bartenders were busy with the suits and tourists. My wife and I classify ourselves as both. I love the other Wolfgang's Steakhouses - Tribeca and Park Ave. We ordered drinks, steaks and sides. It's the same perfection from what I remember at the other two places. Thank you! With so many places to choose, we chose the best for the one hour that we had! To the bartenders, the drinks were good, conversations short/sweet, and the overall experience - the best - and what was needed after a hard long day!
