it was my first time there and the food came out so late.
They brought my dates food out first and then mine 40 minutes later. For how much we paid they forgot a lot of things. Personally I wouldn't go back
Be the first to ReplyThe absolute worst experience I have ever had at a
The absolute worst experience I have ever had at a restaurant. I want to preface this by saying I have worked in the restaurant industry for 15 years and have a true patience and understanding around the business, however this experience was so upsetting that it warrants my first ever complaint. A group of 5 girlfriends and I booked a table on a Friday night for a birthday celebration. We had never been to Ysabel and were very excited, as we had heard good things. Upon arrival, the restaurant was beautiful and definitely had a fun vibe. Our reservation was at 8, I checked in, and off the bat the hosts were not the friendliest (not rude but not welcoming), and let me know that the table would be ready soon and the rest of the party needed to he present to be sat. No problem. The rest of the part arrived at 8:10 and because they were a bit late we were understanding to the fact that our table wasn't ready. Around 8:30 we inquired about the table and they pointed to a dirty table, saying that it would be ours after it was set. Great news. However, it took another 10 minutes for that to happen, as it seemed that there were not many workers around and the ones present didn't move with much urgency. After several minutes we were greeted by our server and we did in a polite way let her know we were a little bummed about how long it took to get sat and would love to order drinks right away. No apology nor care from the server, but we were able to order drinks and food right away so we were hopeful to turn the experience around. The first round of drinks took over 20 minutes to arrive so we immediately ordered a second round in anticipation. Food started arriving shortly after in a staggered matter which we didn't mind, however there were no serving utensils and no server in sight. Not a huge deal, we used our personal utensils and enjoyed our apps. The one thing I will say, is that the food was great. Very enjoyable, and to my knowledge, the only reason anyone would ever come back. After another half hour or so without seeing our server, we ordered our dinner entrees. The timing of everything was incredibly slow and we were trying to be patient but it began feeling a little ridiculous. We ordered family style, but our entrees showed up and completely different times. One pasta here....another 10 minutes a steak....another 10 minutes another pasta dish. It was very odd especially because there were 6 pf us so sharing one dish at a time meant a tiny bite for each. Our table was full pf dirty dishes. No one offered new plates or silverware and the dishes came out again with no serving utensils...not even a steak knife for our steak. We pulled aside a busser to ask for serving utensils but gave up on that dream after several minutes. After all of our entrees were completely eaten our server comes by with serving utensils, "did you ask for utensils?". At this point it was past 10 and we were growing impatient, as we had post dinner plans for our birthday celebration. Our server asks if we want a dessert menu. We say yes. She comes back 15 minutes later asking what we would like without ever having brought the menu. Our table is FULL of dirty dishes. We end up stacking them in a corner pf the table just to get them out of the way. After finally bringing the menu, we order dessert and alert her there is a birthday girl. The dessert of course, takes a bit of time like everything else, but as we were expecting at this point. There was a candle which was great however NO spoons and NO plates. We waited for a few minutes and then had no other option than to grab a dirty fork from our previous corn dish and pass the dessert around the table. The fact that we had to eat a dessert with a dirty fork and pass it around the table to each take a bite is outrageous. We wanted to get out of there. We asked three different people for the check. Finally received it, immediately gave her the card and got out. We tipped 18 percent which was completely undeserved but we are all in the restaurant industry and felt obliged. The bill with tip was 600 dollars. I normally wouldn't mind but the service was unbelievably bad. I have never experienced anything like it in my life. Our reservation was at 8 and we left at 11. Unacceptable. The fact that my friend ate her birthday dessert with a dirty fork from a previous dish should embarrass the staff and management. I would never go back and would absolutely never recommend this place to a friend.

It's been 30 mins since we sat down and no one has even approached us to ask if we want drinks or food that's the service you get.
Be the first to ReplyThis place is giving vibes.
Highly recommended for a celebration or just to chill w friends. The service was quick and pleasing, our server was super nice and quick about everything. The food was good as well try the waguy and hand made pasta! The only thing that was uncomfortable are the chairs... we were sitting outside and it was extremely uncomfortable (black metal chairs), ask to move if you'd re seated at this area. Other than that it was a fun experience

Have been quite a few times and each time a different experience which I love. First occasion was a random date night on a Saturday that featured a live DJ as even more lively patrons. Second occasion was for a private event during Juneteenth weekend with LinkedIn and during the day which the venue is even more dreamy in the sunlight. Third was for my Moms bday and we were seated in the terrace area which gave off intimate vibes under their olive trees. Hostess are always accommodating Food and drinks are always good. 4 stars as I wish their were more dairy-free options on the menu Overall: Great place to come for a night out.

This place is very LA. Beautifully decorated, lots of indoor and outdoor seating, but a must to have reservations. We had reservations for 2 for 8:15 on a Wednesday and they sent us to the bar to wait for a table to open up, said it would be about 15 minutes, we ended up getting seated around 9pm. Our server was not very attentive, never really checked on us. Food was decent but small portions. To be expected with a place like this but we were honestly expecting more. When we made the reservation it asked if there were any special notes and we put that we were celebrating our anniversary and clearly that didn't seem to make a difference. Very busy restaurant. Good for pictures but not sure if I would go back.

A dimly-lit semi-upscale restaurant located in West Hollywood. They have valet parking but you can circle around and find street parking nearby. Service is friendly and fast. I wasn't a fan of my watermelon cocktail but others enjoyed theirs. To eat I got the lobster risotto which had a good amount of lobster but I probably wouldn't order again for flavor reasons. The rigatoni was delicious tho and I recommend trying that dish. I also heard good things about the salmon. Would I come back here? Probably not. But it's a really pretty restaurant & would be beautiful to celebrate a special occasion.
Be the first to ReplyYsabel is such a pretty little location for a date night.
Out of all Downtown LA places I have been to, Ysabel's food was very good! Service was fast and easy as well! They have a bar area as well- you can definitely have cocktails at the bar if you don't want to do a main course! If you take someone on a date here, put effort and take them flowers as well you won't regret!!

Brussels Sprouts we're amazing! I ordered the Hand Cut Rigatoni and my friend ordered the Lobster Risotto (not pictured). The ambiance was nice, the service was great! I will be back
Be the first to ReplyFood is great and service is friendly! Ambiance is stellar.
I went there with a group of friends on New Year's Eve 2022 and it was pouring so hard! We got sat outside on the patio which was kind of overflowing with rain and there were so many puddles. At one point a string light disconnected and almost hit my friend in the face while dining but luckily he ducked. Our waitress was incredibly worried about this (super duper liability) and us and took care of us the entire night! She went above and beyond for us! I can't remember her name but she is from Philly and also does comedy on the side... we appreciate your concern, the free rounds of shots and also how much $ you took off of our bill! Otherwise, on normal nights, service is equally good as is food. We will be going back for sure!

Ysabel is a popular restaurant in Weho so wanted to check it out. Their entrance is hidden to the side by valet. Upon walking in, you see an open air layout of the restaurant with their signature staircase to the left. Ysabel gives off a romantic ambiance with twinkle lights in their outdoor patio. We were seated inside, so it was more quiet. l Our Order l Sasha Cocktail ($21) - I was not a fan of the color of the cocktail. It didn't look appealing and the taste was meh. Sophia Cocktail ($19) - The garnish of the watermelon was cute but the drink was very watered down, not worth it. Truffle Fries ($18) - Can't go wrong with truffle fries for a side! The sauces paired well with the fries.Brussels Sprouts ($16) - The brussels sprouts were crispy and the kimchi sauce gave it extra flavor. Hand Cut Rigatoni ($27) - This pasta dish was good but pretty standard. There was nothing that stood out. Mary's Chicken ($36) - It was hard to eat this rotisserie chicken because it was bone in. The sauce and marinate they use was also VERY salty. I didn't want to request for a new plate since the wait was SO long to get our food. Do NOT get unless you want high blood pressure! Lobster Risotto ($38) - The plate didn't look that appealing since the texture was mushy and soft, similar to porridge.Scallops ($42) - Not worth the price for 5 little pieces. Overall, the food was pricey for the portion and didn't taste that great. The only thing I would get again is their truffle fries and brussels sprouts. Service was slow and the food did not come out in a timely manner. Our waitress was never really there and even getting the bill took long. Not sure what the hype is about this place, but I wouldn't come back. Ysabel might be a better option with their brunch menu, but dinner was not it.
Be the first to ReplyVibe and ambiance really good.
We ordered the filet mignon and it came out really sad ( I should've taken a picture!) ... a slab of meat on a white plate with steak sauce on the side. It tasted okay, the presentation could have been better. Beet salad with burrata was excellent. Service wasn't the best, it took 20 minutes just to get our dessert and our water wasn't refilled. We did a lot of waiting.
Be the first to ReplyGo-to day night spot.
ย For LA, the menu prices are hard to beat. ย Only thing is I'm not a fan of their Tomahawk steak. ย Brought leftovers home and didn't even want to eat it.
Be the first to ReplyI've been here quite a few times now.
The food is amazing and comes out fast. The drinks are delicious! The only down side is the lighting. Some parts of the patio are poorly lit that it feels like you're eating in the dark. Reservation is highly recommended.

giving this place 4 stars because the wait was long (like 20 minutes) considering we had a reservation and arrived on time, and the food took a while to come out and we were already kind of hangry, but oh my god it's like they put crack in this pasta. it's so good and for what???? so perfectly creamy and the micro greens were a perfect addition to the pasta. also tried my friends hand cut spaghetti and it was so good!! even though there was a wait i am def coming back here
Be the first to ReplyCool place with great ambience.
Very dimly lit/swanky vibe. We enjoyed the sashimi, NY strip steak and lobster ravioli, as well as the cocktails the Selena and the Jane Doe. Definitely pricey but was well worth it for the fantastic meal and ambience!
Be the first to ReplyThis place is understaffed.
The service is slow. The food doesn't come out. They didn't even bring napkins. We spent two hours here waiting for food. Absolute nonsense.

Been here multiple times and im so disappointed in the way our brunch went today. We were sat at 1pm and it's currently 2:40pm and we've had only 1 drink and our food is still not out. I dont even know where our waitress is. So disappointed!Update: left at 3:30pm and still no food. I dont understand how many tables around us sat after us were all able to eat/drink before us. Even paid and left while we were waiting for food that never arrived.
Be the first to ReplyTried this place for brunch.
It was very nice inside - people taking photos of their food, Selena Gomez playing, plants everywhere, the whole thing. But we waited 30 minutes for a coffee and the crispy potatoes were stale. The rest of the food was ok, missing flavor.Nice atmosphere, but would not come again. Also $21 for french toast?! I've had better at IHOP! It didn't even come with syrup
Be the first to ReplyI arrived at 6pm.
My party was finding parking. I was instantly told we only had 90 min for the table. It didn't seem very warm the way the hostess talked to us. However later I asked her to take pics and she was very willing and took multiple pictures. Food was great! We loved everything we had. However was told pavlova was very sweet when in fact it was super tart. My face had a lemon face for sure. It was good but I wouldn't order it again. The ambiance is so beautiful. It's so nice and loved the warm feel. The worst part was our waitress. She was Terrible. Very offputting. I had spilled a little on the table and asked for a napkin. She brought a whole place setting. I told her oh no I just wanted a paper one to wipe something off the table. The response of the waitress was picking up the setting wiping the table w the cloth napkin and walking away annoyed. She came to the table a Couple of times asking if we needed anything....but when we asked for something she acted really annoyed and rolled her eyes. She dropped off the check and walked away. I asked a busboy for a pen. She dropped it off without a word and walked away. I put our amounts of our cc on the check very clearly and instead of her splitting it the way I wrote she just did it in 3. She acted like she didn't want to work or she's better than that job. I'm not really sure but she's the opposite of customer service. The busboys were very attentive..a little too attentive very eager to get rid of our plates even w food on it. But it's better than them ignoring our table I guess..Also it was really weird. My friends received wine and they had 2 different sized glasses...food 5 stars ambiance 5 stars...customer service 1 star.
Be the first to ReplyI'm honestly surprised that this place had a 3.
5 stars! Definitely deserves at least a 4.I came here with a party of 4, my family member heard about this place from her friends. I thought that maybe this place was just hyped up but the food was really good!I really enjoyed the scallops and the pasta that we ordered - they were unique & delicious! I will say that you are partially paying for the ambiance of the restaurant. While those dishes were really great, I thought that the branzino and lobster ravioli were a bit overpriced for what they were.I recommend this for a date or a night out with the gals!
Be the first to ReplyParking: Valet was $11 and they take card.
Street parking could be possible but during the late morning time, it wasn't really happening for us. Food: Probably my favorite brunch spot in LA that isn't a rooftop restaurant/bar. Their menu is pretty diverse and my friends and I found it more convent to order several dishes and share family-style. I always recommend Ysabel to my friends for celebratory or even dining experiences. - Eggs Benedict (Salmon)- Panini with Tomato Soup- Pancakes - best whipped vanilla cream ever, I could come back to Ysabel solely for these pancakes Ambiance: The outdoor dining experience is pretty unique. Lots of trees and lights around the seating area. Lots of Instagram photo ops here, especially at the stair case with the painted mural. Overall, very chic and sophisticated. Service: Pretty fast. We arrived a bit late to our reservation (about 20 minutes) and the hostess still accommodated us!
