Angelo's of Bellevue Reviews from The Last Year
Very cute and cozy mom and pop restaurant.
Came here as a first date with my current partner and he could not have picked a better place. The food was excellent and fresh--I got the cannelloni al forno and someone walking past our table asked what it was because it looked so good. Highly recommend and hope to back soon.
I called to get a reservation and was told by the hostess
I called to get a reservation and was told by the hostess that I needed to call back in a few hours b/c she was "too busy to take down" my reservation. When I followed up with another question, she basically conveyed that I was taking up too much of her time and hung up on me. Normally the host is very friendly, but the latest service experience was so shockingly rude that we won't be eating at Angelo's again.
Definitely a bit of a whole in the wall but the parking lot
Definitely a bit of a whole in the wall but the parking lot was BUSY so it must be pretty solid! We made reservations for a group and they were very accommodating and let us sit early before the rest of the party came. Very mom and pop vibe. We got clams, caprese salad (good portion size), calamari (smaller portion and not super crispy), and bruschetta (good portion size). For entrees, we got the spicy seafood pasta (good portion of large seafood with a not too spicy sauce) and clam linguine (which unfortunately my kids didn't like citing no flavor and they usually LOVE clam linguine). The menu is fairly small but they do have specials off menu. We finished off with the chocolate panna cotta (which is really thick and sweet), vanilla gelato, and Italian cheesecake (very different -- more fluffy with almonds).
Great food and friendly staff.
Recommend going early if you don't have a reservation.
Really good pasta and tiramisu is to die for.
Really extensive wine list. The service is warm and friendly.
Quite pleased with my experience here.
May be the best ravioli I've had in all of Washington! Compliments to the chef. Definitely will be back.
Authentic Italian, everything is good.
Amazing attentive service. Usually a full house so it's smart to make reservations. Highly recommend what we had: the seafood cannelloni, penne prosciutto and for dessert, the coppa cream pistachio, flown in from Milan with the Vin Santo Holy. Ambiance is warm, friendly, and welcoming. Family-friendly.
Food wasn't worth the price, mediocre Italian food at best.
Our dishes were lukewarm and for how fast they came out they didn't sit out long. The pasta was a little over cooked and the sauce didn't have much flavor. However the service was amazing.
The food here is high quality and very good! The customer
The food here is high quality and very good! The customer service is fantastic, too. I called in my order and sometimes they'll make tortellini for us if they have it on hand, but this last time we ordered fettuccine alfredo and spaghetti with meatballs, both of which were delicious. A humorous thing happened as the person taking my order mistakenly used a curse word and gave us a complimentary tiramisu as a customer service gesture. We weren't bothered at all and thought that was so kind! This place is an institution in Bellevue and we'll keep coming back!
I discovered Angelo's a few years back when I was looking
I discovered Angelo's a few years back when I was looking for a specific Italian dish, sausage & peppers. I used to get this when I was living in New York and every time I looked for it out here, no one had it, until Angelo's! They have their artisan sausage made locally by an older gent who has been making Italian sausage his whole life. This dish is delicious and I have been back a number of times to get it. The service is prompt and attentive and the food comes out quickly depending on how many people are in the restaurant. The ambiance is typical small Italian, not super high end but very comfortable. They have a nice selection of wines from Italy. I love coming back here and will continue to return in the future.
