Great Italian food in the city's tourist center. Wonderful meal and friendly, attentive service. But get there early -- they accept no reservations and the line forms early. We recommend getting there an hour or more before their first (6:30) seating or their second seating around 8:30. They do provide some waiting area seating and serve drinks before the first seating.
Amazing Italian dinner!
One of the best food experiences of my life! La Cucina is a tiny Italian restaurant with amazing food, drinks and atmosphere. We knew we had to be there early, as you cannot reserve a table. The first serving was at 1830, and we arrived at 1735, being the second to last group to make it. But waiting was not a problem as the one (and only!) waiter served us wonderful drinks (and fresh lemonade for the children). All the dishes tasted great, bruschetta and penne arrabiata with burrata were my favourites. My husband and I really appreciated how our kids (aged 10 and 12) were welcomed, and they loved the food as much as we did! La Cucina is a must if you visit Nice - be there early and enjoy the waiting and then the amazing food!

This is without a doubt the best meal I’ve ever had. From the drinks & appetizers, to the entree and dessert. The food was fresh, and delicious. On top of that, it’s the best service of any restaurant I’ve ever been to in my life. They truly care about serving quality food, and care about who is dining with them.

No reservations so be there at least 1.5h before they open and have a nice drink while waiting. Second seating starts around 8.30pm. Amazing food, portions are quite huge and at least the starters are good for sharing. The bruchetta was the best I have ever had. Lovely service and reasonably priced.

I write very few reviews, so that's how you should know I mean this one. My family and I have been traveling around Spain and France for quite a few days, searching, no yearning, for a breathtaking meal. And let me tell you, we have found it here at La Cucina. From our server Leo (and his brother and mother in the kitchen) to the smacking dessert we just demolished, this place deserves 6/5 stars. We had the bruschetta, pasta with tomato basil, pasta with pesto, lamb, and steak. Each meal was amazing. The dessert... don't even get me started. Just look at the photos attached and you'll know all you need to know. We went to Monaco and Eze during our stay in Nice, and neither was anywhere close to the meal we just shared here. Trust, and enjoy.

A little off the beaten trail, this hidden gem was one of the best meals we had in France. The entire experience of finding this place, waiting to eat here, and then the meal itself were all great. As with many other places in the area, the restaurant opens late, around 6:30 PM. There was no obvious way in which to make reservations, so the strategy was to arrive early and wait for a table. We arrived at 6:35 and observed that they had clearly opted to open earlier; every seat of the 10-ish table restaurant was already at various stages of ordering and some were already eating. The host, who doubled as a server/expo sat us in a group of chairs in the alleyway and brought us drinks while we waited. We were told it would be 90 minutes but it was a beautiful day and the people watching was 10/10. This was perhaps one of the most entertaining parts of the day because the host was managing a growing horde of interested diners, taking orders, clearing tables, taking breaks to chain-smoke cigarettes all without skipping a beat. Once sat, we were tipsy, happy and relaxed. The sun has just begun to set and some local buskers were completing feats of athleticism for cash a few feet away from our table. The food was excellent. There are some strangely named dishes (probably more a product of poor translators) on the menu, but we were very pleased with our choices. The Hot Goat Cheese Salad was very big - big enough to share between 4 people as an appetizer. It was flavourful and fresh. The tomatoes were perfectly ripe, the cheese was rich and creamy. The mushroom ravioli was another hit: savoury, umami-filled pockets of goodness. Two of our party had the Arrabiata, one with and another without the Burrata. Both thought it was some of the best pasta on the trip! We shared a Creme Brulee and Panna Cotta to wrap up and both were perfectly sweet and balanced with fresh fruit. This place is cash-only, so make sure to bring enough for your group!

Wow. Just Wow! Four of us had different starters and mains. Each one was fantastic. Faultless food, service and atmosphere. I will visit Nice again soon, just so I can come back here. What a treasure.
Warm and inviting place
My husband and I went to La Cucina for my Birthday for tea and desserts. What a pleasant evening this was! The atmosphere, the desserts, and the service were all perfect. Very warm owners who go above and beyond for the quality of food and for the service. Would love to come back next time we are in Nice. Thank you for the great time we had!

We went there 3 times during our stay in Nice, that lasted one week -it was that good. Really good food, the waiter was amazing and their drinks worked as ising on the cake.

Came in highly recommended by a friend. WOW is all I can say!! Leo was delightful! Thanks for the great service. Food was out of this world! Lamb was scrumptious and so was the salmon! Couple sitting next to us was there the day before and dined there again, we totally understand why! Not a big restaurant but it felt like dining at a friend’s place! If and when in Nice, make sure you stop at La Cucina for an awesome meal! Mille Gratzie La Cucina team!
Expect not to eat here.
Sign outside said ‘open 6.30, no reservations’. We turned up at 6.20, expecting to wait. Place was full, though it did look really tiny. Guy waved us away saying come back in an hour. If they want anybody to eat here other than friends of theirs, they might want to change the sign. Disappointing, to say the least.
A perfect delight
There was nothing about this delightful restaurant that we did not love. The food was divine! We did not have a starter but I recommend you starve yourself for the day to make room. They looked wonderful. I had a braised lamb shank which was the best piece of lamb I have had anywhere. It was served with mashed potato that was the food of angels! My husband's duck with orange sauce was equally triumphant. Dessert was a generous fresh fruit salad and heavenly chocolate fondant with cream, creme anglais and ice cream. All of this was delivered by the best and most attentive service. We loved it.

Wow! What a fun experience! We went 15 minutes prior to opening. There was a line of 3 other parties in front of us. Made it in barely- only 6 tables! Very small! Luckily it was January! There is one server- the menu is lovely and the drinks were superb! We had bruschetta, the lamb shank(special), tomato basil pasta, tiramisu and the Pavlova! First- it was TOO much food for 2 people! Simply amazing! It is a family run place and you feel you're eating in their home! The server was friendly, helpful, efficient and so enjoyable. We had drinks- beer and and Aperol Spritz! After our meal- we were given small glasses of a wonderful "punch"- I believe it was Sex on the Beach- and a jar of candy is placed on your table as you wait to settle your bill. Truly authentic and enjoyable experience in Nice!

Wonderful! My parents are visiting and we have wanted to go to Nobu Malibu for years. I tried getting a reservation myself but it was next to impossible. So glad I was able to buy a reservation on appointment trader for a decent price!

I was veeeeeerry skeptical that this would work, particularly at a restaurant as hard to get into as Nobu Malibu, and it was perfect! We had lunch outside on the patio and it was fabulous!

Ok at this point I've attended a reservation purchased on AT by a friend and sold a reservation personally. Both worked pretty smoothly, nothing sketchy about it. A few areas for improvement including a way to more directly communicate between buyers and sellers, but the app always seems to be in development. AT customer support is really(!) responsive and helpful too if you have questions!

As a seller, I like the fact i have the ability now to transfer money out of my AT account and into a bank account. Makes getting the money much easier then the process before.

It can be under your name or a name you choose! Some reservation offers already include the AppointmentTrader Transfer Service which will transfer the reservation in to your name. If its not included you can add it on after buying the reservation for a small fee. One thing on that though: As many reservations become available at last minute, taking a reservation in someone else name is quick and great for privacy. Most reservations on AT are listed with a virtual phone number, so all you need to do is present the phone number at the hostess stand and you are good to go!

Does anyone know how AT plans to handle cases where a seller is quitting the platform but has a sell through rate <25%? The error message I got said to fill more bids or find other ways to increase the rate.
Is AT really going to block sellers from withdrawing their money? Especially revenue made before the sell through rate was introduced??

Your bid has been “matched” with a reservation. From the time a reservation has been located, the seller of the reservation must connect with moderator to give transfer information for reservation. If the seller;however, does NOT respond to reservation transfer, then your bid is reprocessed and returns to the first step, which is connecting your request to a reservation.

to appointmenttrader! Once the reservation is in your portfolio, you definitely own the timeslot, the review team would not have approved the trade if the reservation wasn't confirmed - so you are going :-) Judging from your post you bid today and are going tomorrow - don't worry as long as you initiated the name transfer, you are good - the transfer service has to work with the opening hours of the reservation team of the respective venue. You will likely see the transfer confirmation a couple hours before your reservation time.

Mostly from people who don't need their reservations or appointments any longer. AT has no relationship with places listed and acts as a platform connecting buyers and sellers making sure that listed reservations are real and that privacy is not compromised when transacting.

Hey @FluffyStar64, thanks for the question! When you place your bid the amount gets transferred in a deposit account, the second you either cancel your bid or a few minutes after the bid expires the funds are moved back into your main account from where you can refund it to your payment method or use for other transactions.
