L’Antica Pizzeria da Michele Los Angeles Reviews from The Last Year
Took my girl here and they did not disappoint we both had
Took my girl here and they did not disappoint we both had delicious pasta dishes one w putanesca sauce the other Alfredo both sauces excellent. Then we had a Margherita Pizza savory done perfectly. Will definitely be back.
Came for dinner and had an excellent dinner on a Friday
Came for dinner and had an excellent dinner on a Friday night. Used their valet service-very convenient and friendly valets. Hostess seated us immediately near the fireplace and our waiter was very attentive. He made great recommendations and we enjoyed arancini and meatballs. Portions were perfect and the dishes very flavorful. For entrees the pizzas did not disappoint, their pastas and pizza dough is made in house. Large portions and tasty. My Pappardelle Genovese had a flavor profile that tasted of fennel or anise, perhaps? The Tagliatelle Bolognese was equally delicious and a wonderful flavor. Highly recommend!
Lovely ambiance and time with my sister.
Servers were friendly. Margarita pizza was somehow both charred and way too thin, soggy/wet at the same time with not even a bit of basil on each piece. The beet salad had very few beets. I've been to Italy many times, my husband is a chef...maybe an off day in the kitchen? Not authentic as the server's recovery effort claimed. I'd much recommend la Parlacia Osteria instead.
Beautiful restaurant tucked away on a side street between
Beautiful restaurant tucked away on a side street between Hollywood Boulevard and Sunset. It is street parking only or valet, but my BF and I walked. The restaurant has an indoor area near the huge bar as well as an expansive courtyard outdoor area. We chose the outdoor seating and were glad we did since it was a little quieter than indoors, and you can see the pizza kitchen with the pizza oven. Courtyard was lovely with trees and the walls were covered with foliage. Our table, while small, had a mini accompanying table to hold our pizza. I'm glad they had that because we had no idea the pizzas were going to be massive, and I really mean, massive. They were almost the size of a Costco pizza. The crust was extremely thin and delicious, but it could have benefited from a little more thickness just to stay together better, but this just means the pizza was best eaten with a fork and knife. Service was good; I can't remember anything standing out unfortunately since we went a while ago. But the restaurant vibe was wonderful.
Excellent food! The pizza, of course, salads, and cocktails
Excellent food! The pizza, of course, salads, and cocktails - so good. Cute space too. The staff staff is very kind. Service can be a little slow when it's busy, but overall fantastic. Would definitely recommend.

Rather amazing Neapolitan style, pizzas, huge, 16 inches, with great service. The wine list is a little abbreviated.
Decided on Italian after the Paley Festival with Stephen
Decided on Italian after the Paley Festival with Stephen Colbert, walking distance from Dolby Theater. Had a delectable dining experience and absolutely delightful date night. Tucked quietly away, you're greeted by a pleasant enough hostess. Service is attentive. I love eggplant so had to order the pasta alla norma. Such a flavorful and filling dish, with bursts of tomato and perfectly cooked eggplant nicely greeted by the parmigiano . My husband ordered the pizza diavola. I was worried he wouldn't enjoy it because he loves a thick crust, but the slightly spicy salame paired nicely with the light sauce and flavorful cheese that sat nicely on a thin crust and each slice was met with a smile. We enjoyed a nice north coast red ale and cappucino and loved each others company at this romantic spot.
Great food, amazing drinks, and friendly staff! L'Antica
Great food, amazing drinks, and friendly staff! L'Antica has become a favorite of mine over the last few months and I had never left a review until now. La Passione is my go to cocktail with the most tasty passionfruit. This place is seriously one of the few underrated spots in LA.
Great food, always a good time.
Service is excellent and the atmosphere is a nice experience
Delicious food, nice atmosphere, but located in a scary
Delicious food, nice atmosphere, but located in a scary neighborhood. So if you make it from the car to the restaurant alive, you're in for a nice meal.
Fitted the bill exactly.
We were initially looking for good pizza somewhere within walking distance of our Hollywood Hotel, and spotted this place on Trip Advisor. It fitted the bill perfectly, though in the end we decided on a fish dish and were extremely happy with the simple way it was cooked and presented. The lava chocolate cake desert listed white chocolate as part of the dish but our waiter offered the warning that it was “only a drizzle”. Just as well that was the warning, otherwise it could have been slightly disappointing. Only slightly, because it was delicious. If one was being picky the tiramisu didn’t quite compare in excellence as it lacked the expected flavor hit. Incidentally, the pizzas did look magnificent and if we were staying longer we would have returned for them. So nice to find such a good place tucked away from the tourist melee, but within 10 mins walk of Hollywood Boulevard.
Family bruch
Visited this restaurant couple years ago didn’t have a great experience , we enjoyed much improved service , and food was good also everyone in group liked presentation and food quality was good also . Definitely going back
Simply stated: this place is superb
Our experience was just superb! We went with one of our adult daughters, her husband and a grandson. The food was exceptional, the service very prompt and professional, it was not as noisy as some L.A. places (we could visit!) and the prices, while not inexpensive, were reasonable (as they go these days). Our "kids" had been before -- and on our next visit from NY we are very likely to return.
Excellent pizza that brought back memories of Naples
This restaurant was recommended by a friend as being authentically Napoleon pizza. So I ordered the Margarita and it was great (not quite as great of my memory of Naples, but close). The crust was perfect. The pizza was a little more expensive than I expected but it is comparable ($22 for a margarita pizza). The location is hard to notice from the street and not the best parking situation, but I found street parking around the corner. But once inside it is completely different then the outside. Roomy with indoor and outdoor seating.
Nice evening
My husband and I went here one evening for dinner during our honeymoon. Very nice place, friendly service. We both had pizza, very expensive but in line with the prices, I must say they were good. The only advice I can give is to take just one pizza and divide it in two, because they are really huge! I would go back
Pizza in LA
Very nice place, American-sized pizza but with an Italian flavour. Efficient service. Prices not excessive. We liked it and recommend it
Great pizza, crazy prices
Excellent pizza, being far from home you don't expect to find one this good outside of Italy. I liked the pasta less. The crazy bill for us Italians, almost 200 euros for two pizzas, a pasta and some simple mid-range wine. But for the USA it's normal... Italians though, be careful, if you want to spend the right amount for a pizza... it's not the right place
Don’t Bother if You’re BIPOC
I was looking forward to dinner at this restaurant after a trip to Italy this summer had me longing for Neapolitan pizza. Unfortunately, my experience at Da Michele left a bad taste in my mouth -- and less so because of the food. The pizzas weren't as spectacular as in Naples, but adequate. The crust could have been less soggy. My real issue with this restaurant is management. Before I get into that, I do want to give credit to our server, Destiny, who was cordial and attentive. Her manager, however, was dismissive and unhelpful. We went to the restaurant on a drizzly night and were seated outside between two large awnings with a 2-3 foot gap in the middle. When we asked the manager to be moved to an open table in the center of the awning, she told us the table was reserved and wouldn't make a difference in terms of getting wet (mind you we also had a reservation). She offered us the bar, which isn't great for a group of 4 so we stayed put. Once the rain picked up, we were all getting wet and the table where she claimed it "wouldn't make a difference to be moved" was completely dry. Mid-meal a table inside became available, and we moved there. We then ordered cannoli which came with pistachio (not listed on the menu). My friend, who is allergic to pistachio, began experiencing a reaction to the unlisted ingredient, but thankfully she had an epipen. The manager returned again and wasn't really empathetic and told us that the item came with pistachio ice cream -- insinuating that we were to blame. We argued that my friend didn't touch the ice cream at all (it was in a separate container) and that the menu had described the cannoli as having hazelnuts, not pistachios. After some back and forth, the manager comped the dessert but left us feeling humiliated. This is a trendy restaurant on the Westside with a predominantly white clientele. We left this bad experience wondering if the manager would have taken our concerns more seriously and treated us with more empathy and respect if we weren't a group of 4 BIPOC women. Also, the bathroom was pretty gross and one of the 2 toilets was broken.
High expectations
In search of a Neapolitan pizza after a month in the States we trusted a historical name like Michele (which the waiter pronounced Miscel). Clearly, to be a pizzeria in the heart of Hollywood, in a certain sense we had to adapt to the tastes and preferences of the place, losing a little authenticity. The pizzas that came out of the oven were typically Carrota di Carro, inviting in appearance, but the one on the Margherita and Margherita Sbagliata was neither fiordilatte nor provola. Overall, a not entirely convincing experience given that Michele a Forcella is an institution with a heavy name, but perhaps our expectations were too high...
The real Neapolitan pizza
Historic Neapolitan restaurant transplanted into the heart of Hollywood without losing quality. The pizza and the first courses are also very good. Beautiful and well-kept location and attentive and quick service. Prices in line with restaurants of this level.

When you sell a reservation that has a prepaid fee AT takes a commission on that fee. This doesn’t really make sense because it’s an expense the seller incurs not part of the profit that is shared.
For example:
Carbone NYC fee to book table for 2 is $108.88
If you sell it for $200 on AT you get $140 from them.
Your net profit is $31 and AT collects $60 in fees.
It would make more sense not to charge commission on the upfront fee as this creates a disincentive and results in higher costs for buyers.

Agreed. Ultimately not addressing this month after month is clearly resulting in a drop in certain venue’s rankings & sales.
