Lasita Los Angeles Reviews from The Last Year
I grew up in the Philippines, but I haven't really had
I grew up in the Philippines, but I haven't really had restaurant Filipino food in awhile. I love the texture of all the dishes and all the flavors compliments each other, Although! they use ingredients from traditional Filipino dishes, the way they were prepared is modernized, and different on its own way! The presentation is like an upscale french place to be honest!
Fantastic service!!! The team go above and beyond to make
Fantastic service!!! The team go above and beyond to make you feel welcome and cared for. The food is also incredible with unexpected flavor pairings and items I've never seen on a menu in LA. Order one of everything and don't skip out on dessert!
10/10 on everything: food is absolutely amazing and filling
10/10 on everything: food is absolutely amazing and filling and comforting, service feels like a warm hug from my people, and the restaurant's interior is just *chef's kiss* so chic and cool. We made a reservation for 2 on a Monday night and came 30 mins early - but no problem, they had our table ready for us. We ordered the sisig, chicken inasal, garlic fried rice, chicken fat fried rice, and shrimp sinigang chips. Everything tasted so so so good. We also had the calamansi cream pie - truly heavenly, the graham cracker crust is to die for. My bf got a mango-flavored beer from the motherland and it was honestly really delicious! Both sauces from the chicken inasal are great, the garlic one will definitely make you lick your plate. We had such a good dinner that my bf ended up buying merch lol When we signed our lease to move back to socal, we went to howlin's to celebrate and we saw Lasita a couple doors down and said that we HAVE to try this restaurant once we move. So finally trying it, and having the most amazing time, just made the full circle experience all the sweeter. Excited to be Lasita regulars!
My husband and I have been wanting to try this spot for
My husband and I have been wanting to try this spot for quite some time! We finally made it out for dinner and had a wonderful experience! We didn't have a reservation and walked in a little before 7pm. The hostess was so kind to quickly help us find a comfortable table considering I'm 8 months pregnant. The food was so flavorful and delicious. We ordered the half chicken, the pancit, chicken fat rice, shrimp chips, and the mushroom sisig. They were all amazing! My husband loves halo-halo, as it was a childhood dessert growing up for him, but he can no longer eat it due to his dairy allergy. Theirs is vegan so he could finally enjoyed it and loved their rendition! Our waiter Chase was incredibly nice and attentive. We will definitely be back!
Always cool to go out to these modern Filipino restaurants
Always cool to go out to these modern Filipino restaurants and try things out. We were in town last minute, so we tried to get to Lasita closer to opening because other friends have told us that it is the best way to get in without any reservations. We got to the restaurant around 5:35 ish (they open at 5:30) and there was already a line and a small crowd! The hostesses at the front were very kind, and told us that we could get seated if it was okay with us that we would only have 1 hour to eat. We agreed, got seated pretty quickly, and were on a mission to order things asap! The service in the beginning was a little slow-- it wasn't communicated with our server that we were on a time restraint. I did notice that the line management outside was kind of meh-- there weren't a lot of people that were actually seated (but maybe they were shortstaffed). Nonetheless, our server (forgot their name!) was very nice and welcoming, and told us about different things on their menu. To drink: I got an Engkanto "Paint Me Purple" ube flavored beer. It was pretty good! Not a big beer gal, but was able to really enjoy this. You could def taste the ube at the first sip. This beer is from Cavite, so thought thaw was really cool. To eat: We got 2x garlic fried rices (one/person), and entrees to share. (1) Pork belly lechon- Always highly recommended whenever you go to a Filipino restaurant lol. We got it without the egg. It was ok, I have had better elsewhere. (2) Chicken inaysal- They're a rotisserie! And it's listed under their specials. Probably one of the better dishes. We got half a chicken and it came with a side of garlic and soy. (3) Grilled pork secreto- Yupppp. This was the best. Really liked the white sauce it came with. The table next to us asked what we liked so far, and were inspired to order this as well! Would recommend this over any of the other dishes we tried, but the big drawback with this dish is that it is pretty pricy for a small portion relative to the other entrees. (4) Calamansi cream pie- I was initially excited for this, but in the end it was just a very tart, key-lime adjacent pie. Not sure what I was expecting, but I thought maybe the calamansi would be more distinct. I saw in the kitchen that they use the SunTropics calamansi-lime. Maybe this is why? Wonder what it would taste with more concentrated calamansi. (5) Horchata halo-halo- Was also pretty stoked to try this. Was much more mellow than I thought it would be. Very subtle cinnamony taste, with a hint of coconut here and there. Halo Halo can have chunky ice, but I think this dish would've benefited more from a finer snow-like texture. All in all, would highly recommend if you are in the area! We decided to splurge since we aren't here often, but if we could pick, we would recommend the grilled pork secreto! All dishes are pricy, but a nice treat on a night out. I would probably skip on the dessert next time. The Filipino beers were a nice touch. We were in the restaurant until 7ish (~1.5 hrs after they opened), and there were still a decent number of tables open. I credited this to them being a brand new restaurant, but I think they have been out since last Fall? Regardless, loved the food, atmosphere, service. Sosososo amazing to see Filipino restaurants out and thriving :)
Loved this place.
Just a random walk by, which later we discovered, we were lucky to get in without a reservation. Cute outdoor seating area! We shared the sizzling' pork belly sisig and the beef tartare as well as some garlic fried rice. Everything was so fresh and tasty! Only critique was that we could have used a few more crackers with the tartare. (They gave us more but we had to pay a little extra.) Definitely going to try and get back there soon!
The food was alright.
The Pancit Kang Kong's noodles was a bit mushy and too oily. Same for the chicken inasal. It was a bit on the dry end and the sauces really saved it. The lechon was juicy and crispy and paired well with the sauce. I was obsessed with both the chicken fat and garlic rice. Service was amazing! I can't remember my servers name but we appreciated him talking us through the menu and his recommendations! Also, not pictured was the ube draft beer. I love that it was straight from the Philippines! An amazing detail. The interior was nice and intimate, but I recommend getting a reservation since it seems like they're busy most of the time.
As a Filipino, I love the different concepts they have with
As a Filipino, I love the different concepts they have with different Filipino dishes. We started off with the beef tartar and pork belly sisig. All I could say was w o w. Beef tartar was amazing and I've never had a garlic sky flake before. The flavors complimented perfectly. I'm not usually a pork person, but their sisig was cooked to perfection! So much flavor and had the perfect crisp. For our main dish we had the chicken inasal. The chicken was sooo tender and fell right off the bone! We also ordered each one of their sauces and I can't even pick out my favorite. They all had their own unique flavor. I'm already thinking about my next visit at this restaurant. The ambience, the service, and the food are all 10/10. Highly recommend!!
Beautiful little space.
Great food, lovely wine. Staff is always great. Love Lasita!
Small portions and expensive.
I would consider trying other place. Service was not that great. We had a reservation but we still have to fall in line. Table was not ready. There's too much service tax and pamilya tax! you have to pay for sauces of the food that you ordered! too pricey!!

Great Service - amazing dinner!!
Read about the site in NYT and bought a reservation at Mother Wolf in LA 2 days later. Worked great and the food was amazing!!!
Worked perfectly!
Got the reservation (that I couldn't get anywhere else) and was able to entertain a group of friends at the infamous Bern's Steakhouse.
Got into Nobu Malibu
Wonderful! My parents are visiting and we have wanted to go to Nobu Malibu for years. I tried getting a reservation myself but it was next to impossible. So glad I was able to buy a reservation on appointment trader for a decent price!
Very easy
Was very hesitant going into this experience but am glad to say that it worked out very well ! will definitely use appointment trader in the future
Fabulous Lunch
I was veeeeeerry skeptical that this would work, particularly at a restaurant as hard to get into as Nobu Malibu, and it was perfect! We had lunch outside on the patio and it was fabulous!
Great reviewer team
Just wanted to take a second to shout out the reviewer team. Even though they probably review hundreds of listings and bids a day, they still take the time to leave great comments and respond relatively quickly. Thanks!
Incredible
I got a reservation to Don Angie, which I've been trying to book for weeks! I am very happy with this service.
Best platform out there!
Super simple, easy, and fast to secure reservations for hard-to-get restaurants and locations!
This app is life changing
This app has opened my world up to so many wonderful new experiences I would never have the chance to have without access to this awesome app! 10/10!

Was a little nervous at first but was pleased to see that the booking went through flawlessly.

Quick table in Miami
I didn’t have my hopes high as it was a party of 4. In 24 hours I had a carbone reservation available! I was very happy as my family really wanted to come here

perfect
Worked well, got me into a restaurant with no availability
I was skeptical, and I still don't really know how they managed to find this hard-to-find reservation, but it was a win-win from my point of view, and I'll use this service again.
Last minute reservation for Delilah Las Vegas
Got a last minute reservation, dinner for 2 at Delilah Las Vegas: super impressed! The process was simple, transaction seamless. We had an amazing time! Couldn’t be happier! 😍
It works!
Ok at this point I've attended a reservation purchased on AT by a friend and sold a reservation personally. Both worked pretty smoothly, nothing sketchy about it. A few areas for improvement including a way to more directly communicate between buyers and sellers, but the app always seems to be in development. AT customer support is really(!) responsive and helpful too if you have questions!
Money transfer
As a seller, I like the fact i have the ability now to transfer money out of my AT account and into a bank account. Makes getting the money much easier then the process before.
Love this app
Got to go to places otherwise unreachable
Easy Access
Very easy to get into one of the hardest restaurants to reserve in New York.
Whose name will my reservation be under when I arrive at the venue?
It can be under your name or a name you choose! Some reservation offers already include the AppointmentTrader Transfer Service which will transfer the reservation in to your name. If its not included you can add it on after buying the reservation for a small fee. One thing on that though: As many reservations become available at last minute, taking a reservation in someone else name is quick and great for privacy. Most reservations on AT are listed with a virtual phone number, so all you need to do is present the phone number at the hostess stand and you are good to go!

I will give you 50% of ALL of my PROFITS if you teach me how to make profits?
LOL. Thank you The New Yorker.
Appointment
Transferring reservations is not supported in AT. Why not just use the name in the AT screenshot?
Buyers interested in Bern's Steakhouse: PLEASE READ
Same goes for 4 Charles and I Sodi
Prepaid Reservation Fee
Agreed. Ultimately not addressing this month after month is clearly resulting in a drop in certain venue’s rankings & sales.
Congrats on 3 mil
🍾🍾🍾🍾🍾🍾🧨🧨🧨 now on to 30 mill!
Need to cancel a bid, not getting a response… how do I do it?
Click on "Take off the Market Option" in your portfolio
Working on your bid?
Your bid has been “matched” with a reservation. From the time a reservation has been located, the seller of the reservation must connect with moderator to give transfer information for reservation. If the seller;however, does NOT respond to reservation transfer, then your bid is reprocessed and returns to the first step, which is connecting your request to a reservation.
Process after bid is accepted.
Hey @EvocativeFold67, welcome to appointmenttrader! Once the reservation is in your portfolio, you definitely own the timeslot, the review team would not have approved the trade if the reservation wasn't confirmed - so you are going :-) Judging from your post you bid today and are going tomorrow - don't worry as long as you initiated the name transfer, you are good - the transfer service has to work with the opening hours of the reservation team of the respective venue. You will likely see the transfer confirmation a couple hours before your reservation time.
Where do the Reservations on AppointmentTrader come from?
Mostly from people who don't need their reservations or appointments any longer. AT has no relationship with places listed and acts as a platform connecting buyers and sellers making sure that listed reservations are real and that privacy is not compromised when transacting.
What happens if my bid expires unanswered?
Hey @FluffyStar64, thanks for the question! When you place your bid the amount gets transferred in a deposit account, the second you either cancel your bid or a few minutes after the bid expires the funds are moved back into your main account from where you can refund it to your payment method or use for other transactions.
