LoLa 41 Palm Beach Reviews from The Last Year

It was my first time dining on the patio and it was beautiful. We were a party of 6 and decided to order a bunch of things to share so we could all try a good amount of the menu. We did spicy edamame, the grilled octopus, the chicken lettuce cups, Korean bbq ribs, crab rangoons and a few sushi rolls for appetizers - our server was phenomenal and made sure to only bring a few items at a time to make sure our table wasn't too crowded. For entrees we did lobster fried rice, the grilled salmon lo mein, and the beef bulgogi. We will definitely come back - my dad said he liked it more than many of the palm beach restaurants we usually go to!

I visited Lola 41 Palm Beach in December of 2023 while on a family vacation during the holidays. It's located at the White Elephant Hotel in Palm Beach, FL. The food was delicious. It's Japanese cuisine. There were so many great options on the menu for both food and cocktails. The service was great as well. I went on a busy night and my party was more than happy with the amazing service. I'd definitely suggest this place to anyone visiting the area. I will be back!
Once Great Restaurant Has Lost Its Way
This once great restaurant has lost its way. I was recently there for a business lunch with a few friends and the place was empty! Once bustling, it appears the Palm Beachers have moved on and written this place off. While the food is average to good, the prices have skyrocketed over the last year and portion size has decreased. One example is I was charged $7 plus tax for a small cup of cocacola! By far the most expensive coke I have paid for at a restaurant globally. Just a joke. I will not return as there are many better choices now both on the island and in West Palm.
We went to Lola 41 for lunch yesterday.
I wanted to sit on the patio, it looked so good on the website picture, but because of the damn drizzle it was closed. I get it, during the day the ambiance of a restaurant is different, but the 3 stars are not because of this. Plus the night before we passed by on our way to the hotel and it looked awesome with the soft orange lights, the nice crowd inside, and the people outside chatting saying goodbye after dinner. For a $70 lobster mac&cheese I was expecting a very tasty dish. What a disappointment when the lobster turned out chewy and rubbery. I get it, it's Palm Beach, I am aware that $70 are probably the equivalent of 7 cents for most of the customers of Lola41 (sadly I am not one of them), but that's not the point. An overcooked lobster will make any customer mad. Sorry Lola, even thought the octopus was excellent, this establishment goes to the "visited and not going back" folder. I know, I haven't tried everything on the menu, but with so many restaurants around, there is no place for mistakes like this.
YOU WERE WARNED - BAD SERVICE AND SUBTLE RACISM.
Terrible experience! If you are a person that's expecting good service, you will be disappointed. No one cares and zero management supervision. And if you are BLACK don't go!! The White staff tend to ignore black patrons. If you are Black, staff will pass you by for 5-10 mins servicing other patrons that arrive after you.
Came for happy hour during the summer.
Happy hour is not available during season. They do still have specials during the week though. Not only is the food fantastic and high quality, but it's decorated so nicely. There is valet or street parking if you can find a spot. I sat at the bar and all the staff were super friendly.

Horrible food (and even drinks) and staff is incredibly rude. Stay far away from this establishment - This restaurant needs a major wake up call. Most despicable drink special I have ever seen and steak tartar tasted like old processed meat even though they claim it's Japanese wagyu. I was on a date and had to leave after appetizers. Horrible experience. This restaurant needs to be investigated...
Served up a bunch of excuses
We were served up a bunch of excuses!!!! —Glasses of wine (small pour) arrived needed to be wiped of dripping wine down them . Appetizer showed up after dinner was served. We were a party of 3 and one guest’s dinner arrived 5-7 minutes before the others. Server was careless and Hannah the manager was full of excuses…the evening was a debacle and not worth trying again!!!! So many fine restaurants in Palm Beach, don’t waste time or money here!

I was planning an event, and decided to take advantage and try LoLa 41 since the restaurant seemed to have a great menu with various Asian and Mediterranean dishes, and I was lucky enough that although it was Sunday brunch, it wasn't busy at all. At first sight, I almost drove past it. The restaurant is attached to the beautiful White Elephant boutique hotel, just as you turn the corner. I ordered a cocktail, which could have been better, to be honest, as the taste didn't really come through and it wasn't anything complex as to really mess it up. However, the food definitely made up for it. I was recommended to try their Korean Bulgogi noodle bowl which had the right level of spice, and the serving was also quite generous. I specially enjoyed the sauce that the noodles and veggies were tossed in, as it was mildly sweet, with a spice of chili that kept my lips tingling, but was not too much as to not allow me to taste everything else. To end the meal, I also ordered a yuzu key lime pie for dessert. Although I really enjoyed this to end the meal, it was a bit too sweet for me and I was unable to finish it as well. I would still recommend it all. I think this is a great location to come with friends for an event, and share different items, as well as sit outside and just really enjoy what to me felt like a private restaurant experience.
Good sushis!
Cute place, agreeable atmosphere! The food was good. We really loved the sushis, but were underwhelmed by the salad. Service was great!
We sat at the bar to watch the men's finals US Open tennis.
Our bartender Ashley was fantastic. All of them were, but her knowledge of wines was particularly helpful. She was fun as were all of the staff from the hostess to the other bartenders. Just a good spot, not stuffy but excellent wine menu with The Prisoner by the glass and other fab wines. We did not eat but would come back again for the atmosphere and wine.
Birthday Brunch
Excellent food. Excellent drinks. Our waitstaff was good. Could be a bit pricey, but Sunday prices for rolls was buy one, get one. Overall wonderful experience and we will definitely be back!
Excellent food and service, some hostesses have an attitude.
"Sushi Sunday" offers a good deal, make sure you ask about it. Food is fresh and scrumptious.

Had a great birthday dinner here last night! We had the Poke Nachos, the Truffle Scallop Crudo, the Chirashi Maki Roll & the Green Light rRoll. Everything was sooooooo good, especially the Truffle Scallop & Green Light. 2 of the best things I've ever eater in my life!!! Service was good as were our Dirty Martinis. Will definitely come back next time I'm in town!
Not even season & not good
When we arrived, we were seated in a small room with a table that had four children. They were very unruly, and even the parents did not use their inside voice. Our server Martha was absolutely delightful. Our little curly haired bus boy, whom I failed to get his name was just a pleasure. Our food not so much. I ordered the octopus with cauliflower purée. The octopus was so over cooked. It was difficult to cut, I did not want to send it back since we were with friends and did not want to complain. Both my husband and his friend got the salmon over the noodles. Honestly, it didn’t even look good to me. They both said it was just OK. The wine, a French white, was a little dry for my taste, but we enjoyed it when I return to this place? Absolutely not.
Ordered lettuce wraps and sushi.
Sushi good. Not great especially for $25 per roll and quite small. Lettuce wraps too salty. Again nothing special. Drinks are priced well for palm beach and good. Sat 13 people at an 8 top table in the front room which was warm and very loud due to being somewhat enclosed with 2 other tables of 5-6. Kicker that blew my mind was being told it was $5 per slice for us to cut a cake for a birthday party. I thought it was a joke. The table of 13 spent $1300 and you want to charge for plates and a fork for a cake. And all of the bussers that magically appeared after dinner confiscating all of the plates and silverware so we wouldnt try to avoid the $5 plating fee. It was honestly pathetic. It's HILARIOUS for a business that should be dying for parties to happen to be so petty. Poor management for a business to not want guests to come back and celebrate with them.
We had a great lunch yesterday at Lola 41 in Palm Beach.
Service from Luis F was excellent. We had Wakame and Sunomono, Maruko, Anata, and Hamachi Nigiri. All were excellent. We will definitely return to this restaurant.
Tasty food, horrible service for the “Manager from hell” Hanna. Totally unacceptable behavior in an expensive place
Rude Manager (Hanna) makes you want to stay away, too bad because the food is tasty. Unfortunately this restaurant manager (young girl apparently named Hanna with no manners and a big attitude treated us soo poorly we will not be coming back. Walked over to our table around 10:45 pm and started lecturing us that the kitchen was closed and what were we thinking when we ordered 2 desserts after 10:00 pm. First off all no one told us that a closing kitchen also included no desserts, and secondly she could have been apologetic about it and be done with it, but instead she was rude and dismissive. For a place where dinner and 1-2 drinks will run you well in excess of $120 per person you would expect kind and attentive service, not the case here. Will spend our money elsewhere.
What a Horrible experience!!!
What a terrible experience!!! We were celebrating my husband’s birthday, our reservation was at 8:30 because they wouldn’t sit us earlier unless we wanted 6:00 which was impossible for us to make. We were having a wonderful evening, the food had been great and our server fantastic until we ordered deserts. Out comes the manager Hanna with a horrible attitude almost insulting us because we had dared to order desert when the kitchen had already closed 45 minutes ago. What??? First of all, no one told us we couldn’t order dessert anymore (they even took our order) Second of all you don’t need the chef to take out the cake from the refrigerator and cut a piece so we could sing “happy Birthday” to my husband and finally there are right ways to convey the same message. If she had come out apologizing for the inconvenience because the kitchen had already closed but to make up for it they were going to give us free coffee or a complementary after dinner drink or simply their most sincere apology, I would be writing a wonderful review but after the way she spoke to us we are all invited to never go back and to tell all our friends and guests (we get a lot of guests from all over the world) to never go to that place, it was really upsetting the way she treated us and how she ended up ruining my husband’s birthday with such a bad experience when it could’ve gone exactly the opposite. So disappointed and very dissatisfied.

Hey @FluffyStar64, thanks for the question! When you place your bid the amount gets transferred in a deposit account, the second you either cancel your bid or a few minutes after the bid expires the funds are moved back into your main account from where you can refund it to your payment method or use for other transactions.
