Noon O Kabab Chicago Reviews from The Last Year

Overall Thoughts: This is a popular Persian restaurant in Albany Park that was crowded even at 3pm on Sunday. You order at the counter and the food comes out quickly. The food was for the most part delicious with large portions, though some elements were a bit lacking in flavor. The prices were reasonable for the portions (~$25 pp for my group of 3). My favorite dish was the joujeh koubideh (chicken breast ground, seasoned, and charbroiled) and if I'm ever back, I'll have to get more dishes with that, as well as try more of the bastani flavors. Food I tried: - Kash-Kebademjan (4.4/5): This was tasty! The smokey, roasted eggplant flavors were robust, and paired with the copious amounts of quality olive oil, was very savory. I wish the pita that came with it were warmed up / toasted though. - Lamb Shank Plate (4.1/5): The lamb shank was very tender and fell off the bone, but overall the stew itself was missing some flavor. The rice could've also been more flavorful. I liked the crispy texture of this pita, but it wasn't very conducive to eating it with the rice/lamb. - Shrimp and Joujeh Koubideh Plate (4.7/5): Favorite item we ordered all because of the joujeh koubideh, which was SO good... literally some of the tastiest, juiciest chicken I've ever had. Highly recommend any dish containing the joujeh koubideh. Same critique around the rice and pita. - Saffron Bastani (4.4/5): A staple Persian dessert, I was glad to have tried this. The texture is similar to gelato and the flavor had strong floral notes. -- Price (relative to peers): 4.4/5 Food: 4.4/5 Ambience: 4.5/5 Service: N/A Overall Value: 4.5/5

I ordered delivery from Noon O Kabab and was really impressed. The Noon O Two and Noon O Joujeh were delicious, and the hummus was perfectly creamy. The packaging was also great, keeping everything hot and tasty. The only letdown was the Persian salad--it just didn't hit the mark for me. But overall, it was a fantastic meal, and I'd definitely order from them again!
Every time it's perfect.
Today was a pick up for Eid and we ordered kebabs. Beautiful and juicy, generous portion, perfectly cooked. This is truly the best Persian restaurant in the US. Their packing was immaculate! Every platter in an expensive foil carton. Every side carefully packed. I mean, it does not get better than this! (I am part Persian)
Must better than I remember.
After a 4 year hiatus I had a chance to give the place a retry. I found it much better than I remember. The only weak spot for my was the Kashk bademjan which I recall not loving the last time. Otherwise my brother loved his lunch special and I had a delicious Soltani. Glad I returned.
Very delicious Persian dishes.
Beautiful restaurant as well. Server was helpful as well. First they start you off with some hot fresh flatbread with a side of feta, onion, parsley, pickled cabbage, cucumber to snack on. We ordered their steak kebab, ground chicken, ground lamb kebab. It comes with white rice and we added dill rice. We also got a side of their Persian salad which we usually love but me and my sister aren't a big fan of mint which was in it so probably wouldn't get that dish again. Overall very tasty and would definitely come back. I recommend coming with a group of people so you can get a bunch of dishes and share it family style.

Pro tip: There is a "fine dining" side (entry on the north) and a "counter service" side (entry on the south). I went to the counter service side and had n outstanding meal for $20 incl tip. Baba ghannouj Good but not outstanding. The pita was quite good though. Gheymeh bademjaan "Diced choice beef, split peas, baby eggplants and sour grapes prepared in a light saffron tomato sauce with a touch of cinnamon." WOW, this was SO good. I've had a million kebabs, shawarmas, etc. so I wanted something new. I don't even like eggplant but this dish was SO flavorful. Came with both plain and dill rice, which was very dill-y and just outstanding. I love dill. The eggplant/beef was cooked well and had a very interesting and fantastic middle-eastern flavor. If I go back it'll be hard to choose anything else! Ambiance was fine, typical counter service place. Clean, friendly, no music, not loud - great all around.
Very good Persian food! My favorite koobideh I have ever
Very good Persian food! My favorite koobideh I have ever tried. Large portions, good service, good food. Would recommend. The restaurant is very spacious and has seating galore. We had no problem walking in and getting a table for two. We came during Ramadan/for iftar, and they offered us dates to break fast. The portions are very large. I think we would've been similarly stuffed if we got one less plate. My friend and I tried the baba ghanoush, lamb + koobideh kabobs, and one more mixed rice plate I forgot the name of. Also the saffron ice cream for dessert. Everything was tasty and we had plenty left over. The koobideh was my favorite by far (best I have had so far!) but nothing was bad at all. The prices were fair for how much you get, but were a lot of food for one person. Next time I would split a plate between two people. The lamb was very good but ever so slightly gamey. Expected for lamb, but something to be aware of. The dessert was yummy! I liked trying a flavor that was new to me. The texture was a little icy, but that is a very minor remark. Our server was very nice. They were able to accommodate a garlic sauce for us upon request. The food also came out extremely fast, which was terrific. No complaints there. I had quite a positive experience overall, and would be very open to coming back and trying more items off of their very large menu. Would recommend.

Keep up the great work great food great staff Pleasant experience for family venture as well as the first date bon appétit
The wraps are stellar.
This is a rotation place for us. Nice having a great go-to in the neighborhood.
Outstanding Persian Food
Don't miss this for cozy eating-in or great takeout. Delicious entrees. Our group enjoyed various kabobs, the falafel, baba ghannouj. Highly recommend the Shirin Polo with Joujeh Barg. In the Albany Park neighborhood, a very short walk from the Brown Line Kedzie stop.
