It turns out the best Italian food in San Diego isn't in Little Italy, after all. This has become my new go-to for a hearty Italian meal, even if it's a bit pricier than its peers. The ricotta-stuffed gnocchi (in vodka sauce) and spaghetti cacio e pepe were S-tier. Perfectly al dente and generously portioned. We stopped by for an earlier dinner (5:30pm) on a Friday and were seated outside with no wait for a table. The menu is built around the create your own pasta dishes, allowing you to customize with about 8 different shapes and 5 sauces - there are only a few standard dishes (like lasagna, chicken parm). They also offer a cheese wheel pasta (the specific dish changes by the day). This is not your typical food truck / fair cheese wheel pasta - it'll run you $35-$40 but it's an event, prepared tableside with a giant block of aged cheese and a blowtorch. It's good, but personally I'd say the create your own pasta and traditional menu options are better. There was no free bread with the meal, but the food was so good, I didn't even care. All in all a great meal with attentive service. I'd say it's more of an "occasion" spot than a restaurant to hit up on a weekly basis, but as far as Italian goes I couldn't recommend it enough.

We loved to be able to pick the pasta and the sauce. We ordered the Cacio e Pepe, wild boar, eggplant and carbonara. lol the dishes were delicious. The only criticism I have is with the carbonara. I think that the meat could have been slightly more crispy. The restaurant is decorated well and the service was wonderful. Everyone was very friendly. Although I appreciated the smaller menu choices as it kept items fresh, I'm not sure that there is something for everyone. Our friends were a disappointed with the salads they had and I think it definitely is a restaurant for a bit more discerning palate. We enjoyed it as a special occasion restaurant.

The drinks were amazing and desserts were tasty. The staff were very nice and the vibes inside and outside of the restaurant were cool. If I'm ever in San Diego again, I would stop by.
Service was great, food on the other hand was terrible.
Everything tasted frozen and out of a can. We went for happy hour and went based on the reviews.... But never again.

Food was incredible, the pasta was creamy, great portion & perfect temperature. Margarita was yummy too! Service was nice, as someone who works in a restaurant, hospitality is important to me. Bussers were fantastic, waiter was nice, and the host were friendly. I loved the vibe/aesthetic of the place. My only critique is not being able to split the check per item and only down the middle :( besides that i would love to come back in the near future!

Why haven't I heard about this place sooner?! Happy hour is from 4-5pm and definitely one of the bestttt happy hours in town. I stumbled upon here with my boyfriend as we were in the area and wanted a quick bite/drink before hitting the gym. There were plenty of meter parking when we arrived at 4:15pm and scored a spot literally steps away from the restaurant. We didn't have a reservation but there were only 2 other parties at the restaurant so we were immediately seated. Both outdoor and indoor seating was available and this can be a cute date spot for sure ! What we ordered from the happy hour menu: - Cocktails (Pornodivo, Rustic smash, Rustitini, Spice up your life): All good and refreshing but the most memorable one was definitely the Pornodivo. Slightly sweet and tart from the passion fruit puree, served with a shot of Prosecco. - Meatballs: Tender and cooked perfectly, the sauce it came with was perfect to dip our bread in. - Calamari: Lightly fried and came with 2 dipping sauces (marinara and chipotle) - Fried zucchini blossoms stuffed with ricotta: I've had this dish at many restaurants before but this was definitely my favorite. They serve it with fig jam and that hint of sweetness mixed with the melted cheese when you bite into it works soo well together. Also free garlic bread when you check in on Yelp! I wished I had more stomach space but I'll definitely be back to try the build your own pasta and fried burrata!

Wonderful! My parents are visiting and we have wanted to go to Nobu Malibu for years. I tried getting a reservation myself but it was next to impossible. So glad I was able to buy a reservation on appointment trader for a decent price!

I was veeeeeerry skeptical that this would work, particularly at a restaurant as hard to get into as Nobu Malibu, and it was perfect! We had lunch outside on the patio and it was fabulous!

Ok at this point I've attended a reservation purchased on AT by a friend and sold a reservation personally. Both worked pretty smoothly, nothing sketchy about it. A few areas for improvement including a way to more directly communicate between buyers and sellers, but the app always seems to be in development. AT customer support is really(!) responsive and helpful too if you have questions!

As a seller, I like the fact i have the ability now to transfer money out of my AT account and into a bank account. Makes getting the money much easier then the process before.

It can be under your name or a name you choose! Some reservation offers already include the AppointmentTrader Transfer Service which will transfer the reservation in to your name. If its not included you can add it on after buying the reservation for a small fee. One thing on that though: As many reservations become available at last minute, taking a reservation in someone else name is quick and great for privacy. Most reservations on AT are listed with a virtual phone number, so all you need to do is present the phone number at the hostess stand and you are good to go!

Does anyone know how AT plans to handle cases where a seller is quitting the platform but has a sell through rate <25%? The error message I got said to fill more bids or find other ways to increase the rate.
Is AT really going to block sellers from withdrawing their money? Especially revenue made before the sell through rate was introduced??

Your bid has been “matched” with a reservation. From the time a reservation has been located, the seller of the reservation must connect with moderator to give transfer information for reservation. If the seller;however, does NOT respond to reservation transfer, then your bid is reprocessed and returns to the first step, which is connecting your request to a reservation.

to appointmenttrader! Once the reservation is in your portfolio, you definitely own the timeslot, the review team would not have approved the trade if the reservation wasn't confirmed - so you are going :-) Judging from your post you bid today and are going tomorrow - don't worry as long as you initiated the name transfer, you are good - the transfer service has to work with the opening hours of the reservation team of the respective venue. You will likely see the transfer confirmation a couple hours before your reservation time.

Mostly from people who don't need their reservations or appointments any longer. AT has no relationship with places listed and acts as a platform connecting buyers and sellers making sure that listed reservations are real and that privacy is not compromised when transacting.

Hey @FluffyStar64, thanks for the question! When you place your bid the amount gets transferred in a deposit account, the second you either cancel your bid or a few minutes after the bid expires the funds are moved back into your main account from where you can refund it to your payment method or use for other transactions.
